These features are amazing, great work expressLRS team! Also an excellent reminder for those who can to head over and donate whatever they can to do it - I just sent them $10. ELRS is saving me a good amount per-model and this dev work is worth it.

I'm a very happy Happymodel ELRS user, since V2.0. I use their 1-watt module and EP2 receivers. Going to V3.0 was a big improvement in performance. Glad to see the binding situation is better sorted. Regardless the manufacturer, ELRS is as good as it gets.
As cheap as ppl have been selling used Crossfire rxs I might have to start buying ELRS. Software keeps moving forward like a freight train..✌️✌️

I have not gotten into this hobby yet, however seeing such a great open source dev community to support it is great!

Does this mean that we can expect the Radiomaster Gemini module to be released soon? ... not that I don't have the betafpv module, already, of course.. but, you know - Radiomaster!!

I just want dual band gemini don't care who makes it but, I'd actually prefer Happymodel. They've always been good for me and they're the cheapest, plus they were the first company to believe in ELRS so I have a soft spot for them.
@@thirtythreeeyes8624 I get ya, but that betafpv module is impressive and inexpensive, for what it is.
@@thirtythreeeyes8624 I'm actually not seeing any benefit to the dual band if the packet rate is locked at 150hz... why not just use 900mhz only, in that case.
Mostly what I want is a quality gemini module with TCXOs.
I'll stick to bind phrase, but it's great to have more options
FINALLY! Easier Binding. I like being able to bind with the button on the receiver ... just like FrSky XM+.... Thank You. I also like the CRSF OTA option. Now we are getting somewhere. NO more binding phrase if we don't want to.
Why? Bind phrase is much easier than finding some tiny button somewhere on Rx inside the model. Frsky is XM+ crap. And I don't mention Frsky firmware mess
You still need to set binding phrase at least on the Tx module
@@chorchecze All things are relative including crap. Might be for you, but not for me. I have never had any issues with the XM+. It just works and is fine for the distances (short) that I fly.
I always bind my receivers BEFORE mounting them in the quad and don't bury them inside the craft. Placement is key, put it where you can reach it. I only have one that is integrated, still, not an issue.
@@EndyMuhardin Well, that would be unfortunate. It should not ever be necessary to flash a module to get it to work.
@@buddyadkins2432 my bad. I just read the documentation. It said that when we don't specify binding phrase, it will just generate random value as the phrase. You can then bind using lua script, rx button, or betaflight configurator.

I wish if I bound it through my controller it gives it the binding phrase all my quads have.

ExpressLRS devs are absolutely machines. I think we have seen more improvement to radio links in 5 years then the last 25, including the last two big changes when DSM arrived in mid 2000s, and open source transmitters. I am really curious to try the new 900/2.4 link when hardware becomes available.

Gemini dual band...sometimes dreams do come true
wasn't sending packets on 900mhz and 2.4ghz a feature of crossfire and thats why it had such amazing range? seems like geminiX is following suit if I got that right
updated BetaFPV Tx 1W to 3.4 and on web UI it shows version as KC-domain ? same with a matek R24-S Rx
It didn't copy the binding phrase into the RX via first binding?
to also bind to my other radio i have to go to the web interface?

Good morning Ian, i have a question..maybe off topic but still.. i installed an ER8 RX on my copter , and use the Yaapu script on my RM TX16S mk2, have my 6 flight modes under 2 switches, using MP as GCS..seems to work fine.. i'll take off in 'Stabilize' (MP tel's me the right flight modes..), but my Yaapu tel's me i am in 'ALTCTL' this goes on by every flight mode i choose, when i switch to POSHOLD, Yaapu tel's me i'm in ACRO mode, etc, etc, How can i change this? I've updated all the necessary things on my TX.. but still.. need some help with this..

For anyone whos looking into getting the betafpv gemini module. Its such a game changer. Its has the strongest rc link money can buy. Highly recommended! I set up the buttons on the back to increase rf power while im in the air. Im running a D250hz packet rate and with gemini it's putting out 8 repeat packets on 6 different frequencies. Needless to say the rc link is unmatched. My Lq doesnt move from 100. I fly the 03 air unit and am confident i can out fly the video link 5 times over.
meanwhile I bought 2 of those and it just does not work, drop out of the sky every other battery, does not reconnect etc.

ELRS didn't invent easy binding. Binding was easy before ELRS. they just took it away, and then gave it back again. I do love the Mavlink connectivity and increases in performance. Will be great for seeing Mavlink commands at distance. :) Great video, explains a lot. I think I'll wait for the new hardware.
What was easy on holding button on Rx and plugging a battery at same time? Put a Bind phrase into firmware from Configurator during update is much easier way to do it. Or over WiFi. No need to revert to that legacy button style binding for boomers
@@chorchecze so you want to use a computer push a button for you? and have a home wifi network, and all this stuff just so you don't tire out your finger? ha ha . Well now we can both have our way. Now wonder the newer generation is so helpless. Ever changed a car tire? or do you just get on an app and call a boomer to do it for you?
@@FPVREVIEWS No, I only not see a reason to do simple things more complicated. Everybody has a wifi at home today and outside you network, it will automatically fallback to wifi AP mode. And almost everybody have a smartphone to simply configure the gear. Passphrase/wifi updates was a great improvement, but most "boomers" didn't get it. Don't wanna to get my drones apart to access some stupid button 😀
@@chorchecze yea, well that is why they made the feature. It is good to have a way to do things with no access. By the way, when you say "everybody", you mean everybody of your age group, in your country, in your economic bracket or above. because only about half of the world's population have access to the internet.
