Also the concept of "turtles" could have begun to grow after the two movies because of Gamera's appearance in this universe, giving rise to several merchandise based on his design.
I love the Heisei Gamera, but the bit of lore saying that turtles just don't exist in that universe is just dumb.

With all do respect, I think they did it to try and make the movies more serious. It’s hard to take Gamera seriously when everyone’s calling him a giant turtle

Not gonna lie, suit acting looks really fun at times. And knowing how much some of the suits weigh, its probably a good workout too
Well, maybe the latest ones were more safe, but the actor from the original godzilla movie passed out several times during the recording because it was very sufocating and hot inside.

Hopefully better than the Godzilla anime. And I just realized Gamera needs a fighting game, with fatalities since he tends to kill off monsters in violent ways.

@@keimatsuo2851 I personally enjoyed the trilogy, but it's definitely flawed. The simple fact was that people were expecting a lot of dynamic animated action since it's Godzilla's first official anime film appearance, but instead it was way more focused on the world and characters, it felt like the Big G took a back seat. The design for Godzilla was really cool, but the character ended up being super stiff. So if you're expecting an all-out brawl in 3DCGI anime, you'll be sorely disappointed. That's why a lot of fans are hopeful for Godzillla: Singular Point. Another reason is that each film, while only an hour and a half each, are very slow burns. But, if you can look past all that and let the world and story envelope you, you just might like it. Hope this helps!

The Gyaos’ from Guardian of the Universe always traumatized me as a child. Frankly, they still creep me out. I hope to eventually see a video on them as well now that Gamera kaiju are being covered.
I believe her (super Gyaos) suit actress is the first or one of the first woman to be a suit actor in kaiju films.
Holy cow!! I didn't realize how short the suit actors were!! That behind the scene footage is amazing!! I used to own the ADV DVD boxed trilogy, but I don't remember seeing some of that footage... maybe I am mistake. Anyway, this made my weekend!!! Gamera for life!!!!
It's also a safety precaution I believe. There was an incident in the past where a suit actor was forced to be operated on while his suit was still on him. That never went on well because the suit actor was apparently immune to the anesthesia and had to endure the whole operation awake and feeling the procedure.
Absolutely amazing! Great job man! Did they have to go that extra mile calling him the _Guardian of the Universe_ instead of just _the Galaxy_ though? Really strange they invested so much in turtles in these films too, lol. These are fascinating facts since the three Heisei Gamera are some of my favorite Kaiju films. Keep up the great work!!
Well marvels guardians of the galaxy was already around so maybe they didn’t want a law suit but I doubt it

Yes. Some of his earliest work in tokusatsu was as an assistant on _The Return of Godzilla,_ but he really made a name for himself in the realm of special effects for his work on the Gamera trilogy.

Daiei, Gamera's parent company has mostly been on shaky ground. Being a heavily kid-friendly franchise for a good chunk of its original run with headscratching stories hurt it too.

@@karyakaban8182 True, so Legendary would have purchase the rights to include Gamera in the Monsterverse from Kadokawa Daiei Studio, which would cost extra money, but seeing as Gamera has had a longer hiatus than Godzilla did from 2004-2014, I wouldn’t mind that as long as I get a chance to see at least one Gamera movie, considering I have never seen a Gamera movie before.
