Lin-Manuel Miranda (born January 16, 1980)[1] is an American composer, lyricist, actor, singer, rapper, producer, and playwright, widely known for creating and starring in the Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton. His awards include a Pulitzer Prize, three Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a MacArthur Fellowship, and a Kennedy Center Honor in 2018.
Miranda wrote the music and lyrics for the 2008 Broadway musical In the Heights. The stage musical has been made into a film, also titled In the Heights, which is scheduled to be released in June 2021.[2] His work won the Tony Award for Best Original Score,[3] the show's cast album won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album,[4] and the show won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Miranda was also nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his lead role.
He gained wider recognition for writing the script, music and lyrics for Hamilton, which has been acclaimed as a pop culture phenomenon since its Broadway premiere in 2015.[5] The show earned the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, and was nominated for a record 16 Tony Awards, of which it won 11, including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book. For portraying the titular role, Miranda was nominated for another Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. The Hamilton cast recording spent ten weeks atop Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart in 2015; Billboard subsequently listed it as the eleventh-biggest album of the 2010s.[6] The Hamilton Mixtape, an album of covers of songs from the musical, developed by and featuring Miranda, reached number one on the Billboard 200.
Miranda's television work includes recurring roles on The Electric Company (2009-2010) and Do No Harm (2013). He hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time in 2016 and earned his first Emmy award nomination for acting. As a collaborator of The Walt Disney Company, Miranda contributed music for a scene in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), wrote music and songs in the animated musical Moana (2016), which gained him nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and the Academy Award for Best Original Song, for the song "How Far I'll Go", and starred as Jack in the musical fantasy Mary Poppins Returns (2018), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
Miranda has been politically active, most notably on behalf of Puerto Rico.[7] He met with politicians in 2016 to speak out in favor of debt relief for Puerto Rico,[7] and raised funds for rescue efforts and disaster relief after Hurricane Maria struck the island in 2017.
Jonathan Drew Groff (born March 26, 1985)[1] is an American actor and singer. A prolific actor on stage, screen, and television, Groff is the recipient of a Grammy Award, and nominations for two Tony Awards.
Groff rose to prominence in 2006 for his performance in the lead role of Melchior Gabor in the original Broadway production of Spring Awakening, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He returned to Broadway in 2015 to play the role of King George III in Hamilton and sang the song "You'll Be Back", a performance for which he earned a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He also appeared on the cast recording, which won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
Groff is also known for his television appearances, such as Ian Todd in the Starz political drama Boss; lead-character Patrick Murray in the HBO comedy-drama series Looking, and its subsequent series finale television film, Looking: The Movie; and the recurring role of Jesse St. James in the Fox musical-comedy series Glee. He voiced the role of Kristoff in Walt Disney Animation Studios' films Frozen and Frozen II; he also voiced Sven in Frozen II.[2] Since 2017, Groff has starred as FBI Special Agent Holden Ford in the Netflix period crime drama Mindhunter.

They are the two nicest guys ever. I got to meet Groff in 2007 during his spring awakening days and he was the absolute kindest person ever. He’d sign and talk to everyone. And I got to meet Lin in 2008 during In the Heights, again a serious sweetheart! I got to tell him how much he inspires me. They both deserve the world!

@@sandeepgupte4380 Yeah! I've been a big Broadway fan since I was a teenager and Spring Awakening and In the Heights were my two favorite shows at the time. Groff was really good at remembering fans names. he was always the last one left signing, hugging and taking pics with everyone. And Lin was an absolute doll and spent time talking with fans like hes known them forever. Chris Jackson was also a darling. I saw Hamilton a couple of weeks after it opened and im so proud they were all in it and its a smash! I hope everyone gets a chance to meet them! :)

For info that Ppl probably find useless, back when the actual Hamilton was alive, guys in general were very close. Like super close! Even if a gay relationship never crossed their minds. Male friends and siblings even slept in the same bed. They had no intention of sexual acts but just were really close. People back then saw that as normal. If only the world could go back to that. Guys kissed each other all the time like they kissed their mother. I see nothing wrong with that, so why should other people???
And women too! There were lots of "special friends" situations, where a husband would sleep on the couch when the wife's female friend came over, so the ladies could share the comfy bed. Everybody wrote everybody flowery letters. This whole panic over closeness of all kinds is recent and super frustrating.
