Armed with a 2kg compressed natural gas cylinder (CNG) and a 2l petrol tank, the Bajaj Freedom aims to take the lead as the most fuel efficient bike in the market. Is this the next step in commuter bike evolution following the long-lasting reins of the Hero Splendor and Honda Shine in that segment? Watch and find out.

According to your maths we will save 1980 rs per year and 20k after 10 years. Which is very insignificant

Need more practical review by OD, this is not to be compared with Regular 125cc bikes like pulsar 125, this aims at100 cc splendour segment, so if you filled up 350 Rs worth of petrol in splendour it will easily run 240 kms . now one more limitation is you wont be able to use 2kg of CNG fully, some say you can use 1,2-1,5 kg only so effectively you have to tank up the CNG every 150kms???

A CNG bikes seems like a practical thing, but gives the long queues at the filling station for both cars and Autos, it can be really annoying. And if this CNG bike or any other starts getting traction, it will only get worse as no of two wheels will any day trump the 3/4 wheelers. That said, I think it good for people who do a lot of commuting, the savings will make a considerable difference and asking price isn't as steep as an EV too. One of the things I liked about the review was realistic fuel efficiency numbers. Yes, may be over 90 is achievable but given our traffic conditions, it wont be easy. So 75-80 seems to be the more reasonable figures and anything above that will be a bonus.

I myself used one of my friends Platina 100(2018) to test its fuel efficiency it gave me an unexpected 88kmpl in city! Think about how high cng would return!

@@avishekchakrabarty2560 I am not saying it won't return. It probably will. My point is everyone has a different riding style and traffic conditions matter a lot. Even if the engine is capable, one MAY not be able to extract it. But 75-80 should be very easy to achieve considering its that efficient. And that itself is good, anything more is a bonus.

it will be hit or miss , all these eyes are initial hype , 1,30,000 is ok but 1,50,000 nah not worth it a single bit
