The secrets of snail cosmetics | More glow, active hydrating, less wrinkles?

This video is about the ingredients and the advantages and disadvantages of cosmetics with and from snail secretion (snail secretion filtrate) - and why it is so popular. To do this, I visited the snail farm of a (still) small producer of natural cosmetics on Crete, where I was able to find out more about the background of snail cosmetics and, above all, about the keeping of the animals.
Skin care products with snail secretion have been used in Korean cosmetics (K-Beauty) for a long time. The secretion can be found, for example, in serums, creams or masks.
Numerous cosmetics companies from all over the world, such as COSRX, Benton or Mlle-Agathe, now offer products with and made from snail slime - and promise real miracles. And so these cosmetics have meanwhile also become a real hype in other parts of the world: Fine glow, good skin hydration and fewer wrinkles are just a few of the effects that are said to be associated with this special type of natural cosmetics.
The main reason for this is the valuable ingredients in the secretion, such as allantoin or hyaluronic acid. Studies also prove the positive effect of snail cosmetics (snail beauty cosmetic) on our skin. However, the extraction of the secretion and the husbandry of the animals are controversial. In the video I show you the manufacturer Escargot de Crète, who breeds snails for their own cosmetics product line Panacea3 and attaches great importance to animal welfare. Many innovative ideas are being used here to optimize the living conditions for the snails.
