After 2 years of not playing, Warframe is still my most played game on steam. (5000+ hrs). No...I'm not proud of it. I just installed this game. Let's see if it's worth my time.
I gotta say, everything about warfare looked meh, same with once human, first descendant and the list goes on seemingly ad infinitum since these games are a dime a dozen

well it's been proved by Pirate Software YT that this entire Once Human privacy issue was fake, so the guy who first spread it just didn't know how to read the terms and agreement, and everyone on social media just believe it and perpetuate the story.

Granted, most single player games now REQUIRE you to be online, even if there’s no multiplayer or online mode, or at least online features like Death Stranding had. It’s insane. I want to buy a disk, put it on my shelf after beating it, and be able to take it down in ten years to replay it for the nostalgia rush when they announce a sequel.
@@Alex-jb8wrIt’s definitely a questionable ToS, BUT PirateSoftware pointed out that it’s because China is controlling and likely won’t apply outside of China. Besides, as long as it’s free to play, and you don’t fall into the trap of buying any micro transactions, you can always uninstall the game should it ask for too much. People do need to start caring about their data though. Good concerns, but people either didn’t understand what they were reading or they don’t understand how authoritarian China is.
The privacy policy doesn't state that this is required by Once Human, they said they will collect the date that your local applicable laws require for identity and age verification purposes. So absolutely no problems there, many game with online shop/service actually mention this.
It's wild how bad people's reading comprehension is. People freaking out over the boiler plate "we may collect your information" and understanding it as "we require that you give it to us". Installed the game, didn't hand over any information, it's pretty fun so far.

Biggest issue I see immediately is that their privacy policy isn't linked on the steam page. I didn't purchase the game, so I can't be sure, but you can't require people to accept a policy *after* they purchased your product. Legally, the policy is unenforceable.
Not that I'd purchase or even use for free any software made by Chinese people.

The same people giving bad reviews to Once Human might do the same for the Riot games, so they might be consistent in their distrust and distain towards things like that. Just because the overall review scores for those Riot games are not as bad, might have more to do with the larger audience of those games and a large amount of normies playing those games that are unaware of the privacy issue, posting positive reviews.

1:27 the same energy has actually been projected towards Vanguard, thousands if not tens of thousands of players stopped playing and deleted League (including me and my friend circle) when it was implemented. Not because we were cheaters, but because I've never played Valorant for the simple reason of Vanguard having Kernel access to my computer. That same energy and their concerns with the anti cheat was directed towards it by countless numbers of players for that same reason. I was constantly shuffling between diamond and master on eu west, and has not once got in a game with a scripter, sure, it happens in higher elo games like challenger and what not more often, but cheating in League was never as big of a problem as in other competitive games.
So just dont play it kakakakak lmao, no one is forcing you to do it, why do you have to become the white knight of privacidade policies? Its capitalism, baby, companies do what they want to do in the free Market and if you dont agree just dont interact with them and stfup

You're way too aggressive to be allowed to use the internet. I hate Vanguard for my reasons, therefore I don't interact with games that has Vanguard AC. Since Once Human does not need Kernel access, I'm playing it even at the moment of typing this reply. Also, my comment was very specific to how the public received the Vanguard introduction into League, and explained from my POV.

Because they already sold everything they gathered before. If you really have such strong concern about your info safety - get another PC that wouldn't have any game, popular program and will have linux, install access control software, software for creating isolated networks, certified anti-virus, and keep all personal data there. My thing is that the reviews are misinformation. An official statement reads "where the local laws require us to do so (such as for a specific promotion), when the identity of a user’s parent must be verified to obtain consent for their child (if required by applicable child protection laws), or when the user wishes to correct their age information (again, if such verification is required by law). In any case, the ID information is deleted immediately after we have fulfilled the purpose for collecting the ID information in the first place." It's not collected in the US, but other countries looking to play and have strict identity laws.
I'm playing the game and loving it it's a fun game where I can build a house catch monsters like pokemon and ride my motorcycle through a apocalyptic world.
This is the actual truth that can be seen by stopping 5 minutes and going to read that part of the ToS by yourself, but majority of people rather go along the herd and hate for the sake of it. They list so much stuff because in countries like China you need to give em a lot of personal data to prove u're an adult, and it's REQUIRED by law.
Also, how the heck are they gonna collect such level of private data without asking them to you directly since they only can access to what steam allows the to see (the spyware argument is just idiotic, it would speedrun the ban of the game from steam after a brief investigation of reports)?

You can make a 2nd character on another server now..

You still can't delete your character. The chatter that said they "fixed" that was wrong. They made it so you can create 1 character per server instead of 1 character total, but you still can't delete a character once you've made one.
As a software developer who has built drivers and user applications across windows and linux systems.. Everything their driver can obtain in kernel mode can also be obtained in usermode also. (usermode is you and myself, just launching an app, that's usermode)
The primary and watered down difference between user and kernel mode is that kernel mode you can read and write any type of data you want, usermode you can essentially do the same, but more limited.. kernel gives you 100% read / write access, usermode gives you like 95% read / write access,.. and the small amount you can't access in usermode is for system and your own security... usermode apps can still get you IP, HWID information, account SID, email, etc...

Publishers just like to abuse it so they can release unfinished buggy messes of things that are trying to be games whenever they fixed them with "free updates" and some Horse Armor DLC.
Monster Hunter World did it flawlessly throughout it's life cycle and gave me a game i could sink over 3000 hours in.
(The next highest hours i have is Terraria with 400+ and everything else is far below 100 hours for context)

Iv played ( 12 hours ) and this game is really good. Great graphics, Really good zombies and monsters movement. I would give this game a AAA+ title rating but it also has many bugs to fix and other stuff to improve on but still really fun.🎉❤
( Only complaint I have is FOV could get closer to character but other than that it looks great amd feels great )
I played for a few hours, i don't hate it nor do i love it, i haven't played enough to give a review or a recommendation. To see people with less than a couple hours give a game a bad review is laughable. It reminds me of a toddler with a low attention span. Also, it's free...These games are almost always grindy and have a cash shop. The audacity of some people to be surprised!

It has 100 menus for quests and menus inside menus. The open world is bad; it might as well be an instanced game, and the gunplay is trash.

@@katto1937 Thats what my friend used to ask, before the physical discs started disappearing, and companies started well into getting the idea of revoking ownership on all things digital. Nothing wrong with 1-2 live service if its to burn 2 hours or so with friends every now and then, but i have this weird ass mindset and like to own things i pay for, and want to invest serious time into. Im being cautious with things that require an online connection, and not supporting it for decades have caused me no regrets, saved me a lot of money and even time.
Games should be play for fun and brings you joy. Try the game yourself and ignore these kind of reviews, thats meaningless.

Under Chinese Business Law (Land Law i believe is called) any conpany whos headquarters are within Chinese Land is required to let the chinese gocerment have 2/3 control of your company or organization. Thus every chinese game developer is technically owned by the Chinese Government.

And the ones still using those mainstream stuff, probably use AdBlock, CookieBlocks, Cache Deletion, Tracker Blocking and stuff like that, still enjoying those stuff with minimal to no risk of data collection. It's never as half assed as you'd like to believe. And at the end of the day, even for privacy concerned people, it's a trade off in how much you're willing to give away for comodity.

Reward structure is a part of a complete gameplay loop. If too many rewards are locked behind a paywall, the gameplay loop suffers.

The data collection can also be opted out of via email. It explicitly states this in the ToS/Privacy agreements that players are "quoting" in the game. Most of these concerns are shared between basically EVERY online f2p game or service. Google and Steam also have similar data collection policies. This only seems to be a problem when it's a foreign developer for a lot of gamers....

For those seeing this without knowing the story behind the "privacy issues" mentioned: it is required in China, because they have certain rules and laws that require game companies to collect that information. If you don't like in China you do not need to provide that information and the game does not ask you for it.

I hate server resets. It promotes the people who have no lives or jobs outside of the game to dominate every fucking game. I get real tired of some home schooled 12 year old having a huge advantage over me because i had to go to work and couldn't grind or build all day.
Same, you can't even transfer the all deviations that you took some time if not more depending on the rarity.
The fact that each deviant has different skill level ratings and traits it just just makes it extra complicated or annoying. Because if I'm not happy with my pyro dragons skill rating and traits, I will have to grind again a few runs to get the one I want. They should treat deviations as collectables that can easily transfer to new seasons like blue prints cause will always have them.
We also can't even take everything that we worked hard for because of the 20k points limit. Only to do everything again. If they are afraid of new players of falling behind then create some sort of game mode or system that rewards experience players to help the new players get to their level or something.
They say refreshing each season puts everyone at an even playing field but the problem is people who have jobs/ college/ higher year highschool that play casually won't always have the time to deal with the headache of playing over and over again every 6 weeks!!. I prefer that they add stuff instead of resetting rather than being punished as a loyal player that nearly beaten the game only to be told I will have to start from square one with limited resources that I worked hard to get.

Some people are taking some of what he said too personal, granted he does not clarify that he is aware that there are people who are / were aware of the situation regarding RIOT and VANGUARD that are speaking up about this game. I am sure he is. That said, equally, there are people who were / are not aware of it. I was not personally aware of RIOT and VANGUARD until seeing concerns regarding this game and started digging. I did have concerns when a tech savy friend was having difficultly removing Vanguard from their PC when they could not play Valorant with a mutual friend of ours. It is hard to say with all of the noise if all of this is genuinely something to be concerned over or if it as others have said just standard stuff that is worded poorly and or being blown out of proportion.
I don't have any riot games, nor even the epic store. I don't think I'm gonna play this game for the privacy concerns, although I might not have ever gotten around to doing so because I'm busy playing other games

So for anyone who doesn’t have access to to a bunch of lawyers and several PCs and accountants who protect you - potentially care more. Whilst other games may ask for the same level of access to your personal data, you don’t have the same protection as a millionaire who can ‘shut the whole show down’ at a moments notice. Your details get stolen, you get hacked- you’re in trouble without the time and resources to fight.

Honestly I kinda agree with his take in this case, if you’re on any major social media and or playing any online video game, particularly one made by a Chinese company (mostly Tencent) you have already given up any privacy and security rights anyways. There’s just no way around it at this point, these companies are gonna steal and sell your data, it’s just a part of using the internet at this point and it won’t change unless laws change.

You spend starchrom at the gacha game to get blueprint fragments to make a blueprint to create a gun or straight purchase a blueprint. Blueprints persist across scenarios and seasons, BUT you can purchase starchrom. So you can essentially buy guns, you just need the mats to craft them.

-Rainwater collector system was working (put a pipe to a water tank and place the collector higher than the tank) Now it's just not working didn't get any water after the rainwater being filled 3 times
-Cutscenes were changed to the core. There's A LOT of cutscene I didn't see in the release state that I saw 6 months ago at the same point of gameplay and progression
-Never heard my character talks since I started one. 6 months ago, you can hear your character talk at the very first cutscene with the bird
