This was interesting to hear, and a nice complement to the movie. Grateful to the panel for spending their time to conduct this panel and to Cal for sharing it.

Great panel. Even better would be close-ups so we can see who is speaking.

How would the Soviets have been a 'terrible threat' if they had had the hydrogen bomb only? If they attacked the US with a hydrogen bomb, there would be retaliation using fission bombs. Besides which, the onset of nuclear winter given the size of just one bomb is inevitable. Teller versus Oppenheimer on this? Oppenheimer was correct. Teller, who stabbed Oppenheimer in the back during the hearings, always it appears felt inferior and his quest towards a hydrogen bomb was purely egotistical and paranoid I'd say. Most enjoyable and interesting panel discussion. Thanks! The name of a British-German Jewish physicist mentioned is not 'Piles', it is Rudolf Ernst Peierls. I prefer to read about Oppenheimer from the people that knew him, researched his life and the many hours of speeches he gave. Movies are always skewed
