First couple of weeks with the new baby in the house and his beagle buddies. We do alot of things together so the dogs know nothing has changed. A screaming little monster in the room might give your dog some stress and you don't want that to happen.
Feeding the baby and the dogs get a treat to , feeding the dogs with the baby in hand , playing outside with the baby , going on walks with him....we are one big family and the baby can't cause stress on the dogs.

I just had to put down my 16 year old Beagle. I have 6 grandchildren that all grew up with her, from babies. She was so patient and gentle with all of them and loved playing with them as they got older. She was a wonderful dog with the kids.
When I got my beagle, my son was 10, he begged for 3 years to get a dog, agreed on a medium size, started looking into different breeds, it would be my first dog as a adult too, my ex husband wanted a husky, I thought the Beagle was a better fit. A very close friend had a baby girl the same month we collected him at 8 weeks old, they grew up together, she would crawl all over him, he just sat there and let her, he never growled at her once, she had a baby boy 2 years later, he was a bit more ruff with Stitch, he pulled his tail once, he just turned & barked once, it never happened again, he was never left with the babies, as I don't think u should leave any dog alone with babies, but I can 1000% say I trusted him & think he/the beagle I had was brilliant with children & babies, even in old age, he would just remove himself from the room if he'd had enough of the children, best dogs ever
Nice to see a family that introduces their new born with respect to the dogs into their family! Exactly as they describe: involve them, set the boundaries but most of all: nothing changes for them and in this way the baby and his doggos will grow up healthy and with an extreme strong bond! Thanks for sharing! I grew up with dogs and my parents did the same, not once any stressed dogs, not once any incident, only love and respect and a great childhood!
The dogs love the baby so much. The dogs are so loyal and good they should never be separated from the family or the baby. May God bless all in the household. 🍀
Beagles are the absolute best family members IMHO. their a lot of work sometimes but well worth it if you learn how to properly care for them. Lots of play, always starving, little thieves, loves to play keep away, and lots of love both ways. I'll never be owned by any other kind of dog again. Love your videos!
Agreed they are just great all round dogs! They are great with kids my 22 pound female took out a German Shepard and a Lab that went after a little kid on a bike! They are also brave beyond their size! They just love little kids. My two would not let my baby out of their sight!

I had a lab before and he was wonderful. When he passed I got a female beagle from animal rescue. They have a lot of energy and sniff everything but are amazing. The only thing you have to worry about is what I call a smooching attack. If you’ve been gone for a while and sit on the couch the beagle will run full speed and jump in your lap. It will lick and sniff your face and neck relentlessly. I’ve had to warn visitors.

There is a beagle in my neighborhood who walks over to my house. He sniffs the ground for a few minutes, and then he trots over to me. I made friends with the beagle dog, and he greets me, sometimes, when he notices me working in the yard. Beagles are friendly dogs, and they love people. Especially children. They easily make great companions, and I've always wanted one of my own. They seem like such great dogs.

When I was a baby, my parents didn’t have beagles with two different mixed breeds. I remember daddy telling me when I was brought home from the hospital. He told our two dogs be nice and they were doing the same thing as these two beautiful beagles were doing with the baby here they were wagging, their tails, kissing and everything. These dogs love to play. I feel bad for the baby because they took the socks away but I couldn’t help but laugh because they have a sense of humor.❤😂

I have a 8 yr old female beagle and she is adorable. Annoying at times but the sweetest dog. She loves our baby and is best friends with her. Beagles are awesome dogs. Friendly and I’ve never once had her bite or snap at anyone no matter how rough the kids are with her. Best dog I’ve ever had.

I actually used to have a beagle when I was younger. If Mom or Dad weren't watching the baby you could bet your bottom dollar THE DOG WAS WATCHING THE BABY! Actually she did the same thing WITH ME! When I was in Kindergarten she would always lie down with me when I watched TV.

Awwww! Is the baby 2 or 3 now? I had a baby sitter from when I was born to around 5-6. They had a dog named “Farm dog” and he was a big white dog. Whenever I cried and my Mom or babysitter would pick me up to calm me down or feed me, the dog would growl at them, thinking they were the cause and he was trying to protect me. And when I was crying and my bottle was in his reach, he would grab it with his mouth and try to give it to me. I loved farm dog and he was a loyal friend to me for his whole life. I had a great childhood and I truly love the idea of kids getting to experience pets from a young age. It teaches them a lot about responsibility and gives them a special friend they can always play with. ♥️☺️👍
