Dude, I’ve hired a lawyer to get out of a gym membership before and they refused her initial cancellation notice. She had to send a deposition letter for a lawsuit with the cancellation form through a Server. Literally had a picture of the the gym owner getting served my cancellation 🤣

Fun fact, in 1974 in SF I saw Robin Williams do stand up comedy. I was 14. I've never forgotten. Also, me and my daughter in the 90’s, saw him in a coffee shop on Haight in SF. He came in with his young son and both were in camoflauge 🤣. It was like they wanted to be invisible. Most of us just looked in awe. They got something and left. Cool memories. I still can't watch his movies since his death.

When my brother was in high school (Late 00’s), he ONLY wore solid color tshirts, plain blue jeans with no extra pockets or rips or tears, and regular sneakers with no obvious brand markings, etc. I remember when my mom finally asked him why, bc it was the literal opposite of what was trendy, he said “I’m not going to advertise for a brand unless they pay me. Besides, if I dress as plain as possible, I’m the only ACTUALLY unique dresser. People can’t guess what I like, or watch, or listen to, they have no way to make a snap judgement.” That shit stuck with me.

You'll maybe see an LL Bean or something incredibly small. Very few are walking around in full branded Gucci or LV fits. When you actually have it, advertisement becomes more a liability than anything. That's why you'll rarely (if ever) see someone on that level wearing obvious branded anything.

When I worked in banking, some of my coworkers had stories from their previous departments about customers trying to stop gym payments and even after cancelling and getting new cards, those gyms would somehow find their new card numbers and resume charging them. Seeing it from that angle definitely reinforced my avoidance of gym memberships.

I had an ex that was 6 ft 3 & it was kind of unsatisfying to make out unless we were sitting or laying down. My neck would either be really uncomfortable & you couldn't hit the right spots when you press together. Like I said just unsatisfying imo. I don't really want anyone more than about 5 inches taller than me & I'm 5 ft 4. 5 inches taller is the max not the ideal for me though. Within 2-3 inches plus or minus is the ideal. I absolutely refuse to date a short guy who is angry about his height though cuz eventually he WILL make that my problem somehow & that's a nope from me.
I feel this is more the case for women who are not tall, if you're well over average height it's more difficult than if the guy is only 2-5 inches shorter than you are.
I have been very ill and o have a wheelchair bound child I have no help with. When things get overwhelming I watch Josh and just laugh like a maniac. Ty for helping me cope

This is so near true. Tried canceling, had to write letter to corp, gym closed down. Was told to visit other gym and cancel there. Then had to involve bank to void past and pending fees…all the while NEVER using the facilities. I didn’t get the contract I was told was emailed. Yep, this happened via LA Fitness.

I like the idea of a short king season! It would be nice if they had some people on who weren't conventionally attractive. Even if just someone who had a zit one time or who hasn't been able to get veneers. They're not really putting the premise to the test when everyone is gorgeous. I want to see the season with some fat people, some nerdy-looking folks, etc. I think that would be a lot more interesting.

I feel this is more the case for women who are not tall, if you're well over average height it's more difficult than if the guy is only 2-5 inches shorter than you are.

my husband experienced this during covid when the gym was shut down. no one could argue they earned money with the whole chain of gyms was closed.

This is so near true. Tried canceling, had to write letter to corp, gym closed down. Was told to visit other gym and cancel there. Then had to involve bank to void past and pending fees…all the while NEVER using the facilities. I didn’t get the contract I was told was emailed. Yep, this happened via LA Fitness.
Ive been trying to cancel. Called a few times. Was told i need to go in person and see a manager. Is it true that there is an online form you need to mail in to cancel ??? This is insane . I havnt even been there in 2 years just paying every month for nothing

I like the idea of a short king season! It would be nice if they had some people on who weren't conventionally attractive. Even if just someone who had a zit one time or who hasn't been able to get veneers. They're not really putting the premise to the test when everyone is gorgeous. I want to see the season with some fat people, some nerdy-looking folks, etc. I think that would be a lot more interesting.

@@ashcraft555 It was on Brazil. I think season 1. There was a plus size girl who matched with a boxer. He saw her, damn near hyperventilated, and dropped her the same day. I felt so bad for her. Another guy dropped his girl later in the season for the same reason
I imagine they're AI now, but I used to work as a "bot" woman for dating sites. I was broke as hell and desperately needed the money but still ended up quitting because men would believe anything and it was so incredibly sad.
