Just for anyone who’s like is Jonathan as nice as he seems? The answer is no, he’s so much nicer. He came to my production of Spring Awakening directed by a friend of his and talked to me at a bar for several hours, just incredible generous.
He really is. I met him for the first time in the streets of nyc… what are the odds of that? He was so sweet and greeted me like an old friend (he kind of is, our families knew each other and I’d communicate with him before). But yes he really is so generous and loving!!
I love seeing guests thanking Seth for the pandemic shows. I'll never get to thank him in person for that time and everything else since, so I love to see others do it 💙🐾

Groff and everyone in Knock at the Cabin did such deeply profound and movingly emotional work in M Night's best movie ever. I can not recommend the film enough. It is possibly the most emotional "horror" movie ever.

I don't watch a lot of movies these days, because I hate comic-based material which is just about all that gets made anymore, and M. Night had started to wear on me, but I may have to see the new film because of this interview. It reminded me of how absolutely lovely it is to watch or listen to Mr. Groff. I adore that man.
I love all the actors in Frozen but, for the life of me, I couldn't make it past 45 minutes. I can't hardly believe he was in Mindhunter. That is one of my favorites and it needs morel seasons. This guy can play everything.
ok now I want to know more about his upbringing it seems like there is a lot of story there. I loved when he said he didn't even know if there was a football game that was so cute
He's adorbz. He had just left Hamilton when I was lucky to grab a seat, but saw him at a concert in SF where he was filming the special Looking wrap-up. Then saw him twice in Little Shop; it was that good! Now looking forward to Merrily We Roll Along -- weird how a flop can come back to life and be a success (or hopefully will be).
Right off the bat I know I am going to love this movie, because: 1, Jonathan is in it 2, it's an M. Night. movie 3 It looks like it's going to be a really good movie.
Love him, LOVE Matrix series including my favorite which is Resurrections which he's in, and LOOOVE Mindhunter it's torture wlonging for another season
CORRECTION: at 7:16 Jonathan gets around to correcting Seth by referring to M. Night Shyamalan simply as "Night." Whereas Seth repeatedly calls him "M. Night." When someone initializes their first name, it's a sign that they don't go by it, and certainly, not be called by the initial. Friends and co-workers with John F. Kennedy wouldn't regularly address him by saying, "Hi, John F." In that case, the "F" is not used with the first name, but only formally in the third person. And so, Mr. Shyamalan's co-workers don't call him "Emnight," but just "Night." It's the name he goes by.
Correction! This has already made a corrections appearance! ...And you're wrong lol Anything can chomp. Its a phrase. If I asked a horse to chomp,or champ,I'm sure it literally wouldn't know the difference.
Yes, at 10:18 Seth's question is rude to his guest, beyond being ignorant, because it's entrapment to encourage your guest to agree to something stupid like "chomping at the bit", which doesn't exist! Ask a horse if it exists and they'll ignore you. Horses are smart that way.
Love Jonathan Groff. The movie based on the book 'The Cabin at the End of the World' was absolutely butchered and made for some particular audience who wants a conclusive ending without using brains.
Dear Seth, Merrily was the first new collaboration between Sondheim and the legendary director Hal Prince since their triumph, Sweeney Todd, in 1979. However. It followed a decade in which they'd been the composer/lyricist and director behind 5 of the most daring musicals ever made, which won a combined 30% of the Best Musical Tonys and 45% of the Tonys for Best Score (in one year, the Score category was separated into Best Music and Best Lyrics, both of which were awarded to Sondheim). This is in addition to Prince's many successes outside of his Sondheim partnership (the Candide revival; On the 20th Century; Evita; and others). Resentment was growing. In addition, some questionable choices were made in the design and casting of the show, along with the fateful decision to skip out-of-town tryouts and conduct previews in New York. As a result, the theatre community was mostly out for blood. The schadenfreude is palpable in the 1981 reviews (apart from Frank Rich, who's clearly anguished by the failure). So no. I wouldn't say there's always been a market for the original Merrily. Instead, the show was revised and revamped a few years later in a La Jolla Playhouse production that resulted in the version that's been licensed ever since. And *that* version has been breaking people's hearts for nearly four decades.

Mindhunter should be completed. I do not understand why someone hasn't put up the money to get this finished.
