- This week it's back to Aliexpress, unboxing the updated version of the Pagani Design PD-1717, their newest homage for 2022 of the Longines Spirit in 38MM.
This is a very good looking watch, I opted for the blue version, but there are also green, black and white dial options available. Is this Pagani Design listening to their customers, and creating smaller size watches for the smaller wrist sizes? Let's hope so!

Got mine. Confirm that the watch is actually quite impressive for the price. Only thing missing is better lum and reduce the thickness a bit. The detail of the dial is amazing specially the reflection coming from the laminated edges that create 3D effect. My movement is giving min around 4-6 seconds lag per day. Excellent PRICE-TO-VALUE ratio.
Well done Pagani Design! Listening to your customer base has helped produce a much better watch which will sell more units. Much prefer the no text logo too 👍
Agree completely, much prefer the just logo, and not making this a 40mm seriously helps it!

V2 looks so much better with the longer hands. Shame the diamond on the second hand doesn’t align with the diamond indices like on the Longines, but I guess that’s being picky. Perfect size and no date too. Really nice. Cheers.

They could get the thickness close to 12.5 or even 12mm with nh35. They just don't care.
For the prize of this watch I can get a Citizen Eco-drive titanium. BM8560 so it's very expensive for a chinise watch.
It is full price a bit expensive, but AliExpress do sales like 5 times a year, so it will come down in price.
I just got one for $94 with a bunch of discounts.

They did an excellent job on this V2. Kudos for finally keeping it simple by just having the applied logo, simple text and for God's sake, not putting PT Time, whatever the hell that even stands for.
I like the hands, right on for the discount code...tempting.
I ordered it for 59 dollars and it's on it's way.

I'm glad I got this in the version 2. The longer hands makes it look much better and more like the Longines. I tried wearing it with the bracelet, but it really doesn't match the quality of the case. I found it a too tinny and I wish it had male endlinks. I don't think the female endlinks are necessary because of the small case size and relatively short lug to lug. After putting a nato strap with it, I think the watch now looks and wears so much better.
I'd agree, the bracelet is not great, and I have to on a leather strap at the moment, looks far better.
This one or the pagani rangers ? I only have budget for 1 watch

Hmmm....I like both, but if I was going for a ranger homage, i'd probably save up and get the San Martin for the nicer bracelet and lume

Why not 42mm!?
The Longines itself comes in 37mm and 40mm as well, so it's aping the smaller sizes.
Recently, I often watch videos designed by Pagani, but most of them are normal boxes.
I also bought 1622 with a box, but it's green.
Does it change depending on the version?Or old and new?

A green box? I've not seen a green box, that's new to me. Was it on AliExpress?
On AliExpress, you can select from the vendor whether you want the old black cardboard box, or the nicer black leather effect box. I went with the nicer, as they were sending it to me for free 😅
