To think that's how these masters see it, not only their game but about 10 other possibilities. Someone who doesn't know chess think wow, that was boring and uneventful. Those who know chess: damn, that was world war 2
Dang, Alice Lee has sound fundamentals in skill + great mentality and tenacity + these sparks of genius as well. Wonderful to see more young females get into chess now.
Still "only" an FM but has 2 IM norms and is closing in on the rating requirement too. Given the frequency with which she crushes GMs lately, it seems likely she'll earn some GM norms as well at some point
I would love to request that the time format of each game was placed bottom or top left on the player’s faces, feel like it would be useful in contextualising the moves.
Me: Ah yes, g5. A perfectly respectable move, chases away the knight. Cool cool cool. This 13-yo: Actually, if you calculate 20 moves into the future, it leads to a losing endgame.
That's why I trade everything I can possibly trade within the first 15 moves. I know I'm not going to be able to calculate what happens in 20 moves in complicated positions, so I make sure that they don't arise.

4:05 Why the light square bishop must retreat to e4? It just became a target in the line you showed, or maybe it is needed to help with the defense in g6 in the future?
Personally, I appreciated the intermediate analysis because g5 was one of the moves that occurred to me. And I find it interesting when a higher-level player explains in depth why something doesn't work. It's relevant to the analysis of the game even if it wasn't actually played.
That end position is where the use of computers is needed. Call a time out for 10 minutes and have three up to date computers do some crunching. If two out of three say there is an advantage for one side then play should continue for another 15 moves. I believe that may help to stop a great many draws.
When he says how do you stop this mate in one he does not mean it can't be delayed. Bh7 would only delay white from winning. The eval is somewhere around +11 in the position when moving Bh7.
At the top of the screen, Antonio often posts inane pseudo-profundities spoken by famous players, such as today's quote from RJF (Robert James Fischer), known to the world as Bobby: "All that matters on the Chessboard is good moves." Yogi Berra could not have done better. This raises (not "begs") the question: was Bobby Fischer an ironist?
Agad takes us on longgggg Imaginary journey 😂😂😂
I thought we would end up at mount Doom at the end of that line.

Saw Irina give some very nice tutorials on Lula Rob’s channel! She’s a very good teacher! 👏👏

“Females” lol
Need more female in bricklayering
Excited by Alice Lee’s success! Love to see Irina in action! 👏👏👏
Ending on move 32 with a three fold rep is as pleasing as a checkmate on move 64.
Wow! I seriously doubt even Magnus could've calculated that win for Alice there. I'm glad we have the engine to show us such insane lines.
13 years old, my god! She is going to become a very strong grandmaster.

It's always a wild game when both players have more pieces than pawns.
It's a nightmare for me. So hard to see everything.
What's your opinion of chessino formerly choker? I keep complaining to them that they don't have enough pawns.
That's some impressive chess for a 13-year-old.
I would love to request that the time format of each game was placed bottom or top left on the player’s faces, feel like it would be useful in contextualising the moves.
He already does that...the R, B, or C above the robot in the bottom right stands for Rapid, Blitz, or Classical, respectively.
@@jacobpope9269 True, but here I acidentally left R when in fact it's a classical game. But indeed, I do that
@@jacobpope9269 ah brilliant thanks!
@@agadmator no problem, thanks for confirming
@@jacobpope9269 thanks for telling. I didn't know it. I always had this question in mind.
Agadmator 's analysis is unparalleled.
Cover the 4th game of Magnus of yesterdays late title tuesday, against Daniel Dardha, that one was wild!

Why is g5, a seemingly an innocent move, so complicated holy shit haha
Me: Ah yes, g5. A perfectly respectable move, chases away the knight. Cool cool cool.
This 13-yo: Actually, if you calculate 20 moves into the future, it leads to a losing endgame.
@@blueberryoatmeal4009 right! The minds of these players! And most impressively of young excellent players like her.
Man these kids are awesome 😊😎
I love this channel
Absolutely love the what if lines

So that's why she didn't play g5...because she saw that twenty moves ahead, white is up two pawns. Agad that's rapid.😂
At 6:51, Stockfish 5.1 on iPhone 14 pro max rates N-B6 slightly better than R-Q1
Love your videos! Not gonna lie, I forgot that you were doing a hypothetical game hahah when it reset I was like. Oh yah
What beast this lil kiddo ❤️❤️🤣
Pretty much a snooze-fest between Hikaru and Wesley.... LOL
Nice sideline.
If your ad blocker doesn't work anymore I suggest switching videos back and forth
I gave this position to stockfish 15.1, it played differently...
5.14 isn't there a Bishop to stop the supposed mate in one
If the Bishop moves to stop checkmate, then you lose the Knight.
Wonder if Alice Lee really calculated all that and decided to move her other pawn.

Agadmator, Love ya.. I would beat you lol.. but you are by far the best
I don't believe she calculated that line all the way until the end game, but used her intuition. Sorry about that.
Imagine calculating this and in the end just being like “nah nvm”
what a game
4:05 Why the light square bishop must retreat to e4? It just became a target in the line you showed, or maybe it is needed to help with the defense in g6 in the future?
Your pawn on e7 will hang if you do any other move, and that pawn is essential in defense of f6 square
😊
RIP Medo
1:55 what's the idea behind this move?
The actual game is covered from 0:00 to 3:20 and 9:00 to the end
its not from 9:00 to the end because theres noticable blinking going on from 9:25 to 9:27 and then he even pause at 9:31 to 9:33 to breathe
Personally, I appreciated the intermediate analysis because g5 was one of the moves that occurred to me. And I find it interesting when a higher-level player explains in depth why something doesn't work. It's relevant to the analysis of the game even if it wasn't actually played.
Is this RJF week for quotes?
Alice Lee will soon be a grandmaster!!
Hi! 👋👋👋
Sorry for the dumb question but who is RJF?
A chess player whose last name starts w F?
Robert James Fisher
Roger Jr Federer

Lebron James Junior
hello from crio

OK, so the lines after G5 were for me like a new type of game that I've never seen before and have no idea what the rules are

5:14 - whats wrong rook G6 to defend the pone ?
Qxd4 wins the Bishop with check.
This game was Classical I believe, not Rapid.
5:14 bh7 ?
Bf6+
If Black trades bishops, she gets mated: ...B×f6 Qxf6+ Rg7 Qxg7#
@@blueberryoatmeal4009 this bishop doesnt exist in this moment (it would be after hg5)
@@kamil4258 Then Qxd4+, I think.
I don't understand why Irina was the one to initiate draw?
At 5:13 why is Qh6 mate in one? Black can move Bishop h7.
It's a forced mate in 3, the king cannot move, Bf6 check followed by Qf6#
When he says how do you stop this mate in one he does not mean it can't be delayed. Bh7 would only delay white from winning. The eval is somewhere around +11 in the position when moving Bh7.
@@Mantose262 I think when he ask "how do you stop...in one?" I think he didn't see Bh7. Or Can I play Qd5(after Qd6) instead of Qb8?
If anyone claims to have seen that the 20 move line, I don’t believe you
Irina too much think to defend that isolani pawn that with perfect play for black actually captured.

You geting slopy it was C not R
And I was thinking how did she calculated that line in a rapid game
She defeated a Nazi?
"So that's why she did not play g5..." because she'd calculated through to a queen and pawn lost endgame. Yeah. Funny guy.
