- It's Back to School time and today is the official First Day of School 2020. Our kids first day of school 2020 started out as a disaster but as the day went on things seemed to brighten up. It's still so strange to me that you guys start school well after half way through the year. 6 of our kiddos are school age and they are almost three quarters through the school year. Love seeing all the differences, thanks so much for sharing! 😍
Our schools here in Sweden have never shut down through all this pandemic .so it is interesting to see how you all get through the changes .you did a wonderful job by the looks of it and hopefully it will run smoothly in the coming days ...
It’s amazing how they have made so many adjustments in such a short time! I’m so glad the kinks are getting worked out efficiently. The positive attitude y’all have about it certainly makes a huge difference. School will be forever changed due to these new (and sometimes better experiences) we are having.
I was a secretary for an elementary school in Georgia for many years. Believe me, when I say, even if the kids are in a school building, nothing goes as planned. You, the parents, just do not know about it. First day of school is always rough for the kids and teachers. It’s nothing new. Have a great year!

Hi Phillip's family!! Hope school went well for everyone. Hope all the issues we're fixed. Middle school and high school started at 7:15 and elementary was 8:15 when I was in school. I had to be up at 6:15 some friends had to get up at 4:15. The online school would be different for me. Hope school goes well and smoothly for everyone. We're continuing to pray for Braden. Good Luck guys, looks like you have an awesome set up for school. My daughter has been back at school a week now 9am - 3pm every day here in England. Wish we were still home schooling with such worrying times. They are predicting another lock down by Christmas. Glad Braden is doing well, hope he is staying safe with all those fires and travelling smoke.
Scorpions hate the smell of lavender - you could try planting 2 or 3 around your yard (if possible next to the garage). Just a thought. I like to go to Winco and get Basil in bulk - a lot of bugs hate it - you should see me out in my yard whenever I see something I don't like I am out there tossing it around like rice at a wedding. Neighbors probably think I am nuts .
Loved today's video! I hope the kids have a great school year. I am doing online school, I had planned on moving to the college I am in and live with my grandparents because they live in the area where my school is, however they are both at high risk so I decided to do online this year and if things go back to somewhat of a normal state next year make the move. Here in Maine the high schoolers can either do 2 days of school a week or home school. My Grandson started kindergarten today, he did great! And yes, Jesus does change your life. Can't imagine my life without God on my side.

So yesterday was our first day of school and it was rough and stressful 39 years old trying to figure out cyber school it's a brand new program today was definitely better!! It's a learning curve for all of us 😂 just think how much smarter all of us parents are going to be!!!!

I live in Vegas and my son is in kindergarten. We are struggling. I think it’s a lot harder on the younger kids. We didn’t have issues with our internet but I only have 1 kid in school. I have to sit with my 5 year old and help him the whole day. I also have a 1 year old and a 3 year old. So needless to say I’m having a hard time juggling them all. My oldest is also developmentally delayed. So he has an additional class for reading, writing, math and he gets speech therapy once a week.

My son has three days virtual and two days in class. His Calculus teacher hates the set up so they are not getting anything from him on the virtual days which means they will get a lot on their in class days. My son is not all that sure how well that will go.
Ooo i have my first day on on sep 1st but we are getting are own school assigned Chromebooks with all the lesson downloaded on it so we dont have to use wifi we are doing the same secudule like a few days a week are in school and the others are homeschool

The exact same thing happened here as well. I've heard nightmare stories from all of my friends about all issues they've experienced. It's going to be a definite learning curve for everyone, everywhere.

My daughter did virtual school from fourth grade on. Her school is virtual based and they have problems every year the first week.
Even using K12 we are still having problems with not only the students either not being able to get in or getting kicked out but our teachers are having trouble. The gremlins keeps tricking.
Omg my first week of school as a teacher/counselor was hilarious. I got kicked off because my WiFi was overloaded. A student asked me was I living in a whole. Lol I noticed that the system we use lags terribly or doesn’t work at all

I'm a first grader teacher in it's hard for us to have the kids online we can't wait for are students to return to school we are hope for they. Can come back and 9 weeks

Nothing wrong wiv going to both places. Tina is a good TA. Teaching assistant. It’s awesome that the school started the issues. I’m also a hands on leaner and find wiv online uni I get hands on tasks. Danny’s mic is funny. It’s awesome to hear stories from bradians missionary.

I wish we could eat ice cream, we are lactose intolerant. Can’t complain tho Chapmans makes an excellent Frozen Sherbet that tastes like ice cream. Also, if you go to Chapman’s ice cream site they give you a $4 coupon once a year on any of their products :)
Trying to get caught up on videos again. I hope my kids e-learning 1st day goes well. It will be my daughters 1st and last year of junior high in 6th grade then she goes to another junior high for 7th grade then move to the high school after. Our town rebuilt and closed some schools here. It will be my sons 1st and last year in his new grade school 4th grade.

I'm so glad I don't live in a large city. My kids attend a small Christian Academy and have been back IN school since Aug 17th. Doing the whole masks and social distancing malarkey. But at least they are allowed to be back amongst their peers. They start school at 830 out at 3. They use to get out at 130 on Fridays, but due to the whole possibility of being sent home at anytime due to Covid risk, they are doing extended hours on Friday, in hopes to get as many required hours in before the possible back in home zoom classes.
We hope they’ll get to go back soon

PFB make this chicken for PFB foodies please. Take chicken breast and cut into strips. Marinated in mayo (just enough to coat chicken for 8-10 hours. Than take spicy nacho Doritos crush them up and roll the chicken coated in mayo into the crushed Doritos. Bake at 375 until done. Enjoy

That scorpion reminded me of there was a huge spider on my shower curtain last night, I was about to shower got in an saw the spider an screamed. I then needed to kill it, so I proceeded to kill it. Still have two spiders in my bathroom, but they are in hard to reach areas, what's the best way to kill them? Any ideas?
