Gday mate i am doing a resto on a fiberglass runabout at the moment, the previous owner had those el cheapo festoon lights on it ( in the bin with em) the problem was he had them facing upwards great for the qantas air crew to see ,unfortunately there are no brackets like on my last boat so i have had to drill into the side windows for the mounting so they sit properly didnt want to make brackets up would look a bit tacky but they work well and with my little stern light everyone will see me my anchor light is around 3 feet on the bow so i rekon im sweet for some night fishin .
That's perfect mate. I used to work as a commercial skipper and run a ferry and water taxi at night. The lights dont have to be perfect for me to quickly work out the direction and type of boat. Great job mate.
