      I've been swinging in a past relationship. That kinda behavior would have been totally unacceptable.
      People having kids in the lifestyle doesn't take it home if they have children. They go out (clubs, events, whatever) ... But you never make your underage kids second priority or let them know about it.

      Absolutely. These parents are unfit and neglecting him, exposing him to an unhealthy environment, parading strangers through the house, etc. If his brother suggested that, the younger one needs to find other support as he gets older. He may really need the caller to stay in his life and help him.

Also, if the couple prioritzes swinging over their own child, and decides that locking him in his room is the way to do things, they definitely need to STOP and get some counselling until they can properly take care of their child.

    Their was a story on reddit recently my buddy sent me about a son who was like 23 who cut contact with his parents bc back when he was 16 they started leaving him for weekends to go to swinger parties. He told them not to reach out to him unless its an emergency and if he has kids with his gf, her parents will take priority and he wants nothing to do with them, and despises them for putting their sexual needs ahead of a relationship with him that he kept trying to have until he finally went away to college and escaped. While they can do what they want if they want to put their sexual partying ahead of their children she will wake up one day and realize they don't want them in their life.

    This is the problem in America today. People don’t want to be judged but at the same time they can’t keep their private lives to themselves. Then they complain that they’re oppressed and act like we’re the bad guys. Not our fault they’re so insecure with themselves that they have to seek out approval for everything they do even when they already know the people they’re hoping to get it from would never. Then that makes us the bad guys somehow. It’s pitiful.

    Some things to consider. Exodus 20:14, 1 Corinthians 7:2-5, Proverbs 6:32, Hebrews 13:4. The world we live in will be for a short time. Heaven and hell both are eternal. I only have the short lifetime to decide which place we want to spend eternity in so it’s best for us to put some time into prayer for wisdom and discernment of how we’re living our lives. If we hope to be with God has a way he wants us to behave is it easy no. But we are a work in progress please speak out forgiveness from Jesus and ask for him to help you to change your lives.

  • @BW022
    @BW022 11 місяців тому +2

    My advice...
    1. Talk to the rest of the family (grandparents, his side of the family, etc.). Make sure they all know and are willing to step in and help the callers nephew.
    2. Make sure your nephew has a cell phone and everyone's contact information. Make sure he can call any of you at any time. Consider giving him a prepaid credit card so that he can get an uber, cab, etc. food, etc. in emergencies. Likewise, have CPS', the police, neighbor's, etc. numbers available to him.
    3. Spend as much time with him. Other family members also. Take him on vacations with your kids.
    4. Have the extended family setup a fund for him. Not just for college, but expect when he turns 18 (or possibly even sooner) that he may need to leave. The marriage could easily fail, he could easily be leaving on bad terms, etc. Personally, I'd talk with both sets of grandparents and consider having them take any inheritance they were thinking of giving to their daughter/son and having it available to the kid at 18.
    5. He is 12, so old enough to have a serious talk -- his parent's lifestyle, he'll need to protect himself from it, we're here for you, make plans so you can leave, etc., etc.
    6. Limit your contact with your sister and her husband. Unless it involves the boy, there is no need to by talking with them. Don't cut contact as that would likely result in the kid being cut off from you.
