Building a LEGO Winter Village!

- Today we make some changes to the LEGO city and start building the winter village! In order to start building, I had to redo some Star Wars displays, which involved moving the UCS Millennium Falcon, Star Destroyer, Super Star Destroyer, and more. Overall I got way more done today than I originally anticipated! Super excited about the winter village!

The Christmas scene looks great but the anxiety you gave me while moving the Star Destroyer was through the roof.
I know it's technically a Lunar New Year's set but the LNY Ice Festival from early this year might fit in good where the Skating Rink is planned
That was my thoughts too. I'd probably try to get 2 of the coffee figure skaters and change out the face/hair to make a blades of glory Easter egg lmao
I wouldn’t really worry too much about shelf placement buddy, imo those shelf’s are for you and the city is for your viewers. I can’t speak for everyone but for me I don’t notice your shelf’s so much, they look freaking awesome and they’re like a catalog over the past 7 years of lego but I wouldnt beat yourself up so much making sure they’re perfect.
Gotta make the village light up!
im sure there are some people who are really good with technics who can make the tram go back and forth :)
Great start on the LEGO Christmas village!
Omg omg that’s all I kept saying watching you move that ISD!! Dude that set has been the Bain of my existence ever since I moved it more than once and each time it broke down until the point I had to start over on the rebuild and let me tell you those 16x16 LBG plates do NOT stay flat over time, the rebuild was kid off a challenge to say the least
Have you ever thought about flying the faclon from the ceiling? Would look pretty cool. I initially thought it would look Dope over your city flying - but imagined it coming loose and taking out a neighboorhood and cringed - so maybe just flying by the shelves as to incurr minimum damage if it ever fell lol. Thanks again for the Whatnot Stream the other night - can't wait to get my figs. So excited!
You should put your winter village on the raise platform in the city
And all over the mountain, then you can put snow all over the place.
Love this video. Big fan of the winter Village sets so it's great. I'm pleased you are gonna put the snow back in the mcCallisters too. Yeah man I think the sleigh from 2021 over top will be epic 👍🏻
Yeah and put mccallisters temporarily in winterland. Or buy 2nd one;p
Amazing start, that's alot of work, I totally appreciate as much footage as you provided, feels great to see the Christmas village come to life.
You could integrate the 2022 Chinese new year festival ice skate ring into the center of your winter village
I'm so happy you chose to prioritize your Winter Village over the star destroyers. I have to be honest, I think the UCS star destroyers are two of my least favourite Lego Sets because they just look like big grey triangles, so from a display perspective, I think you've made the right choice of focusing attention on more "dynamic" sets.
I Love the Winter Village and its Road
I said it back when you started this arrangement, that table would be perfect for a seasonal area!
I think the boardwalk will look even better and less ‘square’ once you add railings.
Aside from the modulars this is my favourite theme. Love it.
Love the boardwalk. I have an idea why don't you hang the Star Wars ships. I think it would look good.
I was thinking in the middle of the bord walk you could take a section out and have a arch walk over part. For the water fall to run under and on edge of it have a rocky edge. And on one side of the water fall have a bord walk with hand railing that zig zag and Leeds down to the walk way ..🙂👍
Dude, you can definitely do a little Xmas tree sales lot, but don't put all the official builds in there. Just use the old-school pine trees. The official builds with all the lights and decoration would look so much better scattered around the entire village! You have years' worth of them - you gotta show that dedication off!
I’m glad you like the office
Looking really nice !! I would totally leave a snow environment up all year round. Skies the limit to how much more additional stuff that can be plugged in. Really happy for you, your vlogs are coming out really nice now adays. Congratulations, I hope all is going great with your family. Unconditional Love and Light to you all ❤️
Honestly if there was a way to update the village to cover all the big holidays like Easter, Halloween etc....that would be sick.
Totally my home set up, working on collecting "halloween" sets now 👍
Home Alone house would be great in the winter village :)
I think you should move the Star Wars stuff by the door entrance because it looks nice and it’s in the area of the Star Wars
Looking good so far, even though I honestly dislike winter now, I am somewhat feeling a bit excited about things. I sure hope the elf clubhouse is restocked online I want to get it before it officially retires
Maybe we've all missed the answer because we're not thinking about it, because you don't have anything else hung from the ceiling for whatever reason, but, that would solve your Star Wars space problem and look cool, as well! Get as many ships into the air as you can. I know they can't all be hung up (oversized Star Destroyer comes to mind) but something the size of that UCS Super Star Destroyer (ironically smaller than the standard one currently above it) should definitely be hanging from the ceiling. That would allow you to better plan out the existing shelf space! It might take some work to hang the models, but it took work (and money) to build those shelves, eh?
You should add the home alone house to it
If you are going to do a Holiday scene, get all the retired holiday items. The train was cool, there is a post, and a tree cutter as well with a truck! You may need a bigger scene area...but you know what they say " go big or go home!"
I love this project for your channel.
Move shelf around so that winter sets and brickheads are visible? Also, when you first redesigned the room you SAID that you wanted to use that center console for changeable scenes, I think is such a better idea than the SW sets.
It’s looking pretty good bricksie 👍 it would be cool if you motorised your tram for a future video 🚋
I know you don't have the room but I think it would be cool to see the Winter Village section in the Lego City
Great start, looking forward to the complete version of the winter village.
i plan on having my track along the outside parameter of my table with my holiday train and have the buildings in a circle on the inside with a frozen pond in the center and no roads
If you were to redo the winter village just have the sidewalks like you did on your platform in the Lego city so there are no vehicles except a snowmobile or 2. That way it looks a village and have the skating rink in the middle with all the buildings facing the center bordering the rink at all angles. It will make more space for story telling and just to fit more buildings, hills, etc
I like your porg in the backround!
Wow amazing winter village
It looks GR8 !!
This looks great so far but u should add the lego home alone house in there
Maybe you can moc a shorter stand for the super star destroyer to bring it lower.
Ikea Bygglek boxes may help you to create some elevation
you need yellow snow at some points, around trees and fire hydrants LOL
I love it! Christmas scenes are so much fun to design. Good job Bricksie!
Boardwalk looks great and the traversing stairs will look great...certainly adds a border to the water and break up that mountain face. Keep it mind it could be one of those chain pathways as opposed to a proper stairway :)
Seeing as the winter village is "temporary" (keep is seasonally special!) I would just pack and store the Star Destroyers as opposed to keep them out for display. I routinely pack away sets.
For IKEA shelves, with the pegs, you can always set at a lower height, place item, and then incrementally, going form side-to-side, move shelf upward, pin, move, pin :)
for the staircase in the ninjago, maybe build a series of ladders and pathways rather than stairs?
Nice. I love this sort of jobs, changing with the seasons. It's what we do with the kids every time we can.
I saw the trolley was designed for power functions, could be fun to run a straight line back and forth with it in the city
If you have it, you should add the home alone house
Love your whinter vilage
Doritos have round corners to prevent chipping. Perhaps the UCS Dorito I mean Star destroyer needs the same build
Jeeze it’s so cool to find out you’re Canadian but even cooler to find out you’re basically in the same city and go to the same Lego stores as me
McCALLISTER House from Home Alone, you know, I think will fit good in the Village… the Winter Village will reamain all the year right?
What about using the ice rink from the set 80109, Lunar New Year Ice Festival? Just a suggestion
Love the winter village! So excited to see it as you develop it further 🎅🏻🎄
In the new winter villiage as it's coming up to Halloween 🎃 U could do a Halloween desplay in the villiage for the day. Then take it. Out then. Keep adding to the winter villiage leading up to the festive season
I also like the winter village
Looking great
I love watching a project grow from the very start to where ever it leads, like the start of a grand adventure in life.
What type of shelves are you building the winter village on?
Ikea Besta units
Looks great Jordan!!!🎉
looks so good this mmakes me so happy and ready for christmas
You should put a hockey rink in the winter village
Winter Village is coming along great. Definitely needs apt of Christmas trees. I held my breath when you were moving the Star Destroyer, was nervous for you. Loved the video.
I know this is a random question but where did you end up putting BD-1? Never saw him after the shuffle
Wow
Thank you kindly, my winter creative block has poofed!
Super cool I’m gonna build a village too
Once I get the Santa's visit and the holiday main street set I plan to use the 6 foot table in my room as my permanent winter village area with the holiday train going around and winter village train station included and the gingerbread house on a mountain but all the other sets I have right on the table.
A big lego city
Wow! Great start two a new project! The millennium falcon does make sense where you had it first kinda because it’s next two the colosseum, and they are the two biggest LEGO sets (they are, right?) keep up the great work!
Well not about the Winter village.
But looking at that sad SSD. I think you should shorten the stand. It would look better with it being like half the height. If thats possible.
Looks good the placement of the Star destroyer.
Thanks for showing building of winter village! Looking good. I’m new to building and want make village for Holliday season and this gives me great ideas. Only have couple buildings but going try get least one more.
Very nice! The star wars stuff also looks better where it is now, imo. The table would be great for, as you said, changing displays or the evolving winter village.
You’re on to something with this scene Bricksie… it could definitely be a space for cycling scenes throughout the year… after Xmas village it could be a movie MOC scene like Star Wars or a space to highlight architecture like great coliseum and Eiffel tower
The Ninjago, you should have a small bridge far right and have a mini boat to move figures to and from Ninjago city. Also have a small bridge at the stairs on the bottom for the boat. Your idea of long bridge kinda narrow down your water path. Just a thought ;)
Man that big star war s set look Eazy to move than I thort it would if it was solid Harvey build the I guess it would be harder to. Move oh golly gosh. 2 nd attempt trial an era ..just glad you dident drop it. Jordan. 👌🙂👍
You should put the dock in the middle of the river 🙌🏽😰
Seems like you are running out of space :D For me, not having enough space for Lego is the main reason I don't buy much Lego :D Great video though. All the best to you and your family!
You got a lot accomplished today, looks good. Now head over to Toys r Us and get a promo!!
Hmm the easier solution was putting the giant doritos under the tables. Just during the winter🤷🏻♂️👍😂 But when we got to the village part, it looked nice!!
Looks cool. Why not add the Santa's sleigh set?
Very exciting!
What about the home alone house in the village?
Love the village. If you wanted you could change the scene every season.
Your attention to detail is amazing. Love it.
I do think that the odd brown snot brick on dock would be good because you could have mini figs walking along the dock which would look a lot more interesting
Same - don't have any
Lunar new years set is $40 off at Walmart. Guess you’ll have to buy it after all 😛
Loving the winter village.❤
woah that was close one moment when pointy nose of ISD could hook up Slave I and pull it with you into ultimate destruction :P xDDDD yes would be sad but also, oh boy, what a show it would be :P
Hi I am a bid fan all the way from India. I was ur second sub. Keep up the good work.
awesome video jordan the winter village is looking amazing great job
What is the name of the ikea product that you are building the winter village on? Is that a shorter pax unit or something else? I can't wait to see the progress of this scene!
Ikea Besta units
@@Bricksie thank you, wanting to know that for a while 👍🏻
He’s done more work on a winter village than the zoo.. I can’t wait till that inspiration strikes for those poor bagged animals
Man you have got quite a bit of lego
The London architecture skyline is put facing the wrong direction. 7:39
Looking good, I have never been one for a winter scene but I do like the look that you are going with.
How about fitting the ice hockey 80109 set but expanded in the centre
have a Santa flying over the lego city
Great progress on your winter village! Looking forward to it's updates and completion. Do you have any insight into the Santa's Sleigh set 40499 availability in North America? Looks like it's available overseas when I change the country location on the Lego website but not here in U.S. or Canada. Hope we get it available soon! Keep up the good work.
