#IEM #Sennheiser #IE400Pro
I think this is the best way to "test" in ears. There's really not much else you can do besides tell specs and these things can be subjective. Thanks for doing the vid!
I felt more mids in the IEM mix than the original while listening with Audio Technica M40x's
Both mixes sound great, different, but great. More mids in the IEM, and the 'real' mix i like better, but still nice.
Oh shit! Shout out to The Home Team!
Great vid as we have come to expect!
How many drivers in those sweet custom IEMs you premiered a week or so hence? 😉
IEMs seem optimal but often rather impractical.
Would personally seldom mix with anything but decent monitors though- details checked on headphones or IEMs seems a reasonable practice.
4th!?
Cleaning tool to Right on Sennheiser makes some sweet stuff!
So how do these perform in a live gig setting ?
The crash on the battery sounds more refined on IE400 Pro than on my in-ear. But sounds about the same on my Beats Studio 2.0. The difference is that on IE400 the sound on the midrange is richier. I'm not sure i like this midrange.
Craziest review
The Sennheiser has a slight more mids compared to the original mix.
BEARDS!
How would you compare these to the SE535?
Se535 are not good as they claim to be. There is no soundstage at all.everything sound like mixed up there is no separation at all.
Not good. CHeck the forums
The ie400 pro doesn't use a balanced armature driver, which you refer to as an "armature" driver in the video. It's a 7mm dynamic driver, which is just a very very small speaker.
You weren't listening. He said that about other typical IEMs.
@@guybuddy1, you are correct. I was probably half watching
@@leesbassment6393 Not sure why I bothered responding to your two year old comment, but yeah. Btw IE 400's are really good for its price.
Beards!
this or ie300? at same price
Definitely IE 400. I found out the hard way...
Sorry but why show us a wide range of in ear monitors?
Probably just be able to ge free shit to play with.
Both tracks sound the same to me
Original sounds more scooped in the mids and a bit brighter. Corresponding to the missing 1-3khz of ie400pro. It is pretty shit.
Little less air/ high frequencies with the in-ear monitors to my ears!
@@j-fquevillon8134 That's right
Here’s my real life review.
I’ve tried KZs very trebly. 40% satisfaction with the bass.
Shure 112 sucks.
Shure 215 sucks.
Shure 300 series sucks
Shure 425 sucks
Shure 535 very good clear sound not as defined when panning but still satisfactory however you are left wondering HOW much better can they get since the last 4 other versions sucked.
Sennheiser ie400 beats the Shure 535’s. super clear, panning is amazingly clear and intentional.
Bass. Mids. Treble is clear and not annoying.
My next one is the 500 series
Please get Etymotic er4 and er2..... Those are really studio grade.
Measurements

accufidelity.blogspot.com/2019/04/etymotic-er2se-measurements.html
😬I don't feel like I'm lookin' at 300 bucks tho!😬 ouuuch!
Cheap sony mh1c will be better than those. 20 dollars
If you would like spend a little more get etymotic mk5 and er2. 100-150 dollars.
They measure better and sound better.
We just got a pair of the IE40s to try out because their price and size. Our our musicians who mostly use custom UE7s say they sound really good, almost on par with theirs. Those who have used them are buying them as backups. Their main thing was they have less isolation the customs. The 40s are $99 and compared to a lot of others and sound better. The low distortion helps with fatigue also. When I go from a quieter mix to a louder one I don't feel as much like my head is being blown off as others. As an engineer who hasn't saw the justification to buy my own (even mixing ears for the last 15 years) I'm considering at least the 40s. Some cheaper ears work ok and I've used them successfully. But definitely not as good or accurate. To each his own though. I think like he said in the video these probably are worth more and my curiosity is peaked.
@@johnyang799 Wtf, you actually think mh1c sounds better than the IE 400?
@@guybuddy1 not even close bruh
@@johnyang799 Did you actually even try them?(IE 400) cause no joke you might have legit hearing problems if you have compared the two and though the Sony sounds better... I'm betting you're just trolling and if so you've succeeded in confusing the fk out of me.
Just get studio monitors a nice pair of Adams or yahmas they will blow you away
yeah sure lol
1st?
2nd
Do measurements or nothing. Sennheiser don't know how to tune iems. They all have recessed 3khz region.
Good lol
