As a disabled musician I watched with tears pouring off my face at the grace and empathy between player and listener. The fact that the elephant understood the emotion of the pieces of music further underscores the statement “ Music is a Universal Language “ where two species can have a common bond and that forgiveness could take place. A feeling that the modern world needs right now.
Chaichana is practically wrapping himself around the piano-his ears are moving and his trunk is curling in response to the music - and he allows his trunk to be gently caressed by Paul. The magical power of music is demonstrated here!🎵🎹💞🐘
These are very beautiful statements. About elephants, music and people with empathy, as you obviously have. Thank you for that. What kind of music is yours, and how do you make it?

Elephants actually have very sensitive feet that pick up vibrations for miles, it's how they track other elephants in the wild. Piano is very soothing for elephants because they can feel the vibrations in the ground, just like Beethoven :))
@@78jujubsYes! Recently learned that in the wild they communicate with each other using very low frequency sounds, each one is individual and below the hearing range of humans, but it can be felt at great distances. 🐘🐘🐘🐘
I love these videos of him playing classical piano pieces for elephants. You can see the elephants' appreciation and interest in how the music is produced.
Dairy operators reported increased production of milk as classical music is played in the dairy barns! I have found that all the animals which live with and in my property are attracted to the music so I utilize a portable player during daylight hours for them. Birds often join in the music making. As we observe, the elephants sing and dance too!
Mr. Barton, you are a lovely, kind man. Thank you for loving these beautiful, gentle giants so much and share your talent with them. I know they appreciate it too.
It's 9 o' clock in the morning here; just had a coffee and watched this beautiful and deeply moving video - what a magnificent start in the day! Thank you very much.
Sir! You are certainly one of Gods gifts! An Angel on earth! Animals are much more than most humans give them credit! If you treat animals like they are smart, you will see they are! Thank you for inspiring others to do the same! Such amazing videos out there! And Thank you for the beautiful music! Well Done! Bravo!!
I think Mr. Elephant immensely enjoyed when Mr. Barton increased the tempo of the music. It's amazing how respectful Mr. Elephant is; he doesn't jostle or touch the piano at all in spite of being so close to it.
Thanks to the Barton Fam. specially Paul with this emotional video ♥ showing respect and love for nature. Also by these days remembering Sunday and the good days she spent with all the family and the living and care she had. Greetings from Honduras, hugs!!!!!
I also drink beer... but I'm not (yet) tattooed. But I'm thinking about it. An elephant with a piano would be a nice motif. But maybe also a guitar, because I can play it better than the piano, even if not very well. But maybe one day I'll meet an elephant who likes my kind of guitar music and with whom I can share it. What a beautiful video. Thx for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this touching moments with us. Perhaps this is a kind of music therapy for old grandfatherly elephants? The elephant seems to be hugging the piano with its trunk as if to say: “Don't go away!”. He wiggles his ears as if he is applauding and touches the foot with his trunk, what is he doing down there (pedal)? Very touching...
Standing as he is nuch of the time, I suspect Chaichana is feeling the vibrations as well as listening to the music. I also wonder if his trunk so near the man is inclusivity. Very nice! Diane, using Joe's tablet
The power of that trunk! I was gently swiped by a curious mighty giant at Knysna Elephant Park... I had something in my pocket and he wanted to investigate... Well!!! I will never forget the sheer force... Never... And he was being gentle... An enraged one must be truly scarey... Paul is a honey.... "The RIGHTEOUS one CARES for the domestic animal. Thank you for sharing this wonderfully touching interaction today. Helps to balance what is happening on the planet.
The elephant takes care not to disturb the piano while he's playing in any way, so gentle a giant. beautiful

Standing over the piano / feeling the vibrations / waltzing in time / using his trunk like a baton .
Isn’t this lovely! Thanks to Mr Burton for his devotion to the elephants.
A magestic elephant with a sophisticated taste for music and a gentle man sophisticated in humanity .... Bravo!!! How beautiful and touching!
Not only that, the elephant's name is translated to 'victory'!

Tiere lieben klassische Musik. Dieser wunderbare Riese genießt es auch sichtlich. ❤
This is amazing to see an elephant enjoying the music so much. They are the most intelligent land animal, humans only being more 😊❤❤
Perhaps we are more INTELLIGENT, but not as WISE as the beautiful elephant!
It's so real, a man in the forest playing a piano to a bull elepant he loves who loves the music 😊

While Chopin was playing, Aurore Dupin would sometime lay under the piano The elephant embraces the piano and asks for an encore.❣❤💔❤🩹❤
Paul this is beautiful. You, Elgar and Chaichana.... who is really enjoying his one-on-one concert.

killing out of a need to eat is necessary at times. Doing it out of greed is another thing and only one species is known for engaging in that.

Love this! Just curious, why do you keep the pedal down throughout most of the Pathétique? Does Chaichana like it better that way? Love from Holland ❤
To think this magnificent animal had the power to crush the pianist and his piano!
