Great news! April, you have a great, respectful, fun-loving attitude. I started watching you rework your family’s decor (grandma?) quite a while back. Who knew how you’d blossom helping people declutter gently, organizing for better usage/ and really LIVING their way. I look forward to buying the book.
Honestly? I feel like this is great for all of us! I'd be in favor of catch-up/'touch-up' visits with anyone who's up for it. Living with a re-organized space is a real mind-bender, and it can take a while to re-orient yourself. There's something to learn from every reaction to these processes, even if someone feels like they've 'failed' and that they haven't kept up with things as they would have wanted to.
But in this case, it's an easy answer: yay! More Dani!

I'm glad the series with Dani is continuing. Decluttering and organising isn't one and done, it takes time and going through things multiple times and this series honestly shows that. As you get rid of things your clutter blindness starts to go away and you can see more clearly the things you need and want to keep.

I found that when you start to sell your things it brings home the lesson that it is easier to buy that get rid of. After selling some items, I now think twice before I purchase. I also ask myself can I resell this if necessary.
@@Pubslife It really is a lot of work. If you sell something that needs to be mailed then you have to consider packing materials and drop off places, but if you make people pick up, you have to schedule time and wait around for a random person that may not even show up or might just be rude. It is such a hassle to sell, so I can fully understand why you would learn from that, I have yet to learn that lessons and I am still gathering items like a small kid collecting rocks... ^^"

From an ex-hoarder with 3+ yrs of therapy, I am so proud of Dani who came a loooong way. My therapy once said to me that let's NOT focus on the number of items I decluttered but the frequency that I do it. The more times you declutter the easier it gets. I felt so inspired to declutter my paper work (old bills, useless documents etc) that I've been putting off for 3 months until this video. I ended up throwing out a bag of 'office' stuff, 3 kitchen jars, 5 sticker booklets, 1 pr shoes, 1 jacket and a place mat this week 😅👍

I found that I got less sick when I decluttered my flat the first time. Less mould and dust helped. I also drastically changed my diet after as I had space in my life for cooking again 😊 Hope that is something that changes for Dani after all your hard work together!
That makes perfect sense. When you have clutter, you cannot clean as thoroughly and effectively as when areas are clear. The accumulation of dirt, dust, hair, mold and mildew, among other things, triggers allergies and can cause illnesses.
@ArtyAntics Changes, yes!! Since we decluttered the kitchen, I have been baking a lot! I also pickled beets! I hadn't done that in a long, long time! Feels great!
That's exactly what I'm looking forward to - cooking and eating proper food.
When my microwave broke I decided to not replace it. I want to get back in the habit of cooking whole foods, not eating ready meals, even if they are the healthier versions with fresh veg.
I've decluttered the kitchen, but it needs another pass, and reorganisation before it's completely usable. That's today's job.

Love this series. But honestly, the star of the show is Lucy. She is such a determinedly bad tempered cat 😄 She can diss a person from 8ft away just by a turn of the back. It is good to go around a declutter again a bit later. More stuff will come out of it. it always does.
Right! She's so surly lol. She seems less like a companion and more like a roommate
I feel like the cat is usually hungry and in need of pets. Cats are territorial and they like to sleep a lot.
I’m so glad you have at least one more episode. Dani has made humongous progress. Her house is not minimalistic but she’s been very good about tossing obvious trash and things she doesn’t use. I hope she will feature in future episodes. She will be the perfect person to check in with!

I have one shampoo, one conditioner, one moisturiser and a small tray with cosmetics and I love the simplicity of it. I used to collect things but now love decluttering instead.

I also just have one of everything. We have many drawers in our house that are virtually empty. No clutter here!

Last week I was so inspired by Dani that I watched 10 minutes and quit watching so I could get rid of stuff as well. It went well. This week I’ve watched the entire thing but still plan to declutter again today.
Having anxiety attacks for two days and I'm so overwhelmed, tired and exhausted. I'm glad that I have something to watch for 22 minutes that will make me feel more relaxed. Sorry for my bad English - my brain doesn't work right and I'm too exhausted to use a translator

There’s lots to be learned from the buy two get one free marketing. Unless you will use a product up in a reasonable amount of time or will donate two to a homeless shelter or food bank you aren’t doing yourself any favors by stockpiling products. I have one open shampoo and one on the shelf and no matter what sales are offered I won’t purchase another one until I finish the open one and take the one off the shelf to use. This makes managing my space and my budget really easy.
I've really enjoyed this series! I can't wait to see the refrigerator magnets gone. They were a distraction from the organized kitchen😮😊❤

You turned up unannounced and unexpected in my feed and I have BINGED the videos. You two are utterly charming and this is the best series ever. Dani is so relatable and April so kind and non confronting, could honestly could watch you just refine and refine and refine.
Dani is a great sunny person and I appreciate her honesty! Isn't this true for all of us? We plan and life happens to push our plans right off the table!
The way I dropped everything the moment this dropped.
I only keep a maximum of two of any one toiletry at a time-one in regular use and one in back stock. When I take the last container of something out of the back stock to put into regular use, I write it on my grocery list with a question mark after it. That means I can wait until it goes on sale before buying. I never run out of anything, and I never have to pay full price.
I do that, too. I also use the minimum amount of product. We tend to dispense too much toothpaste, shampoo and creams and waste a lot of it in the process.
Through this entire declutter, the focus I have had on the amount of wasted money… Dani could have saved and retired like ten years early! It has definitely changed my perspective and I will no longer be shopping like a mad woman. I am going to note the price of things I want and then tally that up and put it in my savings!!! I’m also deleting my Amazon account!

We’re all guilty of this kind of spending in some way. I have a major book habit that I definitely need to stop until my TBR pile is gone. Recognition can lead to progress!
Honestly, just making a rule that an item has to stay in your online cart for at least two days before you can buy it, makes you realize how many items are just impulse buys and really cuts down on waste.
To be honest, after I’ve spent a lot of time and energy decluttering my house, I find it really difficult to buy new things anyway. I find myself automatically looking at something and wondering if it will end up in donation pile in a few months time. If the answer is yes, and it usually is, then I don’t buy it.
It’s a bit sad, but I love opening cupboards and drawers so I can gloat at how I have enough space and how organised everything is, now they are not filled up with junk.
If you start valuing your time, energy and available space more, then you will save money without even trying.

One of my goals was to get down to as little skin/hair/whatever care product as possible. I didn’t have tons, but what i loved i would rebuy and what i didnt like i would use up asap or gift or donate. Facial creams that i didnt love would also be used up on dry legs for example. I think its the same with house hold products, you can buy every kind but probably only need 4 things to clean your whole house. It saves so much money and space and energy to become more aware of your buying habits as a layer of the decluttering process 💗💗💗
There is motivation when you see how much money you save by using up what you already have.

So glad Dani is getting rid of the fridge magnets! I held onto mine for the longest time, but when I finally got rid of them it made the fridge look way better. Now I don’t put anything on my fridge and I love the clean look.
Dani’s series is my absolute favorite out of everything on the channel. I’m sure that off camera there is not always positivity, and some hard moments, but her personality and approach to this hard thing inspires me to take my own process with a lighter heart. Thanks Dani for sharing your journey!
I found that minimalist is the most freeing thing on earth, when you have so many things coming in and not going out 😳 your home will not be able to breathe and it will build up anxiety and stress in your home. Be Free of THINGS 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️ Once in Need are waiting for your things 🥰

At the start of this series, I had decluttered under my bathroom sink. The amount of expired and unused stuff filled a tall kitchen trash bag! Kuddos to Dani, your home is looking great!🥳🥳🥳

YAY!! I am so enjoying this series. It has been so inspiring for me. I have hoarder tendencies so its really helped me seeing both Dani's progress (and struggles) with letting go of things and April's techniques, compassion and skills in action. My progress is slow as I am disabled but watching this series is really helping me make a dent in all the stuff I have.
Danny find something around your home to put your Q tips in. A jar preferably. Packaging takes up so much space.
I’m really glad your going back to finish with Dani. She is fun to watch but more than that seeing her finally get the last of the stuff out of her space will be awesome.
(Saying this with love) It sounds like you get sick often. I wonder if the mold/mildew that you have encountered along the way contributes to that. As you keep decluttering, you may want to keep stuff away from those corners that get mold so that you can keep those areas ventilated and cleaned frequently.

It would also probably help Dani reinforce all of your lessons. I don't know if u realize how much ur episodes have motivated me alone. Not sure if other people get the bug watching these types of videos, but I have done so much in my tiny in-law apt & it feels amazing. The only difference is I'm trying to go for a minimalist look, but the process is very slow bcuz I don't have a April helping/encouraging me. 😂 Looking forward to the next one...
All space and useful shelves are kept for the plants. That wall is best one in the house to use with cabinets & have a storage area. Hope Dani sees my comment April. 😢 Less is more girls!

I got rid of loads and I’m thrilled and now have space on the shelves. As you were filming the bathroom you turned the camera to the right into the room for storage and clothing - with Lucy-cat in the room enjoying her own space and having a little scratch - and it was such a breath of fresh air. Though I don't know how Dani feels about that; as we don't all have the same satisfaction from seeing a crowded room sorted and put right and made so beautifully useable - and to see the space that's opened up to enable you to move about the room with ease. I hope Dani does feel the same joy - but even if that's just not her thing and she does well in a crowded space - as some really do! - then I hope she's taking satisfaction of knowing what she has and being able to lay hands on it with ease 😊
I totally related to the many options for curly hair as I too have curly hair and currently live in Korea, you have to have options for different seasons. Also your hair in the last clip looks fantastic which is very impressive in the humid summer months.
