A guy that really helped the conservative vice lords get most of those grants initially was a guy named David Dawley. He was basically the first white vice lord he was from our east and was an ex peace corps member. Other gangs like the stones, were able to follow suit shortly thereafter. He was interested in helping the CVL achieve many of the goals they spoke about and guided them to use the white man's game and hustle to their advantage. I think many times his contribution is minimized and overlooked. As a white guy who used to hang with some lords back in the day myself he was someone I admired along with Bobby Gore and some others.

A sociology professor of mine claimed to be a white honorary VL. He was also a Green Beret; very interesting guy. He also devised a course on Chicago Gangs

He’s clearly a Chicago specialist. I’m guessing he was with the law too.

So insane hearing and seeing my old stomping grounds as a kid being explained on a huge scale like when I was a kid an recruitment was thick as hell i remebr you couldn’t even have this artwork anywhere near you or it could get you in some stuff like if you were a kid an you wore a Sacramento kings jersey you best be ready to explain to alot of mfs an why you wearing a KING jersey even if you don’t know a thing about bangn.. false flagn an colors use to be so scary to wear at time in Chicago people have no idea how real it really was an is, like the wrong hat titled the wrong way wearing the wrong colors could get you killed

Yeah it was treacherous.. it was best not to wear any sports gear. Especially starter jackets. Ya had to make sure your hat was totally straight. Lol or someone would walk up and say “spit your lit!” Or try to shake up.

I've always heard King Kato pronounced as Kay-toe. Just going off other other youtube channels and documentaries. Love the content though. Keep it up 👍

Good day brother. I enjoy watching your videos and i like how you explain things. I was born and raised in the little village area and still live here. As a young boy i was always interested in gang culture and the graffiti so my order is placed for the book. I will enjoy reading it. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!

Because a lot of shit he’s saying is not accurate!! The streets know the real history but you got to be at least 45 and up because this generation doesn’t know shit about know street organizations!! They just calling their selves VL’s or souls or BD’ because that what the neighborhood has been for decades!! Most of these street organizations out in the RAQ now are Renegade s!! Click shit!!

You should do the Inland Empire, Orange County, and San Diego County in California (your series of videos about LA County was very interesting and accurate) when you are done with Chicago, as there are MANY old varrios in those areas, and even a few that have real close ties to the Mexican Mafia, like Onterio Varrio Sur. Your channel is VERY educational about the gangs.
