Very surprised the 850 Frankenstein was the 2nd coolest from the bunch. Such a small body and no overheating sounds like a win.
But that Gen 4 Frankenstein makes me want one. What a beast

The dcf850 feels like a leaf blower is stuck to the back of the motor. It runs very cool I’m impressed.

My DCF850 never gets hot no matter what torture I put it through. Solid tool especially with a 3/8 anvil on it. YOU DON'T NEED A RIGHT ANGLE Impact anymore 😎 It's so tiny 😁🙂

Dave, I think you can call it "done" when the socket touches the wood. It makes it easier on you and your testing is still valid as all (whatever is being tested) follows the same parameters.

The ½" anvil with the ¼" hex hole is really holding back the DCF850 "freak". I'd love to see how the DCF850 performs in this test with a ⅜" square anvil. I put the ⅜" square anvil from the DCF890 impact wrench into my DCF887 driver and it's like a whole new tool. On speed 3 I'm busting nuts all day long especially with the high output batteries using 21700 cells.

Hey, just checked them out. Nice! When I got the DCF850 it was originally for around-the-house type work and school project type stuff for the wife and kids to use, but it was so good as a driver that I decided to do the anvil swap on my old 887 (since it was out of warranty and all) and use the 850 as my daily go-to driver. It's worked out great! It's clear the 850 makes for an amazing ⅜" wrench, but, surprisingly, so does the 887! I rarely have to reach for my bigger mid-torques anymore.
      Btw, what's your Lexus?

Awesome review my awesome brother Dave. You are a genius for showing and designing these tools the way the manufacturers should be making and giving us workers a possibility that theses tool companies will follow up and redesign these tools the way you made them. And if they do I pray that they will pay you big money $$$ my Dave. You would definitely deserve it brother.

That hollow freak anvil is hurting the dcf850 cuz of it flexing. It'll be more powerful with a 1/4"to 1/2" adapter then the anvil

I feel like the m18 stubby isnt so much of a speedy tool but its more of a torquing tool. With the bigger lags it definitely shined more.

  • @louiewiessv5756

M18 stubby favors reverse vs driving and I could be right or wrong impacts and rpm are different on impacts vs drivers.

The combination of the crazy IPMS and an actual anvil for an original driver of the frankenstein jus kicks ass its crazy. The dewalt freak jus seems to not have the balls to overcome the anvil mass with larger stuff. The 1 gun that mite be able to beat it is a flex quick eject frankenstein lol. Also i wonder how the frankenstein would do with a 3/8 anvil instead. The atomic freak with 3/8 did better then 1/2 on TTC
Also i do wonder what the newer makita xwt15z would have done. Thats the 1 original impact wrench that beats the atomic dcf921

@@ManCaverTools I understand.. and I'm very thankful for your work.
For me it's just a very important moment for interpreting the time results comparing how far the lag was screwed in (or not) - after the first attempt and after the second, too.
I don't wanna say that you do this on purpose - just that this moment of the result is too important for the interpretation to cut it out.

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  2 роки тому

@@januszR what I need to get is washers for these, which I will pick them up today. i won't need to stop to see if the head of the lag is going though the wood. The washer will prevent that so I won't need to spot and check anymore. I also need to get low profile 1/2 sockets. im not a fan of the not being able to see the lag like it is now. I got low pro 3/8 sockets so that is good to go. ill fix this issue though. its been going on for way to long and thank you Janusz
