I think you guys made the right decision! I'm crossing my fingers you find "the one" at a not so inflated price. It's really crazy how much homes are selling for right now but it should slow a bit eventually. This house and property is stunning but you would regret it for sure after hearing car after car zoom by! Hope you and Con are hanging in there, we're all thinking of you both.

Thank you so much! We totally agree, we were so close to just going for it but we stepped back and thought about our dream house and knew this wasn’t it. Hoping the housing prices come down soon🤞🏼

Now THIS is true American farmhouse, wish I can show this to any person that thinks of farmhouse as the modern one. No, most farms were detailed to the wood work, there’s typical a porch to greet and entertain, mindful windows, hardwood floor, no grey or solid stark neutrals, not in the suburbs, etc. Thank you for filming this tour, that is a home that is inspirational to understand farms. It’s beautiful but understandable why there were certain concerns if you took it, whomever ends up having it does have a potential jewel but it will be a lot of work to put into it.

The initial look close up & inspecting always has its surprises. Barns that need repairs cam cost a ton of money, even if they can be repaired & lumber prices aren't still very great.

Outside of the house was giving me Forrest Gump's house vibes, just beautiful, but so glad you chose to pass on this one, especially in light of a 55 MPH street so closeby. I live on a busy street where the speed limit is 20, which means people go 30 or 40, and never would I buy on a busy street again. Anyhow, glad to see you posting again, my dear!!! Hope you are in a good and/or better state of mind. Have a great week, pretty lady!

Hi! Just saw your video of this beautiful old farmhouse. I’m a new subscriber. Was scrolling through UA-cam and came across your channel. I completely agree with your decision to pass on this beautiful old property. My husband and I bought a 100 year old farmhouse with 10 acres. It has a barn and a pretty cute shed & chicken coop. But....since we’ve been living in it we’re finding things that are needing some repairs. Things that don’t show up in inspection. Some things were of course obvious to the eye when we first saw it. But other things not until your living in it over time. The barn we knew needed work. It has a newer attached garage addition. But the barn itself needs a lot of work. From what we can tell the bones of the barn seem to be sound. But the siding needs to be replaced and also two of the sections needs a lot of work. We can certainly envision how nice it would be! But.....right now all we see are $$$$ signs!!! Especially with the current high material costs. It sounds like you & your husband have given it a lot of thought. These places are beautiful. But costs to repair can be HUGE!! I have no doubt that you’ll find the one that’s right for you. TYFS! ☺️🍁🍂

Definitely! We thought about that but we’re nervous if our small dog were to get out or kids eventually, it just didn’t feel safe enough for us. And the noise took away from the beauty of the home☹️

The little room at the bottom of the attic, during the time was a sewing room. The cold building would be used for those apples as you said, plus, any gardening harvest produce, potatoes, pumpkins, onion, garlic, squash, etc. That building is a PRIZE!.....

I feel like you need a change and get out of the house where you experienced the loss - I would at least keep this house in mind. It‘s a lovely house and seems to have way less constructional issues than the other homes you were looking at before. Connor and you are great in fixing things. Remember what your current house looked like before. The housing prices seem high, but that way you can ask for a higher price for your house, too.

Yeah this house unfortunately wasn’t worth it. If it was even $200,000 under what they were asking it would be a possibility but the cost to repair the barns and the amount of work/money we would put into we would never get that money back if we sold it.
