Patrick, could you please do a deep dive on generating top spin. After we have a loose wrist, we follow the ball, we swing freely and hit the fence, we have big margin over the net, how do we generate enough top spin to control the ball?
Hi! There are many different types of slices but for this answer I'll just refer to a generic slice. The slice can be tricky but to really simplify it the slice comes mostly from the legs. What I mean by this is when making contact if we stop moving forward when hitting the ball, the ball tends to "pop up" or go higher then we want it to. To avoid this when making contact with the ball I suggest taking two steps forward after making contact (this tends to keep the ball lower to the ground) and you get that nice slice. Another tip to keep in mind is driving through the ball with your arm. At the same time your moving forward with those two extra steps you also are continually driving through with your arm. I would say these two steps together will get you about 90% of the way, the other 10% is just going out and drilling this :) Hope this helps!
In my experience when a ball is moving slower and I'm more aggressive with my legs (meaning getting to the ball earlier, hitting on the rise, and taking time away from the opponent) tends to work well. You dont necessarily have to hit the ball hard but just by being aggressive with overall time (taking time away from your opponents) can be a higher percentage way to play and set up opportunities for yourself and take advantage of their shot choice :) Over hitting on slow balls can be a way to make super easy errors. sometimes being a little more patient can win you matches :)

Hello Patrick I am a kid and I am at an intermediate level,I’m am also an aggressive baseline r, I would like to know what racket I should use?
How to attack balls with slow tempo were the ball has no energy potential?

I noticed that when he appeared to be tired, he was standing higher. Perhaps not bending the knee was not a technical thing, more of a fitness issue.

Some of these clips are so poorly shot it’s unwatchable. Use a gimbal, otherwise all these videos are going to waste.
