Hi guys
I had a great time working with a fantastic team at McDonald's UK. It's so easy to apply for a job there and it was really inspiring to hear from the staff about how they have developed in their career by working there. I hope you guys enjoy the video and let me know what you think in the comments below! 🙌
OliWhiteVlogs Hi Wasup Funny Vid
Hi Oli
Hey oli
@@cheesetoastie2142 Hey 🧀🍞
Well done oli great effort
I got a job at McDonald’s as well oli. The difference is I was treated like shit, got abuse from customers and earned barely £5 an hour. I get that younger people might want to work at McDonald’s but don’t give your fans false hope they need to know what working is actually like
Actually mcdonald crew job is shit, pay less word hard like a machine.
So out of touch can’t even start to explain it
I worked at McDonald's nearly a year ago and I can assure you, it is hands down the worst job I ever worked. The managers were appalling. The training was practically non-existent.The way we were treat was borderline abusive. They took advantage of the fact that the majority of the staff were young teens who did not know their employee rights, but as a law student, I knew my rights and confronted them about it. When I confronted them, they played dumb (unless they were just genuinely stupid, which would not surprise me) and claimed the McDonald's policy backed them up. However, the policy that they claimed to have backed them up was contradictory to government policy. So the next day, I printed out the relevant polices, brought them in and quit (followed by an extensive complaint to HR and the boss) To anyone considering working at McDonald's, only do it at an absolute last resort.
I’ve worked there too and it was an absolute nightmare. Hated every second of it
Non existent training, damn so accurate. And then the managers ask you to do something that you haven’t been trained for and you’re supposed to know it already and you don’t so it’s a constant cycle of the crew MEMBERS training other crew members instead of crew TRAINERS or managers teaching you shit lmao
Alfie Deyes: No one can be more out of touch than me.
Oli White: Hold my overpriced shite t-shirts
🤣🤣
I bet you weren’t paid minimum wage for making this video
i bet the people in this video didnt see a cut of the money
@@_peepee_ damn..
Sadly, this video is sponsored by McDonald's
McDonald’s actually pays more than any other fast food place out there ❤
@SkaterPranksTv It's still not a living wage especially in the state that I live in.
As a 17 year old who works at McDonald’s, it’s not fun mate
Annabel Ostell I used to work there, I left as I was being sick before my shift for ages
Fun if you get paid thousands for doing f*ck all!
If you don't enjoy it then quit. You're only 17 it's not like your life depends on it. I'm 22 and I used to work there but I quit after a month because of how depressed it made me. Honestly, it's not worth it.
Zoe Pelekanis yeah sometimes I think about it, it’s just so convenient because it’s basically next door, I’m thinking of waiting until I just leave next year for uni however, because the whole stress of getting another job doesn’t seem worth it to not be there that long
It is if you get paid in the 5 figure range for one days work to con poor 14 to 16 year Olds I into thinking it's a good career
as a former McDonald's worker
this is disgusting, and working there is like having your soul sucked from your being
So I wouldn't be ideal for someone with schizophrenia and a really short temper ?
(I'm Talking about me, as I need to watch what jobs I pick, according to my therapist and doctor, so if it's abuse and constant crap... Then it's probably not going to work at all)
the shit poster grower It definitely wouldn’t be ideal for you. The constant noise is stressful enough, but you also have people constantly shouting different things at you, which can be really overwhelming. You also have to deal with some annoying and sometimes quite nasty people, including customers who complain about anything they can to try and get a refund or free food. They talk to you as if you’re not human. It’s unlikely you’ll be working with anyone who enjoys the job either, so they’ll probably be miserable most of the time and will take it out on you by criticising everything you do. If you have a short temper, you’ll struggle to deal with this, as well as the rude customers.
I haven’t worked at McDonald’s myself, but this is what I’ve heard from people who have.
I don’t work for Maccies (I work for Five Guys) however this is so patronising in the way he treats crew members and work workers of the fast food business.
So true just look at 9:19 how he patronised on the job she has
What a tragic human
Who’s here after jackmate?
mate you're not convincing anyone
This is so patronising
This guy really got paid more just to do this video alone than I did in the whole 2 years I worked at McDonald’s as manager
Did I just watch a millionaire cosplay as a working class citizen?
I’m not fishing for sympathy here at all just trying to give anther perspective. I’m a 16 year old girl who goes to college and then works part time at McDonald’s most Saturdays and Sunday’s and then some weekdays on the night after college aswell. I do this just to support my family and get us by and to me this is disgusting, it’s not a joke to some people and the fact that he’s making it one just shows how privileged and out of touch he is.
Charlotte E fuck off 🤣 hes just getting paid to do an ad
Get_ Shrekd_ exactly and it’s ridiculous that he’s acting as if it’s real easy and fun because it’s not, you clearly don’t understand but it really does make a mockery of people who work hard every single day
I’d like to see him work full shifts for a whole week in McDonald’s then see how he feels about it. Can’t tell if his excitement is just pure positivity/ out of touch millionaire or fake for the brand deal.... not saying there’s anything wrong with working in McDonald’s he just seemed extremely patronising and I wonder if that would last a full week.
You’re right, and I’d love to see him not only working there for a full week, but working there all week for minimum wage whilst being treated like crap like the real McDonald’s employees do, rather than earning thousands of pounds and have everyone being nice to him for a couple of hours
This guy reminds me of how politicians try to look interest in factory jobs.
so out of touch, never knew mcdonald’s was such an operation.. what a joke
This video pisses me off, he's getting paid more for this one video then a lot of those workers will get in half a year probably.
Disgusting how much ur belittling McDonald’s workers...this is there job and ur just doing it as a joke no caring because u get to go home to ur mansion
Belitting? You mean the way he celebrated the guys 4 stars, hyped the roles of the staff, thanked the staff for their help and made them seem noticed?
Or are you just coming from Charlies video 1 second in and thought you were doing something? here
@joetri10 Charlie's video was 1 year ago this comment was 4 years ago so good one
Kinda weird to see a millionaire get excited to work at an under paid job
He is young. Inflation will eat him alive slowly throughout his life. He needs the work experience
WOAH GUYS LOOK AT ALL THE POOR PEOPLE AROUND ME THIS IS SO EXCITING
hahaha
I work there, this is a false image of what’s it like to work there, we rarely get a break, there’s no protective equipment when doing the grill or chicken batch, so therefore we get lots of burns and we aren’t allowed to go put ice on them we must get on with it. Also if there’s knowone available to cover you, you must keep on working, managers don’t treat you well.
I think ur lying u cheeky boy
I also work there but my managers are alright but when I work on fries or hash browns I burn myself and I get on with it cos it’s not that bad
Stanley Potts nope he’s right I worked in McDonald’s last year and it’s insane how unsafe certain things are, I still have scars from burns.
“Flipping the odd burger here and there” I can’t fathom how someone can be that patronising and out of touch.
He’s should know better. And I can’t wait for the desperate apology video, pleading with his viewers.
aah i remember my time at mcdonalds, having to clean up projectile vomit off of the mens, getting told i should go kill myself because didnt have milkshakes for 5 minutes, The car setting alight in a packed carpark. And who could forget the guy that got stabbed in the loos then bled all over the counter
such a good laugh that was, get a job at maccas kiddos, you get to hear alexa make the funny mcdonalds noise haha
So much bs he’s probably been paid more to do this than an employee is paid in 6 months
Joe Gibbs truers in chat
c bodde shut up
Bro why he bullshiting
As an employee at McDonald’s there is no probably about it 😂
As someone who used to work here... It's far from plain sailing. Try a night shift on a Saturday night with creepy men who hit on you while they film you for a funny Instagram story.
He'll be doing this with more shit jobs like call centres next 😂
Hey, so what you doing later? ;)
Jaack Maate is gonna have a field day
Imagine being this out of touch with reality
Out of touch
@Oscar Saunders Oscar*
Out of time
This video is an absolute joke. So patronising! I bet all the employees slagged you off as you left!
You wouldn't be smiling so much if you had to do this for a living every day
@Dax Stotser I worked there earlier this year
@Dax Stotser I work at Maccies as well. Not a bad job but it's bloody tiring to be up for 8 hours
This is the most cringe bullshit ever. If you weren't paid to do this, you wouldn't step within a mile of a McDonald's job application.
How are you this out of touch with your fan base?? UA-cam millionaires really do live in their own privileged bubble.
This Olly kid is a different story. He obviously has never had a job in his life - the kid thought the hair nets were to protect his hair..
He was born into some privileged family and learnt about the amazing world of UA-cam and is now making millions, which add on to the million which his father left him!
I wished you actually tried, I think you would have found it challenging and learned to appreciate people who work at McDonalds
McDonald’s staff were so kind and lovely to put up with such an annoying youtuber pestering them with silly and cringy comments
The employees are so done with him you can tell
Can easily see why, he's an absolute melt
That’s right; pretend to work at McDonald’s, get paid loads of money for it even though you’re worth a fortune, to mock people who actually have to work there for a living. Genius
The commentary community will come for you (imalexx)
Just wait till JaackMaate gets a hold of this.
@@joshm3059 trust meeeee fam 😂😂
Leon B you love to see it
U didn’t even work a full shift. Stop trying to encourage us to work there when ur getting paid thousands to do a brand deal
i think the worst part about this is that he definitely got paid more for this ad than the staff members make in a year
the whole time i’m thinking are you taking the mick or...?
I preferred Jackmaates version
Noah Halton JaackMaate got more views aswell
Dominic Cecere and
Dominic Cecere this is his vlog channel
James still had more subs than Jaackaate at the time. Just embarrassing that a video about a video got more views than the actual video 🤣😂
Dominic Cecere that done make sense
I loved working here got two massive burns from hot oil on my arm and they didn’t even care xx
Theodora Bundy same!! Now i have a scar forever that will remind me that i had to ever work there...
Not gonna lie oli I think you’ve had enough macdonalds
Just sooo insincere, out of touch and ignorant...if he really had 'a great time' working there, then why not just apply for real? No one's stopping you mate, you can go and fulfill your dream. There's obviously nothing wrong with working at a fast food place, it's just what people do, it's a normal job. At the very least he could step up his acting game A BIT. Zero effort. Cheers for great content
👏👏👏👏
Videos like this from ‘famous people’ annoy me basically mocking people’s actual jobs
Scott Gallagher not really he’s said how hard and stuff it was
Finally someone speaks sense around here
@@charliewil4473 True, but I don't really think he should be promoting a job he's never worked in.
This is a seriously disappointing video and I'm sorry to see that this is what you've become. Getting paid tens of thousands of pounds whilst talking to the employees as if they're lucky to be with you. It's obvious they all hated being with you because of how patronising you were being. I hope in future you think about what you promote instead of thinking about how much you're being paid to promote it.
Please stop being so fake Ollie.
Damn, this is low. They look annoyed and I feel so bad for them putting up with overly privileged behavior.
Who else has come to watch this video after watching JaackMaate?
MX _ Razor meeeee
I work at McDonald’s and it’s shit. The workers aren’t aloud to say that it’s bad so they get forced to say it’s good😂
Toby Cazeaux mate same
Don't worry I work for roadside assistance and if the members don't buy something I get reprimanded. I should not be responsible for their decisions.
Chuck Maddison woooooow, that’s bull
Wow, you have the platform to do so much good for the youth of today, and this is what you come up with??? Working at McDonalds is not a day at a theme park, people do it to put basic food on the table - shame on you.
This is the mostly dystopian thing I've ever seen
If getting a job at McDonald's is your dream come true then go do it full time and stop making dross like this
The fact that this video has more likes than dislikes is so depressing
Used to binge watch you, Joe, Caspar, and other peoples videos. Hate that Oli turned out like this.
Agreed
They all like this
They're all the same and they haven't changed. You just grew up and matured more
except for Joe I think, he's the most genuine of them all, he would never upload a video like this cause he knows his audience.
Who’s come here from jaackmaates UA-cam video?
That’s not how it works. There’s a bunch of online stuff to do first before u go into kitchen
This is the only job you would get if you didn’t do UA-cam oli
You can tell you have never had a proper job before ...
As a McDonalds employee this is only the tip on the iceberg when it comes to being a crew member!! Just wait till you get customers screaming and throwing burgers at you !
I was with a friend one night in McDonald's when it got ugly . I mean real ugly. A customer requested to use the loo, but because the restaurant was near closing time , he was refused. An argument broke out, which resulted in said customer tearing the security door to the kitchen clean off its hinges like tissue paper. He then checked himself grabbed his food and walked out still swearing and abusing the staff. Happened within spitting distance of Downing street. Now if I could get him to do that to no. 10.....hee hee.
Still trying to figure which video is worse, this video or the Alfie Deyes £1 video
Lily Madison 100% the Alfie Days one. “I’m going to live on £1 a day if you ignore the massive shopping spree I could have literally done on any other day”
This
@@sheslying7117 Alfie Deyes by a long shot
Came to watch people roast this man in the comments.
Now talk about unionization
'You know how much i love money'
The real Mcdonalds experience is watching the manager have a mental breakdown at the staff in front of the customers.
As someone who has worked at McDonald's, this is ridiculous. I get the message that's trying to be told behind it, but it's nothing like this. You got more training in this video than I did in two months. It's a terrible place to work. There's constant being shouted at, screamed at most times. You're selling the dream and it's far from it
nat ellis so true. I used to work at McDonald's and it made me the most depressed I've ever been in my life.
@@ZoePele1997 this is so true, the same happened to me.
he's so happy to be making mcflurries and burgers, try making them constantly for an 8 hour shift, 5 days a week and then see how amazing it is. I get that people do enjoy working there but he's making out like it's the best job in the world, this coming from a millionaire
nat ellis exactly 😴 and he gets to go home back to his sweet apartment after only about an hour of being there. try working long hours and burning yourself on the grill over 100 times and be told you have to keep going. the managers don’t even care about you. he wouldn’t know what that feels like so he should stop putting up a front.
@@ZoePele1997 exactly!!!! People have no idea!!
Another example of a youtuber completely out of touch and only concerned for the cheque
I'm surprised theres not more dislikes lmao
Why?
Stop pretending like this Job is all fun and easy. Many people hate this job and get paid so little money but they have no choice. You're probably getting paid thousands to do this video and it shows how out of touch you are with your viewers. I am unsubscribing. extremely disappointed
Cringe. They blatantly all slagged you off after you left. Patronising
This was bearable to watch until he served his brother. That shit was so cringeworthy 😭😂 he’s definitely out of touch and focusing on money and trying to be “funny”, but he’s just come across and cringe and ignorant.
This is the biggest slap in the face to service workers ive seen in a while, keeping this video up is the same as you standing in front of the camera saying "i don't respect what you service workers do and this is all a game to me"
so, were you on the £6 an hour that most workers are on? or were you paid the complete equivalent sum of every worker on shift working their asses off for 9+ hours... whilst you watched a guy make a big mac and claim the work as your own? the like to dislike ratio is complete whack on this, it’s so out of touch with reality.
Defo got payed at least £5K for the sponsorship
I work at McDonalds on £6 an hour and am a Customer Care Assistant, because I do the cleaning and stuff on the lobby. I'm supposed to get the customer care payrise when I finish some training programme but they keep putting it off because they don't want to pay me more!
A Google User i worked at mcdonald’s for 2 years and was on £6.50 when i left... i’m amazed at how this guy doesn’t realise it’s a literal job and not just a fun lil quirky way of making burgers
Dislikes incoming
Imagine having Mcdonald's pay you more than their own employees to work for a couple of hours. Sad
Its because hes kinda promoting the behind the scenes. Which will make kore people wanna work there
@@ItsDume lol she gets that obviously we all get that. Are you 12.
7:33 “it’s almost like dispensing golf balls” the most out of touch comparison I can think of
Lmao seriously. Just gloating that he's rich enough to go to a country club
Jesus if this is what money does I’m happy without.
Good thing for Oli that his UA-cam career took off cos he looked absolutely useless in the real world
You really did end your career with this, wow...
McSellout
Oli you've had an absolute shocker here, very disappointing. I can't understand what part of this video seemed like a good idea at all?! I hope you took all the staff there out for a meal or something with your paycheque as a thank you, although they probably never want to see you again after you've totally patronised and looked down your nose at them, you can tell by their faces and body-language that they don't like you and I would be extremely embarrassed if I was you. It's sad to see someone in such a privileged position as yourself use this platform and your popularity in this way....I am absolutely mind-boggled why 6.2k people have clicked "like"...
MCDONALD'S PAID HIM FOR THIS 🤣🤣🤣
ive been rejected by mcdonlds 4 time and he can just ask his amazon alexa for a job
That's because it's a brand deal with McDonald's 😂😂😅
I’ve worked at McDonald’s and it’s nothing like you’re portraying it to be. stop lying to your younger audience!
This video is a prime example of why we need to see the dislikes
7.7k dislikes on it right now.
there's an extension for that
“THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED…” he was paid more for working there for half a day than a real McDonald’s employee would earn in months, that’s what happened!
All i got from this video was you taking another possible worker's spot in employment all because you wanted to make a video...
imagine crashing in kitchen and you’ve got a man with a camera getting in the way and oli white just yelling about how fun it is
An 18 minute ad? UA-cam really pushes it
Cheap ass get out ur parents basement and get a job... 7.99 for premium
This is a guy that has never had to work a day in his life...
Tone-deaf millionaires never change, huh?
Millionaire?
Pure cringe.
This is the most disgusting, vile propaganda I've seen in a while. You should be incredibly ashamed of yourself, but I know you're not capable of feeling shame.
