Evening Stel, good video mate, tks as always. I'm 67 and followed us for 60yrs. Last season I completely lost interest in our club. We were shite, going nowhere and beaten most weeks playing crap, lifeless football with a crap, uninspiring egotistical & arrogant manager. When Moyes was got rid of it was like a weight being lifted from my shoulders, I became enthusiastic again and was really looking forward to this season playing good football again and fancied a top 8 minimum performance. Now? I'm exactly where I was with Moyes all over again and this time I cannot see it changing because I'm certain Sullivan will keep Lopetegui through this season and yet he's clearly utterly crap. I just can't be bothered with it all again & it really pi**es me off all over again. What a complete shambles of a club we are.
I was aware when Steiden came to us that he was just one cog in the wheel at Bayer Leverkusen. A number of West Ham UA-camrs pointed this out at the time
@@davidcooke8059 the only UA-camr who pointed this out that I know of was Geo from @hammerschat Many other channels, my own included, thought he’d bring a refreshing approach to west ham and our transfer dealings
@ - possibly, I certainly didn’t think he was the messiah. I think the whole board are hopeless, so until the shareholders sell up there won’t be a change
@@jamesbong4928 - yes, absolutely, but from a fans point of view nothing will change for the better until they’re gone. Even then, it’s possible things could change for the worse
I’ve probably said this before but I think the problem is we are half heartedly trying a system that only works if you fully commit. Unless Tim picks style, manager and players it just doesn’t work. Sullivans only job should be sign checks. Loopys only job should be to coach. You can’t judge Tim when he has only partial say. We have no idea how many data driven targets were rejected by Sullivan. Was Duran really on our radars before we were linked with him? Seems the data was excellent but Sullivan didn’t write the check. We had several rughtbacks on the radar and whk did Sullivan pick, oh yeah, the Salthouse client. I’m not saying Tim is perfect but I don’t expect him to be, not all transfers will work, it would be unrealistic to expect 100% success but I don’t think we can judge him when the system isn’t implemented correctly and he has one arm tied behind his back.
Many fans are saying much the same thing But I look at how the transfer window went and believe Steidten had more say in player targets than we think He spent ages out in Brazil trying to sign players and came back with an unknown 18 year old He could have spent most of that time in Europe trying to get players in this market but he seemed hell bent on not coming back from Brazil empty handed Then when you look at at Fullkrug - no one put a gun to his head to sign him. He was indeed a Steidten pick I think Steidten is proving to be a bit of a fraud but I don’t suggest for a minute that Sullivan is excused from any of the blame of where we are at as a club right now
@ he knows that he’s getting found out so it’s back against the wall and throw as much mad as possible in the hope that some may stick elsewhere. Classic blagging tactic
Wow 😮!! Well done!! Very interesting insight re truth of Steidten’s history & who was really the true brains behind Bauer Leverkusen’s recruitment success. This goes to show how important it is for us to do more research about many things in life. Still suspicious re Sullivan’s and Lopetegui’s involvement in current matters…………
This team is rotten from top to bottom Sullivan can't keep his nose out so steidten can't do his job properly we have a manager who was out of work. We now no why! And half the team want out in between getting sent off we have a 35 year old striker and a German striker who can't settle in this country you could not make it up ⚒
Hello Stel hope you're doing good at least Ammers can't ruin this weekend lol.Tbh if there was a hole to fall into West ham would oblige obviously both loppy and Tim have been poor choices from board level. We all see what's happening but the train driver keeps going should have made a change last week but done nothing says it all.
Forgetting the most important component here Stel,Sullivan is the problem.Whilst he is here we won’t relinquish control and Steidten is merely a puppet in this whole circus.Sullivan is guided and directed not by Steidten, but influenced by Salthouse and Silkman only.I would disagree with you ref Sullivan being pragmatic,he is an schister and common denominator is money too him,is he cheap,is he available and is he controllable.Oh has he heard of the bloke and has he prem league experience. This is why Amorim didn’t join us,Sullivan probably said to him never heard sonny have you ever managed in the Prem league no I haven’t so Sully says end of interview, how embarrassing
Not disagreeing that the buck stops at the top But by that logic then it was wrong for Sullivan to appoint Steidten and we should have gone for Monchi at Aston Villa instead
@ I’ve heard Steidten was a Kretinsky appointment but not sure if that is true or not?Where we did go wrong is missing out on Emery,we should have beaten Villa to the punt on that, sleepy Sully at the wheel. I think with our current structure the last thing we need is a director of football,as Sullivan will always want a hand in the dealings and it’s a controlling hand sadly
@ right now Stel,Sullivan,Steidten and Lopetegui could all leave and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid to be honest.Clean slate new owner, director of football and head coach, there you have it my Christmas wish list to Santa?he does exist mate doesn’t he 😂😂😂
Agreed there are many faults with those at the helm. But the hyper-critical West Ham fanbase has a lot to answer for too. They create an air of unappeasable hostility which makes it difficult for anybody without the thickest of skins to succeed. They are the reason that many players fail to settle, and they create an atmosphere within the London stadium that must be fing horrible to play or work in. One of worst managed and supported clubs in entire league. One might sat that West Ham fans have got the best that they can hope for given what they deserve.
So, how are Leverkusen doing this season? They just got a draw with the team at the bottom of the Bundesliga. How can you properly judge Steidten, when he clearly doesn't have the control that he was expecting? Lopetegui has been a disaster, who would make a City side look bang average.
You’ve only got to look at the players he’s signed to see he has control We sanctioned the £20m signing of an unknown 18 year old Brazilian that no one has heard of and a 32 year old injury prone striker That seems pretty evident that Steidten was afforded the freedom to do his job here at West Ham
@@WESTHAMVOICE How does he have control, when the coach probably wasn't even on his list. As I said, Lopetegui could make any side look bad. We know that Kudus, Alverez and Bowen can deliver, but what have they managed this season? It would be like shopping for ingredients expecting Gordon Ramsay to cook, only for it to be Doreen, from the local cafe, doing the cooking.

How the wind changes at West Ham re the high press 🤣
Enjoy the remains of the weekend, dude.
Sullivan is, and has been, the problem from Day One!!!
Your right david Sullivan is the problem
We already knew he was not the one responsible for leverkusen titles last year
Many people credited him for building the team that won the Bundesliga
@WESTHAMVOICE I know many people credited him for winning the Bundesliga
Best west ham fan channel❤
Thank you really appreciate that
I Blame David Sullivan. Because i though Tim Steidten was the director of football and it was his job to find the new Coach!!
I believe Steidten did have a way in the signing of Lopetegui
Agree Stel, we should be playing mid block. Most of the top teams plays exactly mid block.
Doesn’t take much to change the system

Good evening, Stel.
good evening Stel ,
Steiden was a great signing problem is he wasnt allowed ti go the whole hog and pick the coach. Sullivan us the frigging issue. Its frigging obvious
I still maintain that Steidten had a hand in bringing Lopetegui to the table
Loppy wanted Soler it wasnt stieden. The only reason we got him was he is Spanish!
Then the interfering of steidtens job is coming from Lopetegui and not Sullivan as many would have us believe
Does Steidan get on with anyone Stel??
