I kickstarted this! This is one of the best kickstarters I have backed in terms of communication and updates. It's late. Stuff happened. BUT, every step of the way they have been 100% honest and have kept their backers updated. I'm even more excited after Tom's review!! Can't wait!!
I managed to get a table at SHUX 2018 with Justin Faulker and played a few games with him and other convention members. The game plays so well and Justin was a joy to talk to and hang out with.

I play tested this game a few years ago and really liked how it played. The solo puzzle mode is really good as well. This is one I will probably toss the cardboard chits and bling out a bit. Originally there was a sabotage mechanism that added some light take-that I would love to see that corporate espionage as part of an expansion someday
Just ordered a copy of this game. Really looking forward to bringing it to the table. Looks like a lot of fun. I really enjoy engine builders where you get to do your own thing in the game, especially if everyone gets to "do their thing" at the same time.
I got the chance to play FF with joseph and justin like 3 years ago. Way back then, there were far more options to effect other players. But those cards (card types?), and several of the advanced factories were pulled out to keep the core game accessible and focused. Joseph has said the antagonistic cards and more complex strategy factories will possibly come out in later expansions.
Played this game at PAX South back in 2017 and fell in love with it and backed the kickstarter. It's been a long time coming but they have been very open with the process every step of the way and put in a ton of effort to make sure the quality was top notch even if that meant some delays. Can't wait to finally get my copy! P.S. I'd still gladly pay for an expansion/add on that included single player puzzles like the ones they used to demo the game with.
The only thing I'm a little disapointed with is the energy/metal tokens and associated artwork. I'm excited about gameplay and looking forward to getting my copy, but it I'm already thinking of what I can replaces those lack-luster tokens with.
I wonder if this one could be compared to the "Favor of the Pharaoh". In a certain way they look similar (experience) and I tend to think that Favor of the Pharaoh is more strategic (better?) than Fantastic Factories.

I built the PNP. The solo mode is really good, and easy to run.
I backed it. In fact got shipping notice a few minutes before this was posted. Glad it was well received by the dice tower.

I played this today and I was new to the game group and won. I played honest but I hope they didn't think I cheated.

The engineer...pretty awesome... the picture on the card looks like a minifig, is that an Emmet from the LEGO Movie reference?
