Even worse is that the general standing/seated tickets included a free carer ticket for the disabled HOWEVER, the same tickets marked up called in-demand had no mention in their description or title for having a career ticket. So for those that need a carer, as soon as the dynamic pricing started, they had to pay extra for their ticket AND buy a separate ticket for the carer which should have been included not to mention extra booking fees, due to this someone I know couldn’t buy a ticket for fear it wouldn’t include the carer ticket for them and then either lose out or risk going solo
I shelled out because I have money, I haven’t shelled out on an expensive iPhone or expensive car. I haven’t racked up lots of debt so this is my treat!
Put it another way. Imagine queuing overnight outside Wembley Stadium for Oasis tickets advertised at £135. You get to the front of the queue at 3pm. The person at the desk says, "The price is now £355!". There'd be a riot. They get away with it these days 'cos what's the worst angry fans can do...abuse the invisible face of TicketDisaster via social media!
It’s greed on by the tickmasters of this world a ticket price should be face value and this should be enforced by the artists who are basically ripping off their own fans
The explanation in this video of ‘dynamic pricing’ is completely incorrect. For gig tickets, ‘dynamic pricing’ is just marketing nonsense. Tickets for Oasis did not increase from €86 to €400 due to popularity. In this case, the majority of tickets were *always* going to be priced at €400. There were a small number of tickets priced at €86 - prior to tickets going on sale they publicise the €86 price and simply do not say anything about the €400 price. When the small number of €86 tickets sell out, the tickets for €400 (which are the majority of tickets) are the only ones left. Dynamic pricing for gig tickets is just a way of misleading the public about the true price of the majority of tickets. Artists determine ticket prices. Not Ticketmaster. That has always been the case. The Gallaghers’ fee for the 14 gigs is £100 million. You cannot get to that amount of money if tickets are €86 each.
Top comment. It was a smokescreen They said any profiteering on re-sale would be blocked But really they were misleading the general population. Wankers & pure Greed IMO
Dynamic Pricing is nothing new, it's been going on for too long. People aren't forced to pay for the extortionate prices, we do have the choice to walk away. This isnt just about Oasis, this gappens for far too many tours and not just stadium tours. So much talk over the years that various musicians and promoters have colluded with ticket agencies to make more money. Its nothing about demand, its purely about greed and then you have the circus around the gigs such as hotels, although that happens with sporting events too. The last government refused to do anything about this and I don't expect the current one too but ultimately, this is legal touting and the only way it will stop is if people stop paying the extortionate prices.
Liam's and Noel have been performing live since the split, both singing oasis songs, Liam's voice has been shot for the last 20 years and Noel can't even play lead guitar anymore... I don't get what the excitement is about, they've been butchering their own music regularly.
Just don't buy the tickets then, not difficult. I'd love to get Shantae Pirate's Curse on the Switch but it's £300-500. I can afford it but I just don't buy it.
People complain about the high prices of these tickets, yet if the prices were cheap and affordable to everyone - the same people would complain about not being able to get a ticket. I bet those who are moaning and complaining about the pricing would do the same thing if they were in Noel and Liams position. It's all to do with supply and demand. When something is in high demand and there's limited supply - the price goes up. Simple economics.
People who miss out on tickets (me being one of them) would probably complain about not getting a ticket. But as is with most things, most fans understand the difficulty of securing a ticket when millions of people are trying to purchase them. The main reason why people are complaining is because people waited hours and were mislead into thinking the tickets would be £150 when in fact the 'In demand' tickets were £350. It wasn't Oasis who were responsible for setting the 'In demand' price, it was the promoters who are Live Nation, who conveniently own Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster tried to pass the buck by saying the band set their own prices when in fact their parent company were responsible for that.
@knoxy6884 , the pricing is ultimately down to the Gallagher brothers. The promoters are paid to do a job. That's all. If the Gallagher's wanted the tickets to sell at £150 - they'd have the authority to sell at that price and take a smaller cut of the profits. Why would they, though? The fact that the tickets sold within hours proves that the pricing was absolutely fair. Those who thought the tickets for a historical Oasis reunion would only cost £150 are simply delusional.
What we need is another government quango that costs roughly 20 million pounds a year that does nothing funded by cuts to critical services, come on Starmer, more jobs for your liberal chums.

I find it funny how people claim to not have any money yet will shell out for Oasis or whatever concert or show gets advertised. Absolute madness
Yeah but its all on the drip. Credit card debt.
Who said that?
Ppl like things
Almost as if people need joy in their lives

It's absolutely shocking Ticketmaster got away with it
Because they can complaints mean nothing
They've been doing it and getting away with it for years
There should be stricter legislation. I won't be buying tickets
The last few minutes very informative. Really valuable

Great comment.
I saw Oasis at their peak at Knebworth in 96 for £22.50.
I wouldn't watch them for free, but this dynamic ticket pricing should be made illegal.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 Indeed my first thought actually.
You'd have to pay me 400 quids, thats if I was in the area.
I see shops like Greggs are now using dynamic pricing, I will not be going to Greggs or any other outlet that uses dynamic ( rip off ) pricing 🤨
Oasis knew about this. Ticketmaster won't jeopardise their relationship with the talent. No reaction from the Gallaghers? They knew.

Ben looks alot like Rolf Harris
The next Rolf is the one with the 'wacky' jumpers 🤮

Obviously you know absolutely nothing about music!! So I'd just not comment if I was you 😅
They would have to pay me to go to one of their concerts 😂
its all ridiculous I wait for the dvd
Government should legislate for everything apparently… can we have some personal responsibility please?
Nothing new price here and I blame the buyer. Don't buy rip off pricing tickets. Walk away. U only have yourself to blame.
Money talks and walk away.
Whats Daniella Westbrook gotta do with it?
delete all your cookies etc etc. haven't they heard of incognito mode?
If people can’t afford them then they won’t buy them.
Ticketmaster should be investigated and regulated. Taylor Swift ticket prices are just as bad.
and so was silverstone f1 dynamic pricing
Total joke and just greed
Should b the old fashioned way and que up for tickets then no companys can rip oeople of
