By the way, the Flint water scandal (7 officials) criminals had charges dropped and 'living la vida loca' like nothing happened. There is no accountability because is government's failures and government are no prone to take blame by its own failures, especially when people are suffering and in many cases dying. This country is broken from head to toes and only those in top are winning, the rest of us are everyday survivors!!

There is no one left who knows how to build and repair water treatment facilities. A year after my husband retired and they are still calling him asking how to fix or install this or that. Many of the companies that used to build them all over the country could not find anyone trained to work on the equipment so they just closed up shop.

This is why the infrastructure bill that President Biden pushed is so important. It's not only about updating our aging infrastructure, it's also about creating good jobs, good oportunities and on-the-job training. The water in St. Tammany is not only discolored, it's oftentimes so contaminated that it makes you physically ill. This has been going on for at least 8 years. The city of Covington didn't even bother to tell the residents for months after the contamination was detected. Everyone thought that a very bad stomach virus was going around and kept coming back. What do you do when you have a stomach bug? You drink more water to keep from getting dehydrated. This was happening with the water looking totally clear and clean. I see the City hasn't changed anything other than to issue boil water alerts.

Even an increase from 600 to 1000 would make a change. So it's a survival of the community that people need to be rallied, they need to enforced to discuss. With a community of 600 you can gave a meeting with the entire population every 3rd month and run the city like a single company. There are companies with more employees than the size of this town.

Places like this, will become ghost towns without major intervention and time in running out. Elderly people stay put, while the young people leave town, elderly people can't take care of it on their own, and further decline happens.
With a major recession looming for the country places like this are going to get hit hard. If those elderly people can't afford to live there they will have to move in with their kids in the cities or suburbs. Small towns like this will vanish quickly over the later half of this decade.

One is super profitable, and the other is not. In fact its better for the rich capitalist scum you worship to not fix it. It keeps the prison system, police system, court system, and military supplied with fresh meat. Besides most drool capitalist slaves would scream that you cant give poor people hand outs, just their rich non human capitalist over lords.

it shouldnt be that hard. water isnt funded with tax money its funded with water bills. take a loan out, fix it all and bill the people who are buying water. i never understood why that was such a hard concept. just add a new fee to the water bill to cover the cost.

*What you’re asking for is completely nonsensical. There is no new well, there is no way human beings can dig their way to fresh water to be used to adequately supply an entire state. The people of Louisiana are United States citizens, we citizens of thee United States pay our taxes for our water to be clean and safe to drink. The state government got Louisiana in this mess and the government is thee only way that this can be rectified. Louisiana senators and state representatives need to meet with President Biden in order to fix this. Then the people of Louisiana need to vote out all the ones that got them in this horrible turmoil from senator Steve Scalise to senator Clay Higgins and representatives Bill Cassidy and representative John Neely Kennedy and TURN THE ENTIRE STATE OF LOUISIANA BLUE.* 🗳️ 💙
