Dani, please don’t let this be the end. We have all fallen in love with you. The blue thing with the black strap is a life saver for people who have trouble gripping screw-lids when the jar still has a vacuum (for example me). You put the strap around the lid, tighten the strap tight and use it to turn the lid open.
The best jar opener I ever had was a white plastic disc that got attached to the underside of a cabinet. It has a v-shaped set of metal teeth in it. It just seems so important that you are tackling the odds and ends because it really ends an era and lets a new one begin. April you are such a good Spacemaker because you have not only help Danny create space physically but also mentally she has been given the liberty to feel the freedom of less stuff.
After our home burned we rebuilt a much smaller (1/3 size) home. My new criteria to help avoid overstuffing is to decide on an area (this box, this shelf, etc) is all of a particular item I can keep. I’ve watched the entire Dani series and even the Great-Unhoard-Gal series. And I enjoy the series of organization with family. I gotta say, of all the organizers on the Tube, yours is the most like my natural tendencies. Yours is my first method to go to. My OCD and hoarding tendencies love your work. I’ve always “made a mess” to clean a mess. Decluttering, putting like with like, trying various arrangements until the most practical and useful way becomes apparent, putting things where they are used, making things visible so they aren’t forgotten, making a use it or lose it pile, in short organizing for the user. I’ve done this for myself, friends, coworkers, family, and it works. There’s comfort for the client you’re working with, an open path for natural future work to further declutter and visual, mental, and actual progress! I’m in the “neurodivergent” camp. I am sentimental, and I collect. I am truly one of the ones who thinks there is a need for various experts and methods of putting your head in order, decluttering, organizing, cleaning, and maintaining. You have finally articulated what has been in my jumbled head all these years. It works! I hope you find much success with the book and video series!!!!
Hooray more Dani and the pets!! I have already been re-watching this series lol, very inspiring as I am tackling my own clutter as well. I would love to see her pop up on the channel every now and again as well, she is so relatable
I found that myself too, once you have let go of a couple of sentimental items, the pile you decided to keep starts to lose its value and you realise that fewer items have a meaning for you and it’s soo much easier to let go of things once you’ve had time to breathe. ❤
My first thought is that blue tool was is an oil filter remover tool. But it could be used for jars as well. Essentially, it grips anything that's round and assists in torque
I stumbled on Dani's first kitchen tidy video, realizing there were a whole journey before it, I watched the kitchen saga to the end. Totally in love with Dani and April, what a dynamic duo. Of course I went to the start and watched the relationship and space grow, and I am so proud of both of you. What will I do when the final declutter is over?
You are both making amazing progress and I will miss Dani when this is complete. I believe Dani will do amazing in a second sweep by herself, I would love to see a follow up in say 6 months 💜
When my cat is feeling ‘helpful’ I always pull out a piece of paper or nearby book and ask her to sit on it. Gets her purring and supervising in one spot.
WOW you were really letting go with your glow! It'inspired me again and i am letting go of a few pillows. This month i am doing more decluttering and reorganizing in my bedroom/art space. I was thinking about things that April said and it os really helping me work my letting go muscles. So happy you are back for another episode next Sunday. Of course I'm happy to see you get things to where you are comfy, but another dose of Dani will be very welcomed. Thanks for the inspiration April and Dani🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love this series, what a difference! Both in the home and Dani herself. Am I crazy if I suggest that she simply removes the red table all together? 😲 Just hang a picture on the wall there and enjoy the extra floor space? Looking forward to the next one!
I think you are both such lovely ladies. I truly think I am a mixture of you both. I do have " a space for everything, snd every thing in its space" but every space is full! So thanks to your channel, I have started a huge clear out. From this week's clean laundry already I have filled a 70l bag to donate. I realised I am keeping clothes for best, but in reality due to ill health, I rarely go out. So last week I started wearing my nicer clothes each day, snd it really has given me a mental boost. My mum, hubby and daughters have all commented how nice I have looked, wearing blouses and jeans instead of leggings and tshirts. Tomorrow I start on the wardrobe. Wish me luck! 😂
On the conrete walls you can use the Command strip velcro picture hangers. I use them here in my apartment in Beijing. I have concrete walls with a thing layer of plaster over it and paint. Only once or twice have I had damage from the command strip coming off. Don't use the one with the gel or clear glue. The foam strips work the best.
I can’t believe you got more space in that room, it looks fantastic. Well done Dani on letting so much more go. The bookshelves look great. Looking forward to seeing the bathroom next. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️🙇♀️👏👏💪👍🙏💐🐈🐶
Book decluttering tip: Divide your books into books you would read again and books you would not read again. Get rid of books you would not read again.
The clothes room looks really good, a lot more spacious and clean. The small hallway is an easy place to put things and get to them later, I think we all have a place like that. The book shelves look better. I really like that small red table, it's cute. Look forward to the bathroom sorting, I'm sure she'll be surprised at how much she'll be able to let go off. She's doing a great job and keeps getting better.
Loved it! Its cool to see such a slow and monotonous process being handled with a coach. I'm trying very hard to internalize April in my head, so I can turn to my new imaginary friend when I next declutter my stuff!
Hi April and Dani! I loved your series I can't wait for the next episode tonight! (I'm in Australia) I just wanted to make a suggestion for the part 1 episode last week regarding the art supplies and art pictures. It would be better to take out the bags of fabric and art and craft supplies. You can put the pictures/canvases/frames directly on the floor leaning against the wardrobe for more stability so they don't accidentally slip off the platform ledge. Then you can stack the fabric/craft supply storage boxes up on the ledge because they are rectangular, stable and light. This allows Dani to slide out art supplies constantly without disturbing and knocking over the heavy picture frames and canvases. In other words switch around the paintings and craft boxes LOL. Just a suggestion! I love you guys! ❤🥰🌻🌷🌼💎👑👍🏻💗
I'm so excited for you Dani❤🎉You have done SUCH great work and to see you flex your declutter muscles to let more stuff go here at the final lap shows you are guarding your space from any excess stuff trying to take root. 😊❤❤❤

For the nails related things in the drawer, if i may suggest not using this drawer for that purpose, and putting nails thing inside a box or a basket.
You often do your nails while watching tv for example, or at your dinning table while being on the phone, and nails require lot of tiny tools, then choosing colors, etc... It's a "me time", creative activity, wich requires (to me at least) a kind of "non concentrate" state of mind, like a relaxed flow.

This is exactly what I needed tonight. This video with Dani's smile and the two non-helper are a relief right now !
She has done a great job !😊💖 we will miss her when she is done decluttering
Her home.
How did I not put together until the second to last episode that Dani’s animals were named after Lucy and Ricky Ricardo?! 🤦🏼♀️
Ok…wow..thank you, get it now. I just noticed earlier that they all 3 have red hair😊
HAHA I didn't even notice! So cute
Me too!
12:55 yes, looks like a jar opener. You put the strap around the lid and then squeeze the handle while turning to open the jar.
Yaaaaay Dani, such good progress and proper homes for everything. April, your happy face when you restacked the seasonal closet😅
I hope you visit her in a year to see where she is in her decluttering journey and just to catch up. 💚
I kind of don't want it to end, I love Dani.
The after of the wardrobe / storage room was so satisfying - the room is gorgeous!
I always look forward to watch your videos on Sundays to see Dani’s great work. I'm going to be sad when you are finished 😢 Good job Dani!👏👏👏
Dani looks brighter and more vibrant every time!
That blue thing is a wrench for turning waste filters, oil filters etc of any size.
Book decluttering tip: Divide your books into books you would read again and books you would not read again. Get rid of books you would not read again.
Heck yeah you are now a space maker, Dani! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
That blue thing with black rubber band is used around lids, etc. to open them.
Works wonderfully for hard to open jars.
Dani's apartment looks so cute, I'd love an apartment like this! So cozy with the pink and red lights
🐈 I Love Lucy… even when she’s a troublemaker 😂😂😂😂Couldn’t have picked a better name…. Some splaining to do little one
Dani is looking radiant , body is more relaxed. 😃
Jar opener I use it all the time the best tool ever. Love this series. This series is so satisfying.
I'm so excited for you Dani❤🎉You have done SUCH great work and to see you flex your declutter muscles to let more stuff go here at the final lap shows you are guarding your space from any excess stuff trying to take root. 😊❤❤❤
I love the almost cleared hall table and new nail department❤
Love, Love, Love watching Dani's journey. You both make a great team and I hope we can revisit with Dani down the road to check-in. Amazing work April. I am learning a lot as I try to conquer my own clutter mountains at home.
This episode was hilarious (funny spontaneous dialogues, excitement of the home stretch, happiness when things fall into place after such hard work... super positive vibes!)
It looks amazing ❤
Good job and thanks!
Dani is so likable 🥹
