Yep this particular Model X still had USS. I was sad to learn that they also recently got rid of the front door sensors so the doors now just prop open and no longer opens fully :(
We are thinking of trading up from a 2022 MYP to an LR X and at this price point the FRUNK should be POWERED and a rear armrest like the S. Does PPF or a WRAP affect the FWD or door sensors?
I'm not sure as the car I had didn't have PPF or wrapped. I'd ask a Model X owners facebook group. Keep in mind, however, I don't believe the 2024+ Model X have front door sensors anymore, I could be wrong.
This happens only if you have a lot of water/snow accumulated on your roof **and** if you fully open the doors. When you know your vehicle, you anticipate situations like this - it happened to me 2 or 3 times over 6 years of ownership! I love this vehicle - the only issue is how Tesla treats MX (and same for MS) owners compared to M3/Y. When you pay such a premium price, we expect exclusivity in features and software because you have more hardware and pay more for it...well be ready to be frustrated with Tesla as it is the reverse. Over time, you will have fewer features and less convenience because Tesla disregards MX/S owners and does everything based on the limitations of M3/Y, they receive features before MX/S (when those cars have those...sometime it never happens!) Plus, those cheaper vehicles get updates/are supported longer than MX/S, etc... So hard to recommend...but damn I love this car! Great roadtriper! no doubt!
Model X is super for long distance driving. This car give you all what you need. I love it my Tesla
Such an awesome vehicle for road trips!
Very helpful, thank you for sharing this!
You have a 2022 version with USS? I noticed your front door fully opens.

When it rains/snows would the water come down from the falcon doors and get into your interior?
I only had the cars for a few days, and I didn't encounter any rain, but I wouldn't imagine the rain dripping down into the interior door panel.
