- Hi, everyone, back on the rats here with the C50 on my Wolverine R 177 12 ftlb. I hadn't shot this farm for 3 months so had a good night keeping down the numbers.

Great video! Thanks for pointing out the fact that rats routinely prey on eggs and hatchlings. That fact gets overlooked probably on purpose. Thanks for sharing.
Ye thanks George they have been a real pain on this farm.
Great shooting, as usual!
Jack looks great! 👍👍
Thanks Tool
1 shot 1 kill, with an occasional backup blast. Love the video Simon. Jack looking stoic as usual!
Thank you Chris.
Blimey, Jack was up for those rats, good lad !!!
Brilliant shooting, as always, thanks for the video Simon 👍🏴
Thank you Phil.
Great to see Jack out again and spotting for you .Great video 👍
Thanks Giles.
I love this channel. Always good to watch a skilled practitioner of any sort, and you are clearly that. Looking forward to more of the same, thanks.
Much appreciated! Simon.
Thanks for the ratting video. It's a change of pace from you and Jack, but very enjoyable. Cheers from Texas, and I'll be waiting for your next video.
Thanks David.
One of the best ratting on UA-cam, no bull, just how it is. Brilliant.
Thank you John and really appreciated pal
Excellent (as always). Excellent shooting, glass work and editing. Thank You for sharing
Thank you Brian.
Good to see Jack's eyesight is as sharp as a pin, nice and clear lmage through the C50 also, i was hoping to start my ratting season tonight as the farmer has asked me to make a start but it's blowing a gale up in N yorks today and my rat perm is exposed, nice video Simon
Ye thanks, rats don't like wind for sure mate
Nice video. It's great to see Jack. He looks good!
Thanks Ric.
Hi mate. What a cracking video. I have to agree with the .177 and the JSB combo. I switched to .22 for a short time for ratting but I'm back to .177 and use the JSB Exact 8.44. Great combo, really good velocity and flat trajectory! 👍
Enjoyed the shoot. 👍
Ye pal i do a lot of target shooting with air rifles and all the target boys use 177 in 12ftlb, don't get me wrong .22 is brilliant but for me in 12ftlb its 177.
Agree for ratting, especially. More than enough power for rats and you can thread it through the wire, weeds, and other obstacles. You might need heavier pellets in wind or for larger game further out. But that’s a totally different situation.
Great video and excellent kit. Love the white illuminated cross hairs.
Thanks Dave ye i too like it pal
Again, thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Love the bird at the end: "Hey, man what you got th... oh, never mind."
Lol cheers mate.
Hi Simon, excellent marksmanship and commentary, it’s nice to hear about hold over on scoping 👍🤠

Good marksmanship! Read somewhere that chickens can kill and eat mice, but usually, the chickens are sleeping when the mice are active.

Those that are left will eat well tonight !
100% mate
Hey 👋 Simon, don't know why I didn't get a notification on this video but I did just watch it and awesome shots as always my friend!!! Good to see Mr. Jack and could ya give him a good ole ear scratchin for me, he'll know it came from his buddy Jay, Lol 😆 😉 Take Care and God Bless my brother!!!
Thanks Jay, i think UA-cam misbehaves at times because some of my videos at times get viewed silly yet others hardly any lol.
@@simon6ppc246 I agree. They mess with me quite frequently, they don't like what I have to say about p0LiTIcS so I get 👤b*NNeD alot!!! Lol
Hi Simon. Love it.....Great shooting. Rats are so disgusting.
Cheers John.
Hi Simon.
Thankyou for your footage once again.
A man of many talents! I'm more used to seeing you blow Crows and Magpies away at three million miles, across a valley, lol. This was a welcome change, a break from the norm, as they say.
Although nowhere near as skilled,
or knowledgeable as you are, I agree with you, on .177 pellets. I've just never fancied .22 calibre pellets. I always presumed their trajectory would be alot more significant. When I saw a .177 pellet hit a board, and the force the pellet hit the board with at thirty yards, I saw no need in my shooting, for a .22 calibre pellet.
Best wishes Simon, my friend.
Take care, Ian.
Thanks Ian ye in 12 ftlb for me its 177 not saying .22 is rubbish mind ya.
@@simon6ppc246 Hi Simon, thankyou for your reply.
Yes, I wasn't calling the .22 pellet. I think most folk would opt for the larger pellet. It makes sense. For me personally, not at the expense of trajectory that goes with it. I much prefer the flatter flight of the .177 pellet.
Terry Doe, a writer for one of the airgun magazines and very experienced air gunner now uses .177 pellets.
Best wishes Simon.
Great shooting as always, also you have a great spotter with Jack. When I was little my mother would have me to put a white doorknob in the nest of our laying hens, to protect the eggs from two things, snakes 🐍 and rats 🐀. Before any one asks the door knob is porcelain children snakes will swallow it but can't digest it and the rats can't hurt it. Stay safe 🙏 Brother, Jack keep
the Boss safe!
Thanks Donald ye good idea mate.
Quality sir 👍
Cheers Ian.
Great job!
Cheers Billy.
Spot on video, just can't beat shooting rats, they are so brazen, they just keep coming. Simon , mate, you need a few more spare mags. Brilliant.
Your right i do Geoff, i actually have 5 mags for my HW 100 but only one for the Wolverine lol.
Nice shooting. New to your channel but have subscribed for future videos. 👍
Thanks Gav and welcome my friend.
Great video mate
Thanks again Scott.
Really good shooting again .
Cheers Ian.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks mate.
Great video Simon you certainly have got your hands full thinning those little buggers out. I'm sure you will be back on them again soon. oh and I love the outtake at the start 😄 gotta love Jack he maybe getting on but nothing wrong with his eyesight mate. Take care
Lol thanks Jim, ye Jack with age is getting hard to manage lol.
@@simon6ppc246 bless him but still a faithful friend though Simon
@@simon6ppc246 Hi Simon did you send me this other reply regarding a competition winner? Have a look at the other comment below as I don't understand it. Cheers mate
@@jimwood Hyia mate looks like some low life scum bag has hacked me or something ignore it pal will see what i can do.
Strong shooting as always!
Thanks Rob.
That is some great shooting using trigger sticks. I set my zero to 40 yards using .177 sub 12ftlbs using 10.34 grain pellets.
Nice one Keith ye i zero at 25 yards and just hold under or over 👍
Well done some nice shooting
Cheers Mark
