    Brings back memories. Whenever i went to shillong i always had this meat pickle at mao. Its was so tasty that it would bring a smile on my face. It was so tasty that I even thought of marrying a warm hearted nagaland girl who could make this meat pickle for me everyday 😂😂.
    Love from manipur

    For all those people saying add garlic in the pickle, it's a pickle. If you add garlic to it, foul smell comes up after few days.

      Not really it's not a cucumber pickel which you get in your typical burger.. If you are cooking naga food the must have item as we mostly boil our food is some sour (fermented bamboo or bamboo venigar) ginger, garlic and schezwan pepper (michina) garlic gives a good flavour and because we fry them in oil it should last up to 6 month without having any bad smell.. And just for experiments just crush some green chilli, ginger and garlic and keep them overnight and see which one will last... + I've work in the food industry for over 8 years now

    Thank you for the recipe. I have a few questions. Since I don't eat beef how do I make it with pork or chicken? And the chilli powder u used, is it to add colour to the meat or for the spiceness. And lastly, for how many days can we use/keep the pickle?.. Keep up the good work! Just a request, please add a detailed recipe in the description box. Thank u!

    • @NagalandFoodie
      @NagalandFoodie  5 років тому +3

      Yes you can use the same recipe for pork or chicken, and chili powder is mainly used for the colour. The pickle if stored in refrigerator will last for a month but if you wish for a longer period you can add little vinegar to it.
