This was actually a major car fire in the car lot at the pick in pull to my knowledge. The units on scene we're Engines 5, 21, and 34, as well as Truck 1, USAR 34A and 34B, Squad 5, Water Tender 21, Battalion 5 and MED 30
Also air 3, also truck 1, and med 30 were never dispatched. Truck 1 was request by battalion 5 and med30 just wanted to attach . Also Wt21 and Engine 21 were requested by battalion 5
In total there was 4-6 cars involved that was spreading to a building. Original dispatch Engine 5 to a car fire. Then Engine 5 arrived on scene and said “give me a structure response and cmd channel”. It added Battalion 5, Engine 34, Usar34A, Usar34B, and Squad 5, “and CMD 12 I believe”.Engine 5 asked for a water tender company, that added Engine 21 and Wt21. Fun fact Wt21 use to be Wt2. Apron arrival of battalion 5, she requested a Ariel truck, the nearest Ariel truck was truck 1. Apron arrival of truck 1 they were cancel. Battalion 5 also request a police response to close down the road. Air 3 “ police helicopter” was in the area and deicide to attach. Med30 decided to attach to the call because it was 100 degrees. The incident lasted 1 hour and a half.
Refuse Collection Of San Jose fun fact as well: when there were 3 USAR companies, USAR-A was USAR 5 and USAR-B was USAR 13. USAR 16 was used for HIT-A. All three trucks just got replaced and went in service last month. Can’t wait to see them on a response!
my fam and I were out and about when we saw the smoke so we scoped it out to be nosey. there were a lot of people watching but we bounced before we got trapped on that street. glad no one was hurt.
Jay Case, I think he was subbing at a different station to cover as a captain. It is really strange to see a engine captain in a usar company. Engine 8 was never called to this fire.
@@refusecollectionofsanjose I don't see your previous comment anymore. I can only assume what you were referring to was the ref to E8? That was back in the day.I was enjoying old memories if thats cool...I'm sure you're aware that the USAR TEAM deployed in that area is E34. In this case 34A if he is still on his same assignment. LOLZ.
Amazing coverage on this one! Love the angles!
