This is the best car for a tall driver. the height from floor to top of windshield is several inches more than even the closest runner up. This allows much more upright seating .....closer to 90° angle of knees. Your knees don't have to be jammed up into the steering wheel or your chin and while Riding high you can still see easily out the top of the windshield
The reviewers are bobbing and weaving on the Connect because it's difficult to pigeon hole. It's a specialty vehicle. A ton of cargo space today, a ton of passenger capacity tomorrow. Yes, folding the second and third row seats into the floor isn't intuitive. Because unlike many "mini-vans" (and there's nothing "mini" about the Connect's interior space) the seats really do fold flat and vanish into the floor. It's a multi-step process. Not the easiest engineering trick to pull off. But mastering it doesn't require an engineering degree. A challenge at first, it soon becomes second nature. As to reliability issues, where are they? My 2015 XLT LWB is approaching the two year mark with zero reliability issues. The electronic trans sometimes gets a little confused, particularly in the extreme Florida heat, but it ultimately sorts itself out. As the reviewers noted, it's a great driver, with plenty of pep, responsiveness and stability paired with a somewhat stiffer ride that might not be mushy enough for some. But again, it's one van trying hard to do two very different jobs. If you buy a Connect it's because you need a Connect. It's not an impulse buy. You don't arrive at the dealership with your sights set on a Fusion and accidentally drive off in a Connect. Is it perfect? No. The infotainment unit is a mess. But after a week or so you'll eventually get your cell phone paired. Getting it to actually call someone might take a bit longer. But just keep looking over your shoulder at all that cargo/passenger space behind you. Because that's why you bought it.
I have a 2015 Transit Connect. I am A Espresso/Coffee Technician. I am the 4 corners service tech for Starbucks, McCafe, etc. my van has 123000 miles and runs great, no problems. I cross 12000' mountain passes in Blizzards, and very bad weather. and she just keeps motoring along. I run Blizzak style studless snow tires in the winter, Pirelli in the summer. very comfortable to drive on the long haul. I can work up to 18 hours a day. and I don't get worn down. I am watching this video because I am thinking about one for the family!!! M4C
Love your comments guys but i can't understand why the new Transit/Ram ProMaster and Sprinter Vans are never included in your reliability report... It's beyond belief that i have to choose one of those 3 without any real reliability data... (quiet sobbing)
I would warn buyers that we have a fleet of 5 Pro Master City. The ignition key gets locked and can not be taken out (2 weeks in shop), The transmission on another is having to be torn apart (piece by piece as per manufacturer instruction). We have only had these vehicles 3 months and all 5 vehicles are showing symptoms of having the same issues as the two in the shop now. Another note only certain dealers are authorized to work on Pro Masters. I have a Dodge Dealer about 3 miles away I have to travel 20 miles to get to an authorized dealer to repair any thing on it.
Hope they've improved in 2yrs? Was looking at a 2018-19 Promaster City w/2nd row seat. But I know the reliability won't be same as my '15 Toy HL-LE. I better keep it or keep looking. That's scary for such new vehicles.
The demand has been increasing by the 'outdoor crowd' for simple boxes like the Transit Connect. So, not having any bells-and-whistles in the passenger area is fine for that market segment. More clearance would be ideal b/c roadtrips for this crowd will end-up on bumpy dirt roads. My guess is CR leans towards the Odyssey for lower long-term maintenance? But the Odyssey isn't very stealth.
If I could make one small suggestion to CR with these videos: could you please show just a little bit more b-roll, especially when you're describing certain details about cars. Specifically, I'm thinking of when Gabe was describing the inside of the Nissan Quest and the "trunk" it has. It would have been nice to see that shot, as I am unfamiliar with that feature. I suppose at the end of the day, I can google it (I will). Love these videos - it's must-see TV for me!
It's so easy to talk when it's not your money. If Ford actually sold a diesel Transit, with manual transmission, none of you would buy it. I owned a Eurovan with manual transmission. I think mine was one of 500 in the U.S. I drove a Ford Mondeo in Europe with manual and turbo-diesel. It made sense in Europe where gas is $10/gallon. Here, a V6 or turbo I4 gas makes more sense, and the public doesn't want (or even know how to use) a manual transmission.

Thanks for addressing my question about the Quest. I'm a little confused and a bit upset though that Consumer Reports could rate the van higher than the Sienna, but then go and say in a video "we wouldn't recommend people buying it." Well I did buy one and part of my reasoning was your ratings. Would you also recommend not purchasing the Sienna? The Odyssey was clearly the better van, but the dealers were offering huge discounts on the Quest ($8K off MSRP for a loaded SL model), while the Odyssey remained the much more expensive car. I always planned on driving the car for at least 7 years, but now I'm even more worried about resale since CR can't even recommend buying it. I think that CR does a great job overall in their car ratings, but this is an example of where I wish there was more consistency, or at least greater depth offered on the pros and cons of purchasing a vehicle. BTW, the Quest seats 7 not 6. It's a great van overall, but does drive a bit boring, as Gabe mentioned; although the CVT isn't an issue - it's a minivan! I just wish it had more conveniences such as more storage space (no sunglasses holder or big cubbies), standard bluetooth streaming, and a larger drivers seat - the thigh support could be better. But thanks again for using my question in your video. It was a great surprise.
As a TC Owner, I have three things which have been deemed "as designed" when I had my dealership look into them - Rear heater has very low output | Driver cannot illuminate the cabin (without opening a door) | Mirrors that will not unfold when the vehicle is in motion. #unminivan I own a 2015 TC Titanium.
Hi Carl - Would you recommend a Ford TC, from a reliability standpoint? I'm interested in buying a new vehicle with lots of capacity (camping, outdoor adventures). Did the dealer address those odd issues you encountered....are they the tip of the iceberg?
If you are fine with a minivan that can only heat the rear section 12 degrees above the ambient air temp, and you don't have little ones you need to check on when it is dark, yes it is a nice little van. The visibility in it is great. Don't waste your money on the navigation system. By one with a roof rack and the crossbars because if it is an aftermarket sale, then the price jumps to almost $400 for rack and crossbars.
+yellofury the lights above the second and third rows come on when a door is opened or when the switch on that row is activated. The buttons up front merely control what is in the driver and front passenger space.
hi CR I don't think you tested the latest diesels from europe , I have a diesel fiesta 1.5 TDCI yes its 75hp but who cares I got 150 ft.lb in a flat torque curb from 1.500 RPM to 3.000 , your usual driving band in a diesel in a the small fiesta it push you in your seat any time , the fun part is the MPG it gets , my daily comute is 90% urban/traffic (2 hours for 50km) and I get 4.7l/100km in the winter (50 US MPG) and 5.7 in the summer (A/C on all the time stuck in traffic) 42MPG , last month I had to take it for a long trip (800km) and my average MPG was around 3.1l/100km its 75MPG and I'm not even light on the gas , the trip was average 75MPH with some 110MPH on the flat straights , and the best thing is that the engine has a big tuning potential , I'm talking 115hp and 200 ft.lb in the safest remap setup , and yes its a manual :)
How close are you guys to finishing the new Subaru Legacy testing? One feature I noticed is how a push-button start is only offered in the top-level Limited trim. I find this odd because more manufacturers look to be offering that standard across most if not all trim levels. I realize that once you get in and start a car, having a traditional key versus a smart key fob won't make a difference, but is there an advantage or disadvantage to owning one or the other? Other than having smart keyless entry, I can't think much of a difference. Thanks for all the great shows!
I'm old fashioned but I think metal keys have a couple advantages: 1. Lower replacement cost and easier replacement. 2. The habit of using a metal key and remote lowers the chance you'll leave your keys somewhere in the car or pass along the car without the remote. 3. You can get a few more starts out of a metal key over a push button start on a low battery because you can hold the starter. 4. You can open boxes with metal keys ;)
Kamaka Chang When was the last time you replaced a modern key with an immobilizer chip? There isn't much difference between registering a new smart key fob for a push button start system and having a smart key cut and there are no tumblers to wear out. The dash/steering column is also simpler(cheaper) without a lock cylinder. And if you have a weak battery, replace it. Low voltage can damage sensors so why risk it? Our Grand Cherokee has push button start and you can leave it in your pocket/purse so you don't leave it in the car.
I do not deny that push button remotes have advantages, just merely pointing out the ones for metal keys. I like keys I can turn and gears I can shift. Thankfully cars have progressed past inserting key fobs and then pushing the start button. But having worked at a car dealer I cringe at the replacement of a push button remote, it's easily double the cost of a metal key and remote. Subaru owners might prefer the lower costs and durability of metal keys.
Both have advantages and disadvantages. I was referring to the car's battery. When a car's battery gets below a minimum push button systems will not crank the engine a single time, where metal keys you can try to get a few more starts out of it. It's a minimal advantage but if you work around multiple cars it's one you'll notice.
Listening to "petrol beats diesel" is really strange to listen to as an european. with a 1.5 diesel connect that gets 39 mpg. Diesel is also cheaper than petrol where i live. Diesel is also not as flammable, and the dpf can get flushed in 30min every 5 years, so its really no big cost. But my european rant aside, great content and good channel :)

the thing is the transit starts out as a work van and then converted into a passenger van. most regular vans start out as a passenger van and then converted into a work van. so the interior quality on this van is more of a 2nd thought then at the forefront like with many other vans in this class, considering these vans start out as work vans and the interior was made to be durable for that purpose more so then elegant, which explains why this van has a lot of hard plastic trim. So don't expect to get stylish, and plush interior trim in this van like in other vans in this class, but at the same time its hard plastic interior is more durable and can take more punishment which will last longer then stylish and plush trim will. So there is a trade off there. hard plastic trim doesn't bother me. i'd rather have something durable that can take punishment then something that can't. I have an 05 f150 xlt it has a hard plastic dashboard and hard plastic interior door trim and it's 10 years old now and the interior has held up pretty good, I prob couldn't have said the same if it was all leather stitched.
+SteelCity1981 That's actually not true. All of the cargo vans that you see on the road are shipped to the US with windows and seats to avoid the 25% chicken tax. The seats and windows are taken out and metal panels installed. Google it.
SteelCity1981 The transit does come from a US factory. The Transit Connect is imported from a factory in Spain. Go to your local ford dealer's website and look at the window sticker, it will say it was assembled in Valencia (Spain) or it might originate from the Second Plant in Turkey. Either way, it's not US.

I have 30k to spend on a new or used car. I like sporty cars (preferably with a manual transmission) that look good and have decent power (200+). What should I get? (P.S. Something with a nicer interior would be sweet).
I wished Ford killed the Flex crossover, and make a minivan with that name, a new name, or resurrect minivan names, such as Windstar or Freestar. The Explorer already has three-rows of seating, which is cramped in the third row seats, same issue with the Flex. The Expedition is a big three row SUV that has room for 7 adults, but it's price tag is near $45,000 for the base model. Offer the minivan with optional AWD, to compete against the Toyota Sienna, since the Routan and Grand Caravan are killed off from production.
I'd rather see the Flex be kept, but it needs less unusual styling to be competitive. The present one looks like a Scion xB and a Mini Cooper got it on and had a gargantuan baby. Ideally I would like to see a Fusion or Taurus wagon, but oh no, we can't have those. At least the Flex is better than an SUV.
Question: I recently purchased a 2014 Honda Accord EX-L with both an extended warranty and extended maintenance plan. I'm having second thoughts about the extended plans--which add up to about $3500-- and was wondering if I should cancel them?
I don't know what the extended maintenance plan consists of, but CR did a report on extended warranties a few months ago and found that most people were disappointed with them because they mostly did not need them. The ones who were more satisfied, not surprisingly, bought cars that were not reliable to begin with. Hondas tend to be reliable, though. As for extended maintenance, it could be that they are padding it with unnecessary work. A lot of dealers when you take your car in for scheduled maintenance will add services over and above what is listed in the owner's manual.

The old 2.5 is flawless! I have a 2010 Ford Fusion with 190K miles on it! Very,very reliable! The VW Routon should put a TDI in that mini van. Dodge could flip the 3.0 CRD into the Caravan. They already make Diesel in America!
AFAIK, both of FCA's 3.0L TDi (I4 and V6) are imported from their subsidiary VM Motori in Italia. If any TDi was applied to a minivan it would most likely be the I4, which appears already in a FWD app, the large Ram ProMaster (Fiat Ducato in other markets) van and wagon. The V6 TDi is so far RWD-based only (too much torque for FWD apps)...

One seat wouldn't release in one, the other two seats wouldn't release but after a test drive one of the seats would release. By yourself with nothing in it the performance was OK with the base 2.5L engine which is very dated, put some people in it and it's gutless. If you go with the 1.6L EcoBoost you will need Premium Fuel to get those Performance & MPG numbers.
Whatever happened to the Ford Flex...? Never saw them advertised in local media by established Ford dealers in Houston, TX. ??? The local "Yellow Cab" franchise in Houston, has NOT bought any Ford product since Crown Victoria & Mercury Marque (Some still in fleet have over 300,000 miles on them, city council several years ago, granted permission to cab companies to keep them 1 year past manditory (By Houston cab regulations) 5 year retirement rate.. Now most houston Yellow Cab's are Dodge mini-van type, with a small number Dodge Caravan having wheel chair lift in back for door to door para-transit use... (The Dodge vans appear to sound like rattle traps after 3-4 years hard driving by city cab drivers.).. Lastly, for luxury, Yelow cab has a small fleet of Lincoln Navigators for primarily airport to business district runs, these come equipped with slide out steps that open when passenger doors are opened, these will likely last as long as the Ford Crown Victorias easily, narry a rattle the last ride I took in one & it was a 4 year old model with over 300,000 miles..

The reason there's no diesel minivans in the USA are because the low price of gas. Diesels here are for macho heads who want a commercial truck engine in a pickup truck or wealthy folks making a statement against hybrids. Give VW the nod for making diesel both fun and practical - they're really the ONLY ones doing it. In Europe, gas is about $6.00 a gallon, and diesel similar. If fuel was that costly here, you would see more diesels. Back in the late 70's diesels became popular here somewhat when the cost of fuel was rising rapidly with inflation. When fuel pricing stabilized, the diesel went by the wayside. That and Americans don't like to shift gears and depress clutches in traffic jambs - it's just the way of our instant-gratification, texting, social networking "haven't got the time" culture. We also don't open our windows - we turn the AC on full blast. It's just the way we are.
Consumer Reports has always been blindly loyal to Toyota and Honda. No two companies use more hard plastic in their vehicles yet they never point that out. They do, however, never miss a chance to criticize it in other manufacturer's cars.
Ford has throttle body, and computer problems on there cars just dealt with this problem on my Ford Fusion that I sold. They want do a recall, but offer an extended warranty that they do not honor. Stay away from Fords.Also the rear seats are an headache to let down and move.
Sorry Guys but you do not have a clue about the 1.5 Diesel 6 Speed Manual Connect, It's quiet and smooth and as for your mpg Assumptions you are way Off, the 1.5 Diesel will do 64mpg US Gallons or 76.3 mpg Imperial Gallons with a combined cycle of 56.2 mpg US gallons Or 64 MPG imperial Gallons, And the 1.5 has more Torque than your 2.5l gasser and is not unusual to get 840 miles from a tank of Diesel, I have also had a professional Camper conversion while still managing to retain seating for 5 adults, again Sorry but you are way off when it comes to the 1.5 Diesel 6 speed manual and it really comes alive at Highway speeds, The fuel computer gives you a rough guide but when you work out how much fuel you have used at the Pump compared to the miles you have travelled the MPG is higher, The US really needs the 1.5 Diesel version because on them long highways it will soak up the miles before you have to refuel,

Hi Carl - Would you recommend a Ford TC, from a reliability standpoint? I'm interested in buying a new vehicle with lots of capacity (camping, outdoor adventures). Did the dealer address those odd issues you encountered....are they the tip of the iceberg?
If you are fine with a minivan that can only heat the rear section 12 degrees above the ambient air temp, and you don't have little ones you need to check on when it is dark, yes it is a nice little van. The visibility in it is great. Don't waste your money on the navigation system. By one with a roof rack and the crossbars because if it is an aftermarket sale, then the price jumps to almost $400 for rack and crossbars.
I thought it had 3 buttons by the front dome light? You mean the rear lights dont come on from the front?
+yellofury the lights above the second and third rows come on when a door is opened or when the switch on that row is activated. The buttons up front merely control what is in the driver and front passenger space.

hi CR I don't think you tested the latest diesels from europe , I have a diesel fiesta 1.5 TDCI yes its 75hp but who cares I got 150 ft.lb in a flat torque curb from 1.500 RPM to 3.000 , your usual driving band in a diesel in a the small fiesta it push you in your seat any time , the fun part is the MPG it gets , my daily comute is 90% urban/traffic (2 hours for 50km) and I get 4.7l/100km in the winter (50 US MPG) and 5.7 in the summer (A/C on all the time stuck in traffic) 42MPG , last month I had to take it for a long trip (800km) and my average MPG was around 3.1l/100km its 75MPG and I'm not even light on the gas , the trip was average 75MPH with some 110MPH on the flat straights , and the best thing is that the engine has a big tuning potential , I'm talking 115hp and 200 ft.lb in the safest remap setup , and yes its a manual :)

How close are you guys to finishing the new Subaru Legacy testing? One feature I noticed is how a push-button start is only offered in the top-level Limited trim. I find this odd because more manufacturers look to be offering that standard across most if not all trim levels. I realize that once you get in and start a car, having a traditional key versus a smart key fob won't make a difference, but is there an advantage or disadvantage to owning one or the other? Other than having smart keyless entry, I can't think much of a difference. Thanks for all the great shows!
I'm old fashioned but I think metal keys have a couple advantages: 1. Lower replacement cost and easier replacement. 2. The habit of using a metal key and remote lowers the chance you'll leave your keys somewhere in the car or pass along the car without the remote. 3. You can get a few more starts out of a metal key over a push button start on a low battery because you can hold the starter. 4. You can open boxes with metal keys ;)
Kamaka Chang When was the last time you replaced a modern key with an immobilizer chip? There isn't much difference between registering a new smart key fob for a push button start system and having a smart key cut and there are no tumblers to wear out. The dash/steering column is also simpler(cheaper) without a lock cylinder. And if you have a weak battery, replace it. Low voltage can damage sensors so why risk it? Our Grand Cherokee has push button start and you can leave it in your pocket/purse so you don't leave it in the car.
I do not deny that push button remotes have advantages, just merely pointing out the ones for metal keys. I like keys I can turn and gears I can shift. Thankfully cars have progressed past inserting key fobs and then pushing the start button. But having worked at a car dealer I cringe at the replacement of a push button remote, it's easily double the cost of a metal key and remote. Subaru owners might prefer the lower costs and durability of metal keys.
Both have advantages and disadvantages. I was referring to the car's battery. When a car's battery gets below a minimum push button systems will not crank the engine a single time, where metal keys you can try to get a few more starts out of it. It's a minimal advantage but if you work around multiple cars it's one you'll notice.

The Ford Transit Connect is more of a work van than a traditional minivan.
Listening to "petrol beats diesel" is really strange to listen to as an european. with a 1.5 diesel connect that gets 39 mpg. Diesel is also cheaper than petrol where i live. Diesel is also not as flammable, and the dpf can get flushed in 30min every 5 years, so its really no big cost. But my european rant aside, great content and good channel :)

the thing is the transit starts out as a work van and then converted into a passenger van. most regular vans start out as a passenger van and then converted into a work van. so the interior quality on this van is more of a 2nd thought then at the forefront like with many other vans in this class, considering these vans start out as work vans and the interior was made to be durable for that purpose more so then elegant, which explains why this van has a lot of hard plastic trim. So don't expect to get stylish, and plush interior trim in this van like in other vans in this class, but at the same time its hard plastic interior is more durable and can take more punishment which will last longer then stylish and plush trim will. So there is a trade off there. hard plastic trim doesn't bother me. i'd rather have something durable that can take punishment then something that can't. I have an 05 f150 xlt it has a hard plastic dashboard and hard plastic interior door trim and it's 10 years old now and the interior has held up pretty good, I prob couldn't have said the same if it was all leather stitched.
+SteelCity1981 That's actually not true. All of the cargo vans that you see on the road are shipped to the US with windows and seats to avoid the 25% chicken tax. The seats and windows are taken out and metal panels installed. Google it.

The transit does come from a US factory. The Transit Connect is imported from a factory in Spain. Go to your local ford dealer's website and look at the window sticker, it will say it was assembled in Valencia (Spain) or it might originate from the Second Plant in Turkey. Either way, it's not US.

Yes most of the Connects that are sold are cargo vans that started off life as a passenger van and shipped to the US.
I have 30k to spend on a new or used car. I like sporty cars (preferably with a manual transmission) that look good and have decent power (200+). What should I get? (P.S. Something with a nicer interior would be sweet).
I wished Ford killed the Flex crossover, and make a minivan with that name, a new name, or resurrect minivan names, such as Windstar or Freestar. The Explorer already has three-rows of seating, which is cramped in the third row seats, same issue with the Flex. The Expedition is a big three row SUV that has room for 7 adults, but it's price tag is near $45,000 for the base model. Offer the minivan with optional AWD, to compete against the Toyota Sienna, since the Routan and Grand Caravan are killed off from production.
Rumors are the Flex may be killed off. It won't be missed along with it's 18Ft. deep doors and seats.
The Grand Caravan is going to be killed off, because Dodge and Chrysler are going to go different directions in the future.

I'd rather see the Flex be kept, but it needs less unusual styling to be competitive. The present one looks like a Scion xB and a Mini Cooper got it on and had a gargantuan baby. Ideally I would like to see a Fusion or Taurus wagon, but oh no, we can't have those. At least the Flex is better than an SUV.
Question: I recently purchased a 2014 Honda Accord EX-L with both an extended warranty and extended maintenance plan. I'm having second thoughts about the extended plans--which add up to about $3500-- and was wondering if I should cancel them?
I don't know what the extended maintenance plan consists of, but CR did a report on extended warranties a few months ago and found that most people were disappointed with them because they mostly did not need them. The ones who were more satisfied, not surprisingly, bought cars that were not reliable to begin with. Hondas tend to be reliable, though. As for extended maintenance, it could be that they are padding it with unnecessary work. A lot of dealers when you take your car in for scheduled maintenance will add services over and above what is listed in the owner's manual.

The VW Routon should put a TDI in that mini van. Dodge could flip the 3.0 CRD into the Caravan. They already make Diesel in America!
AFAIK, both of FCA's 3.0L TDi (I4 and V6) are imported from their subsidiary VM Motori in Italia. If any TDi was applied to a minivan it would most likely be the I4, which appears already in a FWD app, the large Ram ProMaster (Fiat Ducato in other markets) van and wagon. The V6 TDi is so far RWD-based only (too much torque for FWD apps)...

One seat wouldn't release in one, the other two seats wouldn't release but after a test drive one of the seats would release. By yourself with nothing in it the performance was OK with the base 2.5L engine which is very dated, put some people in it and it's gutless. If you go with the 1.6L EcoBoost you will need Premium Fuel to get those Performance & MPG numbers.

The local "Yellow Cab" franchise in Houston, has NOT bought any Ford product since Crown Victoria & Mercury Marque (Some still in fleet have over 300,000 miles on them, city council several years ago, granted permission to cab companies to keep them 1 year past manditory (By Houston cab regulations) 5 year retirement rate.. Now most houston Yellow Cab's are Dodge mini-van type, with a small number Dodge Caravan having wheel chair lift in back for door to door para-transit use... (The Dodge vans appear to sound like rattle traps after 3-4 years hard driving by city cab drivers.)..
Lastly, for luxury, Yelow cab has a small fleet of Lincoln Navigators for primarily airport to business district runs, these come equipped with slide out steps that open when passenger doors are opened, these will likely last as long as the Ford Crown Victorias easily, narry a rattle the last ride I took in one & it was a 4 year old model with over 300,000 miles..

Why is it that Ford keeps pumping vehicles out before they're fully developed? A dozen recalls on the Escape, the problems you've had with that Transit, isn't this hurting the brand?
The reason there's no diesel minivans in the USA are because the low price of gas. Diesels here are for macho heads who want a commercial truck engine in a pickup truck or wealthy folks making a statement against hybrids. Give VW the nod for making diesel both fun and practical - they're really the ONLY ones doing it.
In Europe, gas is about $6.00 a gallon, and diesel similar. If fuel was that costly here, you would see more diesels. Back in the late 70's diesels became popular here somewhat when the cost of fuel was rising rapidly with inflation. When fuel pricing stabilized, the diesel went by the wayside. That and Americans don't like to shift gears and depress clutches in traffic jambs - it's just the way of our instant-gratification, texting, social networking "haven't got the time" culture.
We also don't open our windows - we turn the AC on full blast. It's just the way we are.
Consumer Reports has always been blindly loyal to Toyota and Honda. No two companies use more hard plastic in their vehicles yet they never point that out. They do, however, never miss a chance to criticize it in other manufacturer's cars.

Ford has throttle body, and computer problems on there cars just dealt with this problem on my Ford Fusion that I sold. They want do a recall, but offer an extended warranty that they do not honor. Stay away from Fords.Also the rear seats are an headache to let down and move.

Sorry Guys but you do not have a clue about the 1.5 Diesel 6 Speed Manual Connect, It's quiet and smooth and as for your mpg Assumptions you are way Off, the 1.5 Diesel will do 64mpg US Gallons or 76.3 mpg Imperial Gallons with a combined cycle of 56.2 mpg US gallons Or 64 MPG imperial Gallons, And the 1.5 has more Torque than your 2.5l gasser and is not unusual to get 840 miles from a tank of Diesel, I have also had a professional Camper conversion while still managing to retain seating for 5 adults, again Sorry but you are way off when it comes to the 1.5 Diesel 6 speed manual and it really comes alive at Highway speeds, The fuel computer gives you a rough guide but when you work out how much fuel you have used at the Pump compared to the miles you have travelled the MPG is higher, The US really needs the 1.5 Diesel version because on them long highways it will soak up the miles before you have to refuel,
