It is a brilliantly executed Mass film. It needs that much run time to establish and give a complete justification to the characters. It is a well made commercial cinema. There is no lag at all. Understand the pacing of the film, stop telling lag for everything. IT'S A FANTASTIC FILM.

Let me tell you one thing I didn’t watch a lot of movies because of Barbell and disliked a bunch of them after his review. If you want to like at least one movie a year then never take barbell seriously, he tries to find logic in stupidest things, his attention span is that of a 2 year old, and he ruins the experience of ever watching a movie ever again. Right now I’ve started viewing cinema as an art and couldn’t help but appreciate good cinema. This movie is worth watching, he beautifully explains why anger should be used to empower people and not fear them, the visuals and music are also really good.

This is for the people who are assuming this guy might be right,no he is not. If you are comparing priyankas character with puri films then that just shows how less attention you are giving to the movie in the theatres. Barbells reviews are mostly good and accurate but his reviews on vivek athreya movies (this and ante sundaraniki) are not correct at all. The background scores of jakes bejoy were completely synchronized and properly blended in the film with the high moments and was not overexploited at all. And if you think the saturday hitting concept does not make sense then my brother you have missed the first 20 mins of the film i assume. The backstory behind the template of hitting on saturdays is properly justified. And if you think nani does not speak the right things about his movies on its marketing then bro do your research,i will tell you why, nani in an interview for this film said that vivek is gonna make the screeplay intriguing which is also his core strength which is absolutely true,he set up a lot of things and gave them a pay off properly and he said SJ suryiahs character is the character audience are gonna love seeing on the screen and it is rightfully so. Nani also said during an event of hi nanna that audience are gonna love yashanas character and that turned out to be true,that shows the clarity and execution of nani in his filmography. Priyankas character charulatha had importance in the film and she was not some flowerpot role and comparing her with puri movie heroines is outright disgusting. And bro if you think this film is lagging then you are just not understanding the vision in which the director wants to present the film. The director vivek always had this kind of pattern in his screenplay even with the previous film so this is not a lag movie,this just shows your lack of patience while watching a film. This is a very unique and engaging commercial film which cannot be pulled off by everyone and you sure must give it a try in the theatres. Now coming to your point about overshadowed red colour representation,bro i dont think you pay much attention in the film but this is the theme of the film throughout,just for your knowledge since you dont have much, it is called representation of films and characters through colours. Idk the exact term they use but in the film there is one scene where nanis character is holding a pencil which is half blue and half red,with that the director has explained everything about the character. Surya is a complete different person who has anger issues and beats up people on saturdays and that's represented with red and the other days he is a kind and responsible guy who does not get into fights and thats represented with blue and that depicts the layers and shades the character is having. Coming to the last thing you mentioned that how does he tackle with situations which are not on saturdays and again since you didnt pay much attention,that is clearly shown to in the starting where he runs away from the people even tho he and his family gets hit by the people sometimes. This is just review made out of pure absense of attention and laziness. You needed to write all this on a paper to just give out a lazy review and for debunking your whole video thru this comment i didnt need to write all this on paper because i actually watched the film with full attention and observed it.

Dont listen to this guy cause he doesn't know what he is saying at this point and watch the movie

I watched this review right after it’s posted. I dint watch the movie by then.
I went to the movie yesterday but back of my mind I was expecting laag in second half as you mentioned.
guess what, in reality I actually liked the movie and dint feel the laag as well.
As a cine lover I will watch the movie irrespective of the reviews if I like the trailer but here after I decided I will first watch the movie first and later watch any reviews just to save my movie experience.
This also made me realize why these producers are worried about reviews right after the release. sometimes it does affect the movie experience. May be the producers are not completely wrong here.

To be honest, i have not felt any new elemets in this movie except for a few laughs and "sanivaram" concept, even that concept they didn't go deep enough and made something interesting and engaging. Screenplay was predictable and failed to engage.
Could've been a shorter and nice screenplay, and would've mde it more engaging.
