Great play agad.i have reached 2100 in online chess playing from lockdown just because of you .Thanks a lot for your wonderful analysis.Have a great day !
@@arsenalfanrichidude first of all, it s probably rapid and it s absolutely possible, i only watched some youtube opening studies (completely useless for actual chess strenght but i enjoyed it) and i solved some tactics over time but really few to consider it a training and my rapid lichess elo peak was 2232 which isn t impressive but still, vers possible with very little effort
We said we would like to see more of your games and you made it happen again so soon, thank you so much for the huge inspiration all there years. One of your earliest subscribers 🤗
I subbed just after the 100K subscriber party live stream. Antonio never disappoints. And the subscribers like you offer great content in the comments. Thanks and best wishes from Tennessee.
Just wanted to write and say thank you for your wonderful content. As a chess player, your videos and commentary are not only entertaining but also educational. Your analysis helps us understand the complexities of this beautiful game. Many thanks for your work and insight.❤
After watching this video i realize how strong this quote from Bobby Fischer is "I don’t believe in psychology. I believe in good moves" when facing opponent that stronger than me i often question my moves as blunder or not even though i know the move is good one in the first place, i really can feel and relate with agadmator on this video
I would like to thank you expressly for your work, with which you save many treasures of chess from oblivion. I hope that at some point your channel will be recognised by chess federations and that you will receive some kind of official honour. P.S.: The Colle-system is a frequently played position, because many players want to avoid the confusing variety of variations of the Indian or Slavonic systems. In the transition to the middle game, however, many make the mistake of trying to somehow wring a win out of this balanced opening through unclear ideas. This is also the case here with the queen move to a6., which you then immediately punished! Good work;-)!
Congrats Antonio. It was a solid game. Human, understandable moves, not engine nonsense, like if you play a move, you have to have a 20 moves plan ahead to capitalize later.
Obi Wan Kenobi: "It´s over Antonio, i have the high ground" Agad: "you underestimate the power of my C file!" Obi Wan Kenobi: "don´t try it" Agad: "sorry bout that" 😎
@Nolan Owensby 😊 thanks. Throughout the history of my comments on Agads channel, most are just blunders, but some (like the Evans gambit) are just winning 😉
this is so great agad! your commentary is always great but having access to the mind frame that you had during the game provides extra insight that's really interesting!
Great game! Also, I think this the first game of yours when I got both pause-the-video moments right, not just from guesses, but from calculating the results accurately...which for a chess chump like me, feels like a real achievement. I mean I was literally jumping for joy lol!
Very nice play Antonio. That position seemed like it had limited possibility for activity, but you made the most out of what you were offered. Well done
Theres an old British saying "Softly, Softly, Catchee Monkey". Saying that if you want to catch a monkey you have to make quiet moves and be patient. Sometimes used by the police to indicate if yo want to catch a clever crook, patience is the way and wait for them to make a mistake. Nicely done.
#suggestion Veselin Topalov vs Magnus Carlsen - Grand Chess Tour Paris Rapid (2016) [Spanish Game: Closed. Martinez Variation] This game features incredible strategic play by Carlsen; he slowly weakens Topalov's dark squares near his king, opens up the h-file then retreats his queen from h5 to the back rank with 33... Qh8!! Carlsen then slowly constricts White's kingside through unbelievably creative and methodical positional play - first he retreats his knight to h7 to make room for his bishop, then he plays Rfc8, and then he retreats his Queen further, to it's starting square on d8!! He exerts an incredible choke hold on Topalov's position from afar, and there is nothing Topalov can do to save his position from slowly falling apart. Carlsen then slowly maneuvers his dark square bishop from e7 to g5 to f4 until it is a fully operational monster on g3, and establishes his knight on a beautiful outpost at g5. Only 8 moves after 33... Qh3, Magnus hammers the final nail into Topalov's coffin with none other than 41... Qh3!!! again!!! With no defense to Carlsen's threats, Topalov resigns.

I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts during this game. In positions like this instead of 11.Qe2 I usually play 11.Qf3 preventing blacks Ne4 and continue by pushing my g pawn to g4-5. Isn’t that generally a better plan than Qe2 in these positions?
Your commentary on your own games has the same strength as your commentary on the old games you have studied up on: you bring us into the minds of the players. It is fine to explore engine lines in modern games but it lacks storytelling. So yea, the storytelling analysis is the best part imo.

Me reaching 900 after 3 years: 😮
what website?
You don't need to lie, Raj. You can't hit 2100 from just watching videos. You need to play a LOT and probably actually study too

Thanks a lot buddy, love from Greece!
I literally got goosebumps after realising you would take this match home. congrats my homie.
Agads style is so awesome, truly aggressive and tactical, never backing down from a challenge spotted
Love when you throw your games into the mix. Keep up the great work and thanks for increasing all of our vast knowledge

Always a pleasure to see your games Antonio. One suggestion if you could bring back #What Sorcery Is This series 😅 . #Suggestion
Agreed!
Very enjoyable and instructive to hear your thought process! Fascinating really!
Instead of Agad's Qc7 i actually found Qd7 and the Bxd4 idea. Can't believe it. I am Stockfish 😭😂

Yeah, C files can be really powerfull if they contain some malicious code and someone accidentally compiles and executes them.
What you really mean to say is, "And it was in this position, on move 25, that I CRUSHED my opponent's hopes and dreams".
Nice win!
Congratulations to both of you gentlemen. Game well played. Great job pulling through for your team Agad. I love your games. Keep on showing them.

great job antonio !!!! its almost like Tennis, where you let him make the first mistake. great analysis too !!!
Wow. Beautiful game.
Nice win Agad. I found the PTV, but you found and precalculated it OTB, most impressive.

it is probably old saying from Congo or Botswana :)
When you don't know what to play just try to find a move that will improve your position, even if it is slightly.
That's a golden rule.
I have a similar approach. I rarely play, don't over prepare, and just try to "play good chess" [the Capa plan].

Good battle, and good win here! Cheers!

A decent chunk of your move numbers/notation is wrong. To denote blacks move, put an elipse (…) before the move. Ie. 33. … Qh8

You should cover your own games regularly on the channel! Doesn't have to be like all the time but one game every few weeks or so would be great

Showing your own games is very instructive because you know yourself what your ideas were. Nice game.
Against really strong players, finding the right or best move is so exhausting! I always feel the tension dissipate after a blunder either way.
