"Torn Notebook" by Claes Oldenburg & Coosje van Bruggen

This monumental sculpture on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus reflects the artists' process of sketching ideas in notebooks, ripping out the pages that don't work and tearing up the notebook when they're done. The words cut into the pages are just some of the ideas Oldenburg and van Bruggen considered during their visits to Nebraska.
