I am one of the people that was grateful for a 7 inch DC figures, it was something what kept me from getting Mattel figures. I collect 1/10 almost exclusively , I started with Neca and then Marvel Select, Storm , Diamond select, so I got a great entry point into this McFarlane line of DC figures-

My sentiments exactly. Learned alot about the figure & statue biz (that I'm just getting into in 2023). Note, am an old comics collector from the 70s that paid in full, my Soph & Junior college years tuition in early 80s by selling off my kindergarten to high-school comic collection, which was great. Am not back into the paper comics hobby but do like the (new to me) statue & action figure comic characters & bought a few Marvel Kotobukiya (Hulks) at a going out of business local sale 7-8 yrs ago but last year, I've just started to collect a few figures & statues. I say all that to say, I am blown away re: general industry painting methods!!! Had no idea. Good stuff boys; have subscribed.

Any way thanks guys for the interview, obviously it has to be professional and cordial so you did great. I do hope if you have the chance again you could at least relay the frustrations more if it’s not appropriate to press a question. Would’ve been cool to bring up the recent Azbats platinum version fail specifically - and not a generalized question about platinum. While Todd will never say the company made a mistake, I do think he’s receptive to all information.

I’m grateful you guys did this interview, but in my humble opinion you should’ve pressed harder - even though you asked some fantastic relevant questions, Todd didn’t really answer them straight, as he’s the master of talking a lot and saying very little.
I've learned over the interviews I've seen other folks do with Todd that it doesn't get the interviewer very far. He just gets mildly annoyed. That wasn't really our desire because he was gracious enough to make time for us.
These guys aren't investigative reporters. They're toy collectors. I don't understand why ya'll want to see UA-camrs bark at people. These guys just opened the door to more interviews like this one. It's important to be respectful and not end something before it started.
Probably one of the best interviews that Todd have given or been part off. But is obvious that having the right people on the forum goes a long way. Brad, Asoka and Rob you guys did a terrific job specially asking the right question the right way. Not combatant like most. Congratulations, great job and thank you.

Shipping is a bit expensive for my blood, but I'd just have to cut down on my orders.The physical stores near me rarely get anything, so maybe it would be better? There would have to be some kind of quantity limit in place for the more popular characters though, scalpers shouldn't be able to buy 10 at once.
I really love to hear him talk about his stuff. It really feels like he cares about his stuff. I really hope we get more teen titans figures. We must get a Starfire figure. I love all the new comic figures that we have gotten this far. I do gave hopes we get a better Supergirl.
First of all I love your channel. your reviews are best when you're having fun. I always wait to watch your DC reviews first and ToyShiz for all other reviews. I was incredibly disapointed at your hate against fans who are critical of Mcfarlane's figures. It seems kind of condescending to call fans who are critical of his figures as "entitled". At the end of the day people who buy his stuff are more than just "fans" they are customers. I love your reviews. I just wish this interview was less fanboy and more asking some tougher questions. You can ask hard questions without being controversial or pushy. DC fans are extremly passionate people.We have had figures that were compromised in some way or another in the past feom other conpanies. As customers we want our voices heard. He was kind of daring his customers to vote with our money by not buying his figures. That would not be any fun. I hope that Todd will listen to his cusomers and not rely only on numbers so much.
This was a great interview, but there was one question that was missing, Im from mexico and the DC multiverse Cost 50 to 70 USD DLR and im really worried why they are so expensive and also theres so little stock, like i know that maybe i will never get a Wonder Woman Collectors edition or a Black cat from dark knight rises platinum, and yeah there the option to buy directly from the Mcfarlane toy Store but the Stock never last, i really wanted the new digital DC multiverse and the Plastic man build a figure but i dont think i will never gettit in mexico, i really wanna collect all of them but is very hard

With the female figures I think it’s different for different ip. I know the female wrestling figures sell out in stores like the males do and both are in the boys toy aisle.
Since I am the ' real' Todd and have my authenticity from heritage auction house, where I am graded at a 9.2+ very fartworthy condition. My favorite things besides the spawn movie and movie maniac pumpkin head, has been the Warhammer series. Especially when Todd announced he had the dc rights, I was first iron in line to pre-order the hellbat, knowing that even with the weird proportions on several of the releases that there would be some jewels 💎 and now I am proud as hell that there are collectors valuing mcfarlane figures on the secondary market. ❤
You may dislike his art or toys but you cannot deny that Todd is a true comics fan and a great business man. You guys really made the best of his time in this interview, congrats!
I know a lot of people were whinning when they first saw the DC Multiverse line was 7" line but in reality, most of the adult collector figures are in 7" scale. 6" scale is pretty much a minority in Hasbro world.
I do not agree with Todd on the issue of platinum, one pays to receive the same product that appears in the photo, it is very frustrating when the product arrives and is something different. At least for me, it makes me not want to buy digitally, since I don't know what I'm going to receive if that figure has a variant
Todd I don't think, I know you're doing a wonderful job on these DC MULTIVERSE action figures. Love the details that you put in the bodies. The face sculpts. I like the 7 inch scale figures. Enjoy the articulations. I always like coming up with ideas about other DC MULTIVERSE action figures that I would like to see you make. Hopefully sometime in the future I'll see them. Like for instance, Grail the daughter of Darkseid. Soranik Natu the daughter of Sinestro of the Sinestro Corps. Arkillo and Scarecrow of the Sinestro Corps. Superman possessed by Parallax of the Sinestro Corps in yellow and black. Hopefully the Cheetah and maybe Giganta. The 1978 version of the Toyman from the Challenge of the Super Friends. Vandal Savage. I like mostly the bad guys than the the good guys. Lol. I enjoy listening in on the interview. I just brought the new Owlman. I have Ultraman. I also have Deathstorm. But he is of the Black Lantern Corps. But all the years and I still having a hard time trying to find Superwoman. I'll just have to order it off of Amazon. Trying to find Power Ring too. I have Nekron but I don't have Mongul and Anti-Monitor. So hopefully I'll find those too. I can't wait to see just how that Mega Fig Darkseid will look. And I really can't wait for Cyborg Superman. Because the one I saw the videos, hopefully that'll be the version. But I'll settle for any Cyborg Superman. Lol. But anyway I hope to see those action figures soon. But no matter what, way the go Todd. Keep up the good work.👍
Just to add to the 7in scale topic, McFarlane def made the right choice moving forward w/ 7in. 7in is the sweet spot. His molds and detailing r lovely (for the most part), articulation can be so-so at times, but a lil extra paint and some customizing/kit bashing/Dremeling can really go along way. With a larger fig u can add more details, even if it's only an inch, it makes a difference To me, legends 6in is more of toy-toy, 7in, McFarlane, Neca, s7, DS are closer to works of art, but that's just my opinion Any larger wud be too much and take up too much space, vehicles wud be much more costly too, i.e. hot toys but the smaller u get the less detailed it becomes, obviously Also Hasbro 6in- legends, black series, plasma series, classified, Indiana Jones, ect. The scales r all over the place, when u try to combine them into one display area. Hardly any of it fits right together, so what's the point of trying to make DC fit as well Most of the 7in stuff is usually more consistent in proper size, in my experience/opinion * He absolutely fowled up on that knightsend gold label release, I hope he takes that into consideration. That "butthurt" Alot of us, but I have to believe/hope there will be another blue and gold release down the road at some point. Regardless I appreciate yal bringing that up. Brad putting them on camera was great! Put a smile on my face. Fairly new to the channel but always enjoy the videos Great interview all around

With regards to the fem characters, I'm with Todd. If I'm part of the higher percentage of action figure collectors, there are like 3 or 4 fem figs on my shelf compared to the 60 or 70 male figures on my shelf.
I think there are just fewer good female characters. Wonder Woman and Batgirl are good or Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Really wish he had the marvel license then he could do Storm or Lady Deathstrike

I think McFarlane toys are becoming sloppy the repaints, pointless black light series and the Hush batman mould that's been used countless times is now beyond accessive it's just a money grab, as well as the price asking £30 for a figure with no alternative hands, heads portraits etc is beyond a joke in this day and age, not to mention cq issues the same with a Hasbro marvel legends reused body moulds ATM Jada toys are blowing all these figure lines out of the water especially the street fighter series crazy posabilities, two head sculpts, two sets of hands power move effect's and £25 pricing come on McFarlane pull your finger out, one other thing I live in the UK and you DC multiverse line are none existent the wonder woman is like gold dust over here.

you know robdtoys is a nerd first and interviewer second when he calls a Mcfarlane figure perfect but points out the personal problem he has with it, to Todds FACE. 😂 Its like all collectors are on the spectrum 🤣 I was hoping ONE of you would press him and ask "SO youre saying you have data showing a Batgirl DC SuperPowers figure wont sell, and that Target will want to put it with the barbies? 🤨 Also you gave a whole story about why you made Animal Man and how obscure characters sell and do well on Amazon, but you wont do that for DCS Catwoman? 🤨🤨 He kept contradicting himself and gave openings to question new answers with previous answers🤦♂ BUT then I remember none of these three have any actual skills as reporters. 🤷♂

I think McFarlane toys are becoming sloppy the repaints, pointless black light series and the Hush batman mould that's been used countless times is now beyond accessive it's just a money grab, as well as the price asking £30 for a figure with no alternative hands, heads portraits etc is beyond a joke in this day and age, not to mention cq issues the same with a Hasbro marvel legends reused body moulds ATM Jada toys are blowing all these figure lines out of the water especially the street fighter series crazy posabilities, two head sculpts, two sets of hands power move effect's and £25 pricing come on McFarlane pull your finger out, one other thing I live in the UK and you DC multiverse line are none existent the wonder woman is like gold dust over here.

Yeah, just look at wrestling figures. Loads of female wrestlers and those fly off the shelves, at least in my area.

I was hoping ONE of you would press him and ask "SO youre saying you have data showing a Batgirl DC SuperPowers figure wont sell, and that Target will want to put it with the barbies? 🤨 Also you gave a whole story about why you made Animal Man and how obscure characters sell and do well on Amazon, but you wont do that for DCS Catwoman? 🤨🤨 He kept contradicting himself and gave openings to question new answers with previous answers🤦♂ BUT then I remember none of these three have any actual skills as reporters. 🤷♂
