Beneath the Sugar Sky was so beautiful!!! I love that quirkly little series. It keeps getting better and better every single book. I cannot wait till next January when the next book comes out!! :)
I'm excited to read On the Come Up by Angie Thomas.I really enjoyed reading The Hate U Give!!!!I found your channel not too long ago and i'm soo happy you also come from Montreal!
I never keep up with the release but I always watch this type of vidéos just to make me click when I'm on amazon ( I know bad but it is the easiest way to get my hands on some books in a not mass paperpack édition) or in Waterstones, I fonctionne a bit like you : looking for sequels or more from an author from whom I love the books. And another point non négligeable is that most fantasy series or books we tend to wait years more then months so.. I guess it became a habit to just wait and see😂😂😂 (G.R.R Martin I'm watching you 👀 don't dare die on me like David Gemmel)
I'm really excited for The Seven Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle, Children Of Blood And Bone, 84k, Wren Hunt, Shattermoon, Skysong and the new Brandon Sanderson
I didn’t know there was another Wayfarer book coming out!!! That’s exciting. I’m looking forward to the last in the illuminae series. That’s been fun to read this past year.
I just preordered a Court of Frost and starlight and legendary. So excited! And i really want to read a Book by V.E. Schwab next year. Sorry for my bad english🙈 i‘m from Germany
I’ve been loving how many videos you’ve been putting out recently! I just ordered 2 of Peter Swanson’s books to read in 2018 so I may have to pick up his new one later on. I’m really excited for My Plain Jane, Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare (I’m one that’s still very into the shadowhunter world lol), the third book in the Three Dark Crown series by Kendare Blake and Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalo! So many good books so little time 🤣
"I feel very attacked right now, stop it with your logic" is the mood I am going with into 2018. I just recently started looking at some new releases/translations coming out in my country and I found a few interesting ones. And I will add some from this video to my TBR as well! Great video as always.
Omg 😍 you have a beauty channel too! I follow your reviews on Goodreads as well! I'm buying Vicious with my Barnes & Noble giftcard tomorrow for my bday! & maybe Every Heart A Doorway because I have a problem.
I am like you when it comes to new releases. But one I have been looking forward to since summer. I do not know the english title as I read them in german (or norwegian/swedish) but is is the next book in the Erika Falck/Patrick Hedström series by Camilla Läckberg. Comes out in german and english right at the beginning of next year.
The one I’m most looking forward to is Only Human, the third one in the Themis Files series. That book needs to be released asap! P.S.: Would you consider doing the “First Sentence Challenge” sometime next year? :D
Haha! There's wayyy too many books coming out every year so it's impossible to remember them all :D Fingers crossed you find someone to do the challenge with!
I'm looking forward to Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and the third book in the Nevernight series by Jay Kristoff. I'm also pretty excited about the last book in the Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes 'Immortal Reign'.
I'm also excited for My Plain Jane! It has such a beautiful cover too, so that makes me even more pumped! I'm actually just about to film this video for my channel, and there are definitely a bunch of books that I'm getting because I love the author or they're the next book in a series, with only a few new books that I don't know much about!
Love watching your videos! I only follow a few booktubers but you are my fav by far. Mostly because you have such an eclectic taste in books and you read just as many older books than new. I was curious if there's any booktubers you would recommend?
I'm definitely anticipating The Light of All that Falls by James Islington which is the final book in the Licanius Trilogy. It's supposed to come out in August and I'm hoping that it doesn't get pushed back.
hey emily! I love the video, I was wondering if you’re making the breakdown of your readings like statistics and all the different genre you read, like the one last year?
I'm really looking forward to the fourth book of J. K. Rowling's Strike Series, and the next Locke Lamora book (the fourth as well!). I've almost lost my hope in G. R. R. Martin's Winds of Winter, though. I'm sure that the books I'm interested in will be published during my finals, just to help me stay focused ;)
I'm looking forward to The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden and The Thorn of Emberlain (although the first Gentleman Bastards is still my favourite by far!)
Hi Emily! I think it would be a great idea to make a video reviewing your most anticipated books of 2018 (well, at least the ones you have read). By the way, I could't stop laughing when I saw All The Beautiful Lies (I have already seen that you haven't enjoyed it very much, jajaja). Greatings from Spain!
The kind worth killing sounds great!......Reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's movie Strangers on a Train *EDIT* *which is based on the book by Patricia Highsmith* .Which everyone should see at least twice.
I noticed the book on your shelf by Robert McCammon. Is it A Boys Life? I can’t see the title.....if so, it is one of the very few books that I reread. It’s a great story. Hope you enjoyed it too.
I'm new subscriber to your video, I like how you being so honest about your opinion on books, and it totally refreshing that books on your videos is not similar with other booktubers. Can you make a video about books in your shelf that you didn't read yet in 2017? lol.
I want to read Batman which is the 2nd in the DC Icons series by Marie Lu (Wonder Woman Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo was the first), its coming out in a few days and then this summer Sarah J. mass comes out with the third book which is Catwoman. I love the superhero/super villain stuff lol! I also want to read Plain Jane for sure! Oh and King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo which I think is set to come out in 2019 so quite a ways to go lol! Jandy Nelson was supposed to come out with a book called Fall Boys and Dizzy in Paradise in 2017 (according to an interview she gave a long time ago) but I don't know what happened with that 😯
Hey Emily was wondering if you read "the last days of Rabbit Hayes". I know it's been out there for a while but I only got a chance to read it this month and I loved it.
I just got Vicious for Christmas, just in time to read it before the sequel comes out. By the way the author mentioned a trilogy on GR. Vicious, Vengeful and Victorious. So I guess there'll be a third book in the next few years :) About those I'm waiting for: - The exact opposite of okay, by Laura Steven. - The wicked deep, by Shea Ernshaw. - #murdertrending, by Gretchen McNeil (still on the fence about this one, actually). - Catwoman: Soulstealer, by Sarah J. Maas. - What if it's us, by Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli. And I'd like to read the Call, by Peadar O'Guilin, because there's a sequel coming out in March and I've read great reviews, so I'm curious.
I'm so excited to read the next book in the Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch. I adored The Lies of Locke Lamora even though it's not that easy to get into. But the release date for the Thorn of Emberlain has not been set yet :( I think it's been pushed back at least 2 years so far because it was supposed to be 2016.
I finished the Lies of Locke Lamora books last year. And yeah, I loved them and cant wait for the fourth book!!! The way the author writes sort of changed through the third book. Later on I read he got divorced while writing it. Probably one of the reasons the 4th book got delayed, I dunno. Either way, go for it!
I read The Lies Of Locke Lamora in the beginning of this year, i really liked it but bc i only read Mistborn last month i thought that they where similar, i think you will like the book, i just bought the second one
I'm REALLY excited for Everless. The UK cover is just so beautifull. But I think it's YA so I'm a little sad about that cause I think the theme is really dark and when its dark I prefer that its adult fiction cause usually "dark" YA are not dark at all -_-. But yess I'm very excited about that. Then there is falling kingdom last book in febuary I believe and the final book of the Dark artifice (an other mortal instrument serie, i know I know its never ending). I have not even started Dark artifice but all the fans say that its so good and I'm getting back into this series because of the TV show ahahah so I'M excited :)
Oh sorry.....the only things I've seen online are that he's possibly releasing it in 2018 that all. I guess I got my info wrong or I was reading it wrong somwwhere. Didn't mean to offend anyone...
I'm not offended at all, I just don't want you to be disappointed when we get to 2019 and it still hasn't come out. I think the date just keeps getting pushed back, it might be why you have seen 2018 somewhere. Goodreads currently says 2020 but who knows? Oh, and by the way, it won't be the last book. There are seven books planned for this series, so there's another one planned after Winds of Winter, A Dream of Spring. There are even rumours about an eigth book. So brace yourself for another ten years of waiting (I meant that to be funny but I fear it's actually quite sad...)
Totally agree about Scythe, the premise had my imagination running wild with all the possibilities and the execution was pretty meh unfortunately. I’m looking forward to reading The Woman in the Window by A J Finn in 2018!
Madeline Schwarz I have heard so many people say that the characters or flat or boring. I’m not going to put it high in my tbr either then 😂 I have too many other fantasy books that I have to read haha
Sugar sky made me drop a tear (even tho there's no Jack :'(:'( my mad scientist bae) also I can't w a i t for third book of long way to a small angry planet :D:D:D:D

You are pumping out booktube videos like crazy and I am HERE FOR IT!
There's one every day until the end of the year!!
LOL I love you - "stop it with your logic". I cannot keep track of whats coming out either so no worries :)

I have a "2017 Wrap Up and 2018 Reading Goals", a "top 18 books to read in 2018" and another reading challenge video coming!
Beneath the Sugar Sky was so beautiful!!! I love that quirkly little series. It keeps getting better and better every single book. I cannot wait till next January when the next book comes out!! :)

I’ve been loving how many videos you’ve been putting out recently! I just ordered 2 of Peter Swanson’s books to read in 2018 so I may have to pick up his new one later on. I'm super stoked about Iron Gold by Pierce Brown. Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence and Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh.

I KNEW I FORGOT ONE!!! I can't wait for that one too!
I would need someone else to do that challenge so if I find someone whiling then yes!
Haha! There's wayyy too many books coming out every year so it's impossible to remember them all :D
Fingers crossed you find someone to do the challenge with!
I'm also really excited for Peter Swanson's new book! One you didn't mention that I'm looking forward to is Skyward by Brandon Sanderson.
I love your point of view! It's honest and helpful.
I'm looking forward to Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and the third book in the Nevernight series by Jay Kristoff. I'm also pretty excited about the last book in the Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes 'Immortal Reign'.

I loved A long way to a small angry planet and need to read the second. I have them on my kindle and would love to own them at some point.
I'm so excited to read the next book in the Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch. I adored The Lies of Locke Lamora even though it's not that easy to get into. peter swanson also has a book called "girl with a clock for a heart". its also very good.
I didn't know the new book after My Lady Jane was about Jane Eyre!! I'm so excited :D
Me neither!! Now sadly we have to wait 6 months... that's why I hate knowing when books come out as I don't want to wait!! 😂
BookswithEmilyFox I know exactly what you mean! I very rarely read books as they come out so waiting is so frustrating lol!
This was such a great video, I have been really looking around for upcoming books that are not YA and that is exactly what you did! Thank you so much!
There are still so many series I need to catch up on!
It's never ending... but a good problem to have ;)
Haha
On goodreads (Vengeful’s page) , Schwab said that vicious (call The Villains series) will be a trilogy...Vicious - Vengeful - Victorious)
I finished the Lies of Locke Lamora books last year. And yeah, I loved them and cant wait for the fourth book!!! The way the author writes sort of changed through the third book. The book I'm looking forward to the MOST coming out in 2018 is Winds of Winter by George R.R. Martin! It's the last in the Game of Thrones series!!!
Is it for sure coming out? I heard he really hasn't actually written anything yet...
Yeah, not to burst your bubble but GR says "expected publication: 2020", so don't hold your breath :S
Oh sorry.....the only things I've seen online are that he's possibly releasing it in 2018 that all. I guess I got my info wrong or I was reading it wrong somwwhere. Didn't mean to offend anyone...

OMG. YES. Mine.
Are you Mexican? 💛
no, she's french canadian
Unrelated to this video but I saw in another that you recently got this book and I just felt like I should warn you about it, but the book is Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I've only just recently found your channel (I love your videos!) but I have definitely caught on to the fact that you don't really like romance very much in books and Three Dark Crowns, at least up to the point that I DNF-ed it at 133 pages and from the negative reviews I've seen of it, it's actually centers more on three different romance plots than anything else. And they are really, really bad romance plots. Problematic in some ways, honestly, on top of insta-love and romanticizing toxic relationship elements. And these are complaints coming from someone who loves romance in stories.
Just wanted to warn you, like I said! I didn't want you to go into thinking, like I did, that it would be a politically driven dark fantasy since that's what I kept hearing. It's really only dark in a #aesthetic way (there was a scene with--and this is not a spoiler--human sacrifice and I think we were supposed to be horrified but I'm honestly not sure because it elicits no emotion from the reader) and when it's not being #dark it bounces around from one underdeveloped romance to another.
Sorry for the long comment! I just DNF-ed it yesterday so the feelings are still fresh and I just want to save people from it. Or at least warn them of it.
