- It is now to get a head start on that Spring Cleaning by deep cleaning and decluttering the boys bedroom. Here is an extreme boys bedroom clean out where Tina has the boys team up with her to pick up, clean out, declutter, and organize their bedroom and closet. Cleaning out boys bedrooms is not a fun or easy task. For whatever reason clothes, toys, blankets, video games all get thrown on the floor and nobody seems to know who did it. Even though they do their regular pick up bedroom chores everyday the bedroom still seems to be a mess. How do you feel once your bedroom is cleaned out and decluttered? Bedroom cleaning system: throw clean laundry on the bed during the day thinking I'll get around to folding it. Throw it back in the basket at night to be able to sleep on bed. Repeat process over the next few days until all clothes are dirty again!😂
my kids I make wash and dry their own clothes folding put away I don't do it for him and if it's not fully loaded and put away in their drawers I take it out and they're going to redo it
@@sherriexley2929 all of my kids have their chores that they do. We're a family and we all need to work together, I just don't make them do their own laundry. It's just a personal thing that probably stems from having a rough childhood. They do however love to help with the laundry and I love that they want to help. 😊
how's it going to learn how to do stuff on their own if you don't let them do their own laundry my kids are 14 12 and 9 and are more than capable of doing their own laundry
@@sherriexley2929 my kids are 1, 2, 6,9 and 17. The older ones are capable of doing the laundry. Like I said they have always helped me while I've done laundry. They know how to do it I just like doing it for them. I feel like it's whatever works for your family. 😊👍

I think some home work is good, but not stuff that is due the next day! I think having one or two projects each term that are due at the end of the term will teach kids responsibility and time management. Ethan is right!! 6 hours a day of school is enough!!

You're so right with the check list thing. Sometimes we create these big check lists to get done. But, we also have to remember to take time to rest. If we dont take time to rest, our body will make it for us.

I think far too much homework is given now. I don’t remember ever bringing home hours of assignments when I was in school. I feel like I got a great education. I have a system for cleaning kids bedrooms- I don’t 😂.....but my kiddos are 22 and 26 now, they have been doing their own laundry and cleaning since they were about 13...a good age to start accepting more responsibility in my humble opinion 🤓
I’m definitely different when it comes to my room. I find things better when it’s messy! But then all of a sudden I get the serious urge to deep clean my room!! I’ve rearranged my room about 5 times in the last 3 months.
My cleaning has always been clean as you go. I have always put things right back where they go. I taught my children as well. So my house was never messy. But i also would go thru all the rooms and do a through cleaning at least once a week. And that's my cleaning system. Kids are all grown now, and I still use this system. You all have very good decorating skills.

I check clothes what fits and what works what I still wear 2x a year fall and spring as living in Canada we dont wear shorts or lighter sweaters till May/june and in Sept I check if still have enough warm p.js warm socks etc.

Clean floor then clean bathroom then vacuum. I can't stand a dirty and unorganized bedroom. My favorite go to supper is breakfast. Yes I believe in homework. Glad Emberlynn and Ethan are feeling a lot better. Can't wait for Survival. It's one of my favorite shows. Love that y'all watch it together and have a little competition on who's going to win. I start at the door work my way in. Once the bulk of the room is done I use the back of the broom to pull everything out from under the bed. Clean that up then do their closets. Make the bed. Finally I wipe down all surfaces & windows then vacuum mats & carpets. Empty the bin. Quick spray of lavender & chamomile.

a quick and easy dinner for me is either chicken noodles with peanut butter mixed in, or shall pasta, bacon, cream cheese and onion. Both so yummy.

Our kids spend 7 hours a day at school to come home and work more. As adults in the U.K. standard working hours are 8 hours for full time I think as kids that’s to much to ask them. Education is important but they are kids too and need time to unwind and have fun they shouldn’t have to stress about getting homework done x
Cleaning is not fun bur it has to be done to keep a clean house for the family. And a;so helps keep sickness down.

my quick easy dinner would be either mac and cheese for kids as i can't eat gluten right now. but my go to meal what i had last night would be brocalli pecan salad it was yummy. well we moving so got organise rooms which i love . but we have our babies having blessing at church tomorrow . we bought some cute white dresses last babies unless god blesses us more but i can say 9 is ok for us for sure

I just clean everyday. Literally, if I don’t then things just get cluttered.
I teach middle school math, and don't see a huge difference in what my students know based on how much homework I assign. I think it is good to see if students can do a few problems when not in the classroom, but I rarely assign over 5 problems.

I’m a neat freak clean freak so I clean as I go. Unless my stamina is gone or I’m having a bad health day. I don’t let things get out of hand.growing up we decluttered regularly and if we were told more than once to clean and our room wasn’t clean whatever was left out got bagged up and donated.

My 3rd grader has a math packet each week. 1 page a day Monday thru Thursday. And a reading packet with one article and some questions. So not much. I don’t believe in a lot of homework. Some is ok.
I agree with Ethan you are in school all day and learning then come home boom more learning sleep wake up start again.. I know teachers want to see how much kids learned but isn't that what tests are for? Idk just my opinion!😊
My son is in the 5th grade and his school has lifework (homework, but they call it lifework) and the reasoning behind it is that it prepares them for college. In college if you don’t do homework and don’t read, you will most likely not do well. My son does go to a preparatory school (5th through 12th grade) and 100% of the seniors graduate and are going to a 4 year university (majority of them with scholarships). The lifework is not an all night thing though, it’s one page of work for math, one page of work for science and one page of work for English and he has to spend 30 minutes reading a chapter book, so about 45 minutes to an hour of “homework” and I know it will be a little more as the grades go on but that’s the reality of higher grade levels.
He’s getting good grades and learning easier at this school than his last with the addition of the lifework, his last school did not allow homework. I agree that most of the education needs to take place in school but homework helps to give children independent learning and study skills as well as time management skills and responsibility. My son’s school also believes that learning and reading should be something that happens beyond the classroom and I agree, learning is a lifelong process and that is why they call it lifework and not homework. 📚

I saw some homework because I have a first grader and he comes home with a packet of homework that has to be turned in the next day in it's 10 to 15 pages of homework I think that's way too much for a first grade .

One thing that bothers me the most about this room is how there’s no daylight. For their eyes and their brain ts important that there’s sunlight. I would suggest you move the bed if you’d like to
I hate homework with a passion. It’s just not necessary
I believe homework should only take one hour unless you have a project to do. I also don’t think students should be punished if they don’t do it unless it always happens. And even then it shouldn’t be anything horrible.
Dear parents!
When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!!

Boys room looked awesome Tina. I don't do my kids rooms their responsibility and they are good at keeping it up. They knew if its not clean no friends over. Since our house is the hang out spot. Since we have a game room and a pool. You have asked before about homework, I feel that 30 minutes in enough for elementary kids. Higher grades 30 minutes reading and up to 30 minutes of work 2 to 3 nights a week is ok. Since its usally projects or writing a paper. Or studying for a test.

Mixed feelings..as teacher and student...of math and science..I gave homework but assignment usually ahead notified. One school taught at..each subject had certain days..taught..middle..and high school . I did not give busy work..usually had projects.

I feel like my Child Spends 8hrs a day away from home. She leaves at 8 and comes home at 3:45,She hardly has time to eat dinner and shower before she's gotta go to bed,get up and do it all over again. So you wanna give our kids homework that might take over an hour somedays when they probably have 4hrs with family at home. And wanting them to read for 30 mins a day. No people get rid of the homework and just have reading for 30 mins im fine with.
