A very useful video on water/soils management. Thank you India for leading the way and for sharing the experience and the know-how with us. From Cambodia with gratitude.
A truly beautiful & elegant soloution to soil & land regeneration. I love the simple concept & tools, but the neat craft & precision in the application, the type of stones chosen & their exact placment (reminicent of dry stone walling). A great example of working with nature.
This video is so thorough and informative! I'm inspired to start my check dam immediately and video my efforts! I'm so grateful for this series of water catchment videos. The world desperately needs these practices to revolutionise water harvesting, subterranean water, erosion control, over-reliance on groundwater, and natural farming. Congratulations from Australia!
Thank you for the upload. I've learned a lot. The whole construction is one with the environment. For as I'm a student landscape designer, I'm impressed. Well done. Greetings from Belgium.
Parsley has vitamin A better parsley than gm rice.drip irrigation like one in baydha it can be used to tap so you can use hose to filter water then tap as going along so saving water for washing hands.catch it in water tanks along way like in Namibia. Like a plane if it goes downhill then up agai. You can make it lose speed therefore slow it down.and plants that clean water and catch flies?them pumps that pump water uphill.sell them my avocado's to grow there. Nice Team work😊😁❤️
It starts with idealism and ends into ideology ; meaning starting with local people's sweat and manipulated consent leading finally to water ressource management privatization by financial groups... via corrupt politicians. Before : water is free gift of nature -- After : water is sold by corporates
i was thinking you can put a 14 foot well before and after that wall ylu built for ultimate water catchment and extreme slowing of the water starting at the very top. as the water goes down it is collected in all the wells before it hit a man made 14 foot deep lake. That Way every drop counts and it collected. I hope somebody tryes my idea
If Check dam was in the title of the video it would be a lot easier to find! I'll just mention Check dam again so youtube associates the keyword with the video for searches on DIY loose rock check dams. Check dams rule!
Find a group here called ECOSIA. They reforesting so many countries globally. But largest work is done in Africa. The Ethiopia now is sooooo GREEN! Amazing! I think they mention the fruit trees that they are growing in Africa....I watched all 21 episodes - the updates on all their reforestation projects..:-) Hope that helps!
Address two things turbines water turbines for energy and wind sunami or huricanes turbines china developed to make 25 years of energy you just need battery banks battery storage look at Tesla power packs
This is by far the best youtube video on how to build a check dam. I loved the thorough instructions, to do it yourself, low tech and cheap.

This is the future if we want to have a nice one or have one at all. Community involved. Local materials. Very cheap. Very profitable.
Very impressive, hard work but with a lasting benefit. A great teaching tool.

This video was a pleasure to watch. Thank you for your hard work helping to build these check dams
Brilliant, local, low cost, low tech and effective..... no need for high cost corporate interference which would end up selling your water back to you
PREAAAAAACHHHHH BRO!
Well said ☝🏼
Very informative video.... Thank you very much 👍
Great work sir
I am also RES engineer and this very very helpful video for me
Waah bhai...
Simple and practical solutions for water harvesting in tural areas.very impressive
This is soooo awesome!!! Thank you..
Very good and details information thanks

May 2007, the land looks ugly but by August the transformation is just amazing.
An example of an excellent NREGA project.
I really enjoyed your video clip.Dance you giving your knowledge to the people once again thanks a lot
Very pleased with this explanation, good work.
Sehr gut erklärt und ausgeführt,!! Danke!
Very nice job. Now in 2020 how are these boulders and the life around ?
High quality, very informative. Thank you!
I find this act as the project that saves the world.
Those people do need biochar and cisters technology :/
Ancient Egyptians were well aware of water problem in the desert!
from what I have seen so far, this seems the most "scientific" dam. In the end of the video, things are very clear. Thanks.
Very informative Thanks a lot!
Good detailed information! Very useful!!
Check dam . Just for the algorithm
Very nice and educative
Nicely put together.
Thank you for
articulate instruction.
If we Loose Sight of future water problem today then obviously we will loose tomorrow. Need of the hour

excellent video.
plant more trees as prashanth m.c said.
Sticks and stones won't hert my bones, mathematical geniuses!
Thanks for the knowledge!
Great info !👌👌👏👏
I actually learned a lot
good video Mgnrega
my job bft in bagalkoti
Excellent info.
good vdo
Why so less trees? Trees themselves can check water current and flow-rate by 60%.
That is Phase 2.
Really inspire me

Very useful for me.
Water is life
Great job
Good job!
well done :)
So much effort! Looks realy nice but most people just say "lets put some rocks here.
They are teaching engineering to local people. Some child will grow up to be a great mathematician or physicist.
Not really
Takes maybe an hour
Saves effort because people know exactly where to carry rocks

Great wotk
I'm happy India is not China. Treasure your environment.
Love this
Does anyone know of any videos with different types of fruit trees that grow in Africa?
