Bali is still a popular location for digital nomads, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is so because of its affordable living cost, friendly digital nomad and local communities, and the available amenities and attractions.

By the way, regarding Mount Batur, majority of people start the hike after midnight indeed. But another very cool option is to go there 2-3 hours before sunset, camp for the night inside the crater and then wake up for the sunset and then go back down. Camping inside the crater is an extraordinary feeling. Just beware of monkeys as they can steal anything that is not hidden or firmly closed. Don’t leave any bottle or other objects that can be grabbed as they will be taken by the monkeys living in the crater.

And again i would like to say thank you for your supports and kindness towards the local. I rarely seen any tourist or community doing this in Bali. Bali is amazing, I just got back from a 2 week holiday.
I have done a lot of travel and seen a lot of wonderful places. I now have 3 acres in Florida that I am transforming into a food forest paradise. I am creating a life I don’t have to escape from. I’m glad I was able to travel a lot in my early adult years, it showed me what I like and what I don’t, I am incorporating that into my new life.
This is literally what I want to do in the future. I feel like I'm my dream. Thanks for everything!

Just got back from Bali, my third time there. I gotta say, Canggu is kinda meh. Its okay for a couple days when you want a western feel, western restaurants, etc. But the traffic is insane, everyone is either a life coach, has lip injections, or a man bun lol. Just feels like a very ego-driven place. The only benefit is if you surf, or if you are a digital nomad wanting to be in the company of other digital entrepreneurs. Otherwise I highly recommend Ubud. Has a more authentic Balinese and local feel. The locals btw are super nice there. Its also one of the most spiritual places I've been to and has amazing options for yoga/meditation. Has plenty of nice cafes/restaurants and there are still other travellers there that you can connect with in a more meaningful way. But you do loose track of time in Ubud, that's for sure!
I did the Mt. Batur hike on my first trip to Bali and loved it!!! Can't believe this is your first time doing it!!!
There's a hidden beach at jalan petangehan , lalang Linggah village , suraberata districk in tabanan regency ...or do some hiking in mount batukaru , You may search it out !

Bali is not just a beach and sea, in Bali there is the best vulcano geopark (UNESCO) is Mount Batur. the best hiking for beginners, as well as sunrises that are no less beautiful than Mount Bromo or Mount Prau on the island of Java
