It's only been 7 hours since this episode was transmitted on BBC1 and I've already lost track of the number of times I've replayed Jodie Whittaker saying "oh brilliant". That'll probably be the next "fantastic". After all "lots of planets have a north"
Thirteen: *touches one button and the TARDIS explodes* Me: You're perfect and I love you (As always, your clean and beautiful work really enhances the scene! Thank you!)
I prefer this version but i'm not saying that the actual one was bad. I mean there are moments where the music is necessary i.e Peter Capaldi's exit sscene but this extract reminds me of classic who where they barely used any background music.
I'd rather this scene be musicless instead of shoehorning Roses theme song when it isn't needed. Rose's theme song distracted me from Jodie's moment simply because it reminded me of the RTD era. RTD was a fantastic showrunner however, I'd prefer if this introductory scene gave me something brand new and something out there that I haven't heard in Doctor Who before. Jodie is a sensational actress and Chibnall is well....another RTD in my opinion. Having said that, the episode was fantastic and since Murray Gold is presumably leaving, I guess he just wanted to use his favorite soundtrack on his last episode so I am willing to let him off. On a different note, I hope series 11 provides something different from RTD and Moffat in terms of storytelling but I don't know if the majority of DW fans want that, since a bunch of them complained about the doctor changing his gender and that specific change becoming the death of the show. The fact that fans are willing to step down as being a regular doctor who viewer due to the change in gender, ultimately leaves you feeling hollow.
Me again.... I watched the animated version of the episode The Power of the Daleks, Patrick Troughton's debut as 2 last year prior to The Return of Doctor Mysterio in 2016. Soon after ( the Original, Hartnell ) 1 became 2, his Signet ring was the first to go. This is an ode to that moment 51 years later. A brilliant introduction.....and a massive Reset. Leave it to Chris Chibnall to wipe the slate clean...and ushering in a new beginning. I can't wait for Season 11 to start in late August. See you around.
Not sure if anyone noticed (probably not), but the CGI Police Box at 1:07 and 1:37 looks different than the actual prop. The roof is shorter, the "Police Public Call Box" sign is bigger, etc. Reminds me of how, in the episode, The First Doctor's TARDIS looks different when it's not in flight as opposed to when it's in the vortex.
The fans don't hate a female doctor. They hate a sexist female actor, idiots that believe you're "X if you don't support Y and are tired of the PC police.", and BBC's policies of diversity that include firing a white guy for being white. (Which is literally racist but no one cares because white dude.) Otherwise, them and myself included could care less if the Doctor was a three-toed sloth. The problem is with the politics and the brow-beating. (One example: The Gallifreyan generals comments after his regeneration into a black lady. Or some of River Song's comments to Twelve.) Capaldi didn't give up being the Doctor, he let the Doctor go and left. You just can only say so much public without getting flack for it. Like it or not that is today's PC culture..if you don't agree, you're the enemy. Forget asking questions, just rally the mob and go after the next one but don't actually change anything..just make it worse and replace stupid, cruel people with a whole bunch of other stupid, cruel people. (Zygon Inversion). Or, in case you've forgotten..everything is racist, sexist, whatever. Their words, not mine.
I don't know if this would fall on deaf ears but. I wondered if TheUnknownTechician or someone who can, would try or attempt a Speech Extract that I think both myself and many would love to hear. From the Superman 1978 film, the "You are here for a reason" speech Glen Ford's Johnathan Kent was giving to "teen" Clark Kent.
When I was 16 in 1988 I removed many voices from music and backing tracks and vice versa took out music leaving the voices. Long before internet or computers. My tool? A simple AKAI 5.1 surround VHS video recorder with center adjust knob. More effective than anything I have heard since.
The Unknown Technician, can you please do a speech extract of when Nardole comes back and then The Doctor talks to Bill and Nardole and they hug? Thank You. 😀👍🏻
Can you extract the imperial march from the imperial fleet scene in episode 5 please. Thank you. The soundtrack used in the film was an unreleased soundtrack.
It’s a double band ring the first band is a gold one (his actual ring) and the second is the same but has a duel that’s the one that dropped if you look closely
Thank you for this speech extract, I was just wondering what program do you use? I really need the speech extract of Clara in Deep Breath when she says 'If The Doctor is still The Doctor he will have my back...'. Thank you so much! :)
Could you 'please, PLEASE' do the Shepherd's boy Speech Extract? I've been trying to find it for ages! And you're the only AMAZING person who can actually extract the speech. So, could you do the speech extraction for Shepherd's Boy?!
Awesome work. Could you extract the speech about "the Doctor of War" from the beginning of that episode? It's kind of hard to understand all the names since the music is far too loud.
She's in the first twelve hours of her regeneration. Ten had enough energy to regrow his hand and that was well near the end of the twelve hour-window. That or the TARDIS threw her out over something "safe".
That's not a wedding ring. Wedding rings are usually just plain gold whereas that clearly has a gemstone of some kind on it. It's probably the ring Peter Capaldi wore over his own wedding ring while playing the Doctor.
Alex Jones While I agree that it is not a wedding ring (since it fell from the index finger,) that is her left hand. You can tell when the ring falls because it lands next to her left foot.
Alex Jones, it's his left hand. Always has been. Just the shot of it falling of her hand has been shot the other way, making it look like the right hand. And that is actually Peter Capaldi's wedding ring. They added and extra ring over it to make it look more 'alien'.
Who else prefers this version (without the music)? I think it's much more impactful and effective.
Yes
When the ring falls of, gives me shivers everywhere

I’ve been doing the same, cuz I want to see more, but this is all we get for now, just have to wait for fall next year
Of all the buttons to press.
Funny

That first minute or so is perfect with no music. Builds up tension superbly.
I prefer this version but i'm not saying that the actual one was bad. I mean there are moments where the music is necessary i.e Peter Capaldi's exit sscene but this extract reminds me of classic who where they barely used any background music.
Yeah, I really didn't think Murray Gold's rendition of that theme from Rose was the best choice to introduce a brand new doctor.

That is NOT Rose's theme. That is the Doctor's theme.
Taylor Fish Specifically the vocal only version is 9s theme
Codo8 my bad.

The sound the Tardis makes when it is wobbling around is me 24/7
I feel the whole episodr was making fun of fans hating a female doctor. the sexist jokes, and the tardis at the end goin berzerk
the sexist jokes where a knock bck to the first doctor they were actual quotes from the original seris

Jennifer Dobbie No they weren’t...
You're probably getting this question daily, but how do you get such a clean extract ?
The centre channel from a 5.1 copy of Doctor Who generally has just speech/sound effects with little music.
Magic, duh
I just realized: do you think people would notice a bunch of books and papers just randomly falling from the sky?
I don't know if this would fall on deaf ears but. I wondered if TheUnknownTechician or someone who can, would try or attempt a Speech Extract that I think both myself and many would love to hear. Could you start doing that again, and upload? I've a need for the cleanest possible extract of the Heaven Sent soundtrack.
What's the music called where she presses the button up to where the episode ends?
"A Pressing Need to Save the World," it's from Series 4
Can you do a speech extract for 12’s bootstrap paradox speech from Before the Flood please?
The Unknown Technician, can you please do a speech extract of when Nardole comes back and then The Doctor talks to Bill and Nardole and they hug? Thank You. 😀👍🏻
Theunknowntechnician can you do a score version of this video
Can you extract the imperial march from the imperial fleet scene in episode 5 please. Thank you. The soundtrack used in the film was an unreleased soundtrack.
That Ring She Dropped, I Believe That Was Capaldi's Actual Wedding Ring, Right?
yes and no, part of the ring the 12th doctor wore was made by the bbc, the top half, that's the part that dropped
It’s a double band ring the first band is a gold one (his actual ring) and the second is the same but has a duel that’s the one that dropped if you look closely
PikaPlayzHD Ah Okay, Thanks For Clearing that For Me.
The Immortal Smiler that was the top of it, the custom part, he must of took it of before the scene so its bit two pieces falling of
I wonder if you can do more speech extracts from 13s final scene.
Thank you for this speech extract, I was just wondering what program do you use? I really need the speech extract of Clara in Deep Breath when she says 'If The Doctor is still The Doctor he will have my back...'. Thank you so much! :)
Hope you extract time Lord victrious speech ❤❤

Had been a woman for 5 seconds and already crashed the TARDIS... Women drivers am I right?
Please do a tutorial on this
Dope
Can you do 11th doctors speech extract when he defeats the silence in day of the moon?
Well she's still not ginger
There’s a ‘women can’t drive’ joke coming I can feel it
What if she friggin died? (I know she won't but people would be PISSED)
Like she just hit the ground and regenerated again
That would be hilarious
She's in the first twelve hours of her regeneration. Ten had enough energy to regrow his hand and that was well near the end of the twelve hour-window.
That or the TARDIS threw her out over something "safe".
1:24 did she flush a toilet???
Tardis: B E G O N E T H O T
How’d you get this this fast?
M a g i c
I don't like her. She lost her wedding ring. River would kill her 😂
That's not a wedding ring. Wedding rings are usually just plain gold whereas that clearly has a gemstone of some kind on it. It's probably the ring Peter Capaldi wore over his own wedding ring while playing the Doctor.
Keya I would laugh if
It survived the explosion
That ring was on his right hand. It's not a wedding ring.
Alex Jones While I agree that it is not a wedding ring (since it fell from the index finger,) that is her left hand. You can tell when the ring falls because it lands next to her left foot.

first thing she does. crashes the tardis...........tipicol woman
