Clumsy fight, but after going throught the path of pain, I can understand that. Honestly, if there was a bench before the Pure Vessel, this would have been really cool in the actual game, way better than just randomly fighting it in the fourth pantheon.
I'm not the best at fights in the first place. Moreover, recording causes noticeable input lag for me, which is also why I miss a few inputs here and there in the platforming sections. Still fun though!

@@HerOwnKnife but the white palace is a “real” place, it’s just hid from everyone but you can actually see the real servants and the real pale king so you would meet the real pure vessel and it wouldn’t make much sense, not that it does right now

Hollow Knight lore is weird, I reccomend watching Mossbag's lore video to understand, but essentially, this thing wouldn't make sense here due to... well, not existing. Pure Vessel, in the Godhome, is the Peak Form of the Hollow Knight. But that time has passed, and now the Hollow Knight is in the black egg. It couldn't possible be in the white palace at the same time.

This already was hard as fuck, now imagine encounter that... one of the most difficult bosses in game, and for me harder than radiance. He should be a secret boss in this section but with a bench just up there for a fair battle, lastly you can refight this boss in the godmaster tower again.
Yeah. Pure vessel is pretty tough. Once I figured out how to dodge the sword slam he wasn't too bad. Radiant Markoth though....uuuuuuughh...there's a mini boss I never want to see repeated in Silksong...

God watching path of pain just reminds me of when I made the mistake of attempting it in a steel soul run. Lost to the guards right at the end, and was sad.
I ain’t ever doing path of pain again cuz literally I did both palace and path palace understandable but I hate the path it was for a cut scene made me angry
It's cool, but it also unfortunately makes no sense lore wise, because the vessel is corrupted, but imagine if there was a back up vessel, it's purpose being to destroy and replace the first pure vessel. Instead now, it's locked in the dreams, we could save it, too, so it can finally fulfill it's purpose, but instead we defeat it, for it is also impure. The time it spent locked it the dreams gave it time to think, to realize how it was so poorly treated, and the pain in the process of it's upbringing. so we must defeat it only then do we see the King cherishing, and caring for the back up, and the Pure vessel.
Path of pains not that bad, the last rooms the only one that's a bit tricky. I had more trouble with pure vessel initially on my first playthrough, although the fight isn't terrible once you've figured out a strat
@@erickuo2786 yeah I've completed all the dlcs. I would say pure vessels the second hardest fight in the pantheon of hallownest (number one is obvious). Zote's pretty bad as well
Although I’m mildly impressed, I saw multiple flaws and mistakes you made during this entire run that could have been entirely avoided if you hadn’t defaulted to using monarch wings, as quite a lot of the moving “traps” area perfectly timed to shade cloak, so if you default to using cloak first then wings it would go much more smoothly, I also saw this with your fight against pure vessel, your dodging was a little clumsy, shade cloak is a tool much better suited to dodging than wings as wings were designed primarily for use in platforming and navigation, not as a tool in a fight and I very rarely use them in a fight.
i admire the attention you paid to the video, though op did say they have input something something problems (not that good with remembering) so in my opinion, i think their run was quite epic!
