Last 10 years Rajasthan had floods five or six times. If only man made lakes and ponds or at least one foot deep trenches all over the farmland were made every rain would have happily filled them several times Thus the earth would have percolated millions of liters of rain water and would have kept the soil moist and the ground water level up and every well in the area would have been replenished That could sustain water availability for next two or three years easily
When I was a kid , rajendar singh was a chapter in my social book . Water man of India ..... We are still suffering with water crisis .....govt should focus on this . We don't want expressway we don't want pli schemes . We need basicks . We are agricultural economy, we must development infrastructure to this sector first .
This presents so clearly and interestingly, positive action in response to Rajendra Singh's call for global water-literacy. The involvement of the community in decision-making is especially impressive.
Deeply moving film ,,after 1and 1/2year dought here in Spain,,living on a dry finca ,, where I collect all my water ,, Its hard to explain how precious water is ,, And I hope the work you do can spread to Spain .because as you say ,water literacy is the way to a good future .God🌻🐘🌻🙏Bless you and your work ,,🌾🌿☘🍀🦋🐛🐠🐟🦆🕊🦆
Wish I could be assured that this program was better conceived. Frequent, small rainwater harvesting structures are better than very large, centralized ones.
This type of Johads need to be built in villages all over India if the country is to survive the population of 1.4 billion and growing. Glad to see that there are some enlightened people who can educate the uneducated masses.
How can a country that spends so much money on aero space, munitions and so much more, ignores its poorest people and their hardships. Water should be a priority for all citizens, not a luxury for the few. It is a disgrace that India is financially supported by so many countries and the question where did all the money go.
One gets an impression that in this documentary, the word "Johad" has been used to denote a dam. In Hindi and its dialects, Johad means a pond and not a dam. Even if there is no dam and the water is collected in a pond, it would still be called a Johad.

Did you studied in Maharashtra board. Because I just gave my 10th boards and there was a chapter in political science which gave information about him

There are plenty of resources online to do this. Maybe you're meant to bring this change to Spain yourself.
As they already have water, planting trees would be the logical continuation.
Fantastic film, wonderful picture of their work.
A very helpful video and a great team work to conservation of water resource❤
Awww im so glad it was a good rains that came and filled the johad up they all looked very happy about it.
Very emotional story and effective work. Your affirmative action’s changed the natural landscape of this village.

And what about land Mafia?
In my city there were many large ponds and all were filled up and high raises buildings are being made over that.
Thanks for creating and sharing this video. Really nice to see how these Johads are build in practise and to see the organisational process around it.
Amazing film. Thank you so much for inspiring us all as well to be more mindful about our water usage.
Informative, intresting film and soothing music.
I love it. Great presentation.

fantastic
What is the rationale of the distracting disturbing music in the back ground? So annoying. I like this type of nature videos, but had to discontinue.
Sir please plant trees
Good
❤❤❤❤😍😍👏👏❤
👍👍
♥️
When it's said the monsoon "failed", does that mean rain was less than it habitually is? Or none at all?
Less than needed
True
200 mm of rain =200 liters of water/every m2. Not enough?!
Rajasthan water level is very low
After here mam send link in history group
1:05 fishing!!!! Seriously???
