Life of a Former Detroit KINGPIN - Part 1 - Fresh Out Interviews

- In part 1 of our mini-series, Peanut shares what childhood was like and how it sparked his interest in money!
Affectionately known as Peanut, or Mr. BMB, Brian Maurice Brown was bred on the same vicious Detroit streets that took the lives of his parents within 28 days of the other. He faced insurmountable odds yet always managed to thrive. Life took a drastic turn when the leader of a $68 million dollar narcotics empire was wrongfully suspected of murder and forced him to go on the run. His survival skills kicked in and served him well during a 5-year stint as a fugitive profiled on America's Most Wanted.
After serving nearly 10 years in the Federal Correctional system, and discovering his life's purpose, he came out better than ever and has become a respected entertainment mogul on the rise. He is the CEO of BMB Entertainment and prominent indie recording label BMB Records. Even with this success, Brown's proudest accomplishment is being a loving father to his children, loyal husband to multiple wives, and the protector, provider, and stabilizer of many. His mere existence despite the traumatic and astonishing life he's lived is unfathomable. Brown's philosophies on love, life, and self-assessment; lay the groundwork for a new approach to personal, spiritual and professional fulfillment.
His principles of living outside of himself as a form of survival and sustenance are the subject of Living for the Sacrifice: A Hood Hero's Guide to Success. The page turning book, which inspired a 2018 film festival contending documentary of the same title, is available on Amazon.com.
Without a doubt, Mr. BMB has become one of Detroit's most notorious figures. In 2017, he was honored in a tribute song "Peanut on the Way" by Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star Ray J featuring popular rapper Boosie Badazz. Produced by heat maker, BMB producer Dre Butterz, the upbeat track pays homage to the unlikely hero.
Ray J's catchy hook "I'm in trouble…I know Peanut's on the way" is an ode to Brown's mantra of living outside of himself for every soul or situation.
Since its inception in 2013, Brown has driven the growth of BMB, which is an acronym for "Breaking Major Barriers", exponentially. The entertainment brand specializes in urban music projects by established and emerging recording artists. BMB Records has released hip-hop legends such as Trick, Charli Baltimore and more contemporary talent including rap sensation Kash Doll, Fox TV Empire star Bre Z and teen stars Que 9 and Brooklyn Queen. With the charismatic leader at the helm, and in accordance with his outline; BMB Entertainment has made a notable impact on the local music scene and is poised to make its mark in the industry as a whole.
LIVING FOR THE SACRIFICE: A HOOD HERO'S GUIDE TO SUCCESS
Living for the Sacrifice: A Hood Hero's Guide to Success is the fascinating book that offers the 'outline of engagement' of one of the most intuitive and interesting men of our time, Brian Maurice Brown. A former drug kingpin turned Grammy-nominated music executive, Brown [and moreover his purpose]; is the complex subject of the American Gangster meets The Secret-style masterpiece.
"Living for the Sacrifice is a riveting self-help book that reads like a gritty urban novel, but the main character is far from fiction. Brian Brown is real, raw and ready to share his secret to success and happiness with the world." Explains Brown's Co-Author, Treavion Davenport.

Big Herc! Your channel gets better and better! Keep up the great work Brother!
Joey why you bustin them cheeks
Herc, you’re a beast with these stories, seriously better than what’s on TV.
Hey
Word cant remember the last time i tuned on tv
this show needs so much more support. You guys do amazing work!
It's crazy how there wasn't at least one level headed person to push him to take the good university offers. Could have saved him 15 years.
elmosmidlap I just think he was a product of his environment. If he was raised in the suburbs around positive role models he probably could have grown up to become a genius.
@NEGUS MBARKA "Middle class is dead" Wtf lmao
You flew all the way just for us herk shout out to you my man, love your channel!
Good shit! Great content!
ayy whadup death
this brothas life changed when he was short for 5 dollars-this shit crazy bruh props to peanut for giving this interview ,an again big herc great job on not interrupting peanut theirs lots of rude people that shouldn't be interviewing people
because people in the hood dont snitch... as long as your paying it 'forward' many will look over the bums and crackheads and give you a nod, sadly this man snitched on himself by being sop flashy... id get one ugly car and live in the forest
Jessika Cardenas I didn’t understand that part of the story. He was goin to school, trying to do the right thing and his grandparents cut his $? Can anyone explain that understands that?
@@donaldmack2307 great comment. Some people just can't say anything just want to cut people down.
Big Herc is all the way in D-Town doing it big time. Much props brother. Showing love from Gary.
Can you do more interviews in Detroit we need people like you aka real OG this street life is not the life
Dude look like “Tron” from The Chapel Show.
*WHAT UP DOE?*
It's cool to see somebody else interviewing a cat from Detroit other than Al Profit. Detroit did things differently. A lot was going on back then. Y.B.I, Curry brothers, White Boy Rick, Pony Down, Eddie and Courtney, Maserati Rick, Butch Jones. It was deep.
He dresses like he's fresh out
Julius Torres funny
That's just another day in Detroit
Lol he stuck in the late 80s early 90s
Julius Torres in 1985
THE CW this is my uncle
Big Herc the only Brotha I know that got triceps cuts not on the back but the side of his arms.
I been looking at that for the whole documentary tryna figure out wtf it is
@DeepWaterBlack gay
Look at his old pics, his arms had good shape. He no doubt shot up some kind of synthol or other type of oil before. Haters will hate but its definitely obvious
That's what happens when you inject Synthol
LA Dr
THIS GUY A OG
This is Armon dad💯💯💯
Great intro. I like how you interview people who did time and turned their life around. Thanks.
That tile in the bathroom that said peanut makes him a kingpin. Real talk.
Google him that's all I have to say. millionaire 50 times over
Willie Wonka Huh? Tell us more grand master.
@@ArkOmen1 With the amount of street cred before he even got busted gave him power in prison. The millions of dollars in prison, shit, he could buy everyone there. Notice he said "banks were much easier back then". He had a ghost account probably. Seriously with millions in prison he prolly paid off the COs as well. He got more money than they will ever earn. Im sure he was quite comfortable.
Take your broke Ass to sleep
Herc is a talented interviewer.
Big Herc really knows how to interview quite well, I'm impressed.
I’m from Michigan, and trust me, that’s a very very serious dude
That's what's up peanut keep it lit real talk when can we get part 2 vlog💯💯💯👍👍👍
Phenomenal!!!! Keep telling our story!!!
Big Herc, I have enjoyed the videos and followed a lot of your content put out. Seeing how much your channel has grown and the positive impact it has had on showing how people can be rehabilitated and can become contributors to society is truly a testiment of your personality and how great of a man you are. I have subscribed and hope your channel keeps growing and educating on a part of society that doesn't need to go unnoticed. keep up the good work and split the wigs of the haters and doubters.
Im loving the diversity of the series Big Herc. Get to hear the stories from all walks of life. Guys like Badger and Peanut are a real asset to the show.
I dont think you can get more west detroit than that jogging suit.
I know. Funny!
🤣🤣
@NEGUS MBARKA Right 😂
It's a Detroit thang. It's a trademark.
Youngins take note, back in the day it wasn't no vlogging or UA-cam, showing off,u heard the playboy!!!
In Detroit - Once a Kingpin, unless you snitch, In Life and In Death Always a Kingpin.
Great interview, this OG went from being a kingpin to going to jail and now making something of his self and giving back to his community. Most drug dealer, sports athletes, entertainers and black businessmen don't and won't give back to where they came from. SAID!!!
Triple double OG. Knowledge is power*
People dont understand that we Detroiters are hustla with goals. We gone turn 1 into 2 no matter what.
and then 2 into 0 and you ll end up dead, in jail or broke like the dude from this video.
I love this channel! I hope some kids in similar situations see this and change their path. So proud of you both.
Very interesting guy, he got his degree in business administration. No wonder why he was so good at what he did. He understood how business worked from an academic and street point of view.
great interview! some valuable. wise and sound advice from a TRUE O.G.lets hope they listenin...
You should become a character in the next GTA!
Matt No I would love to run around and split wigs in the next gta
😁😁😂😂
They already played him as Franklin
You just mad bitch!!!
Lol yeah
Glorify, glorify, glorify. The cycle will never end. Cities will never get better with that culture.
Great story. Detroit, born and raised, east and west.
want that part2. got me anxious.
Detroit City ❌NO FLY ZONE❌
Man Herc this is like gold.
What up nut??? Elkton OH. Lol really good dude!!!!!
When I was growing up in Detroit I looked up to Butch Jones, Maserati Rick, & the Chambers brothers.
Swapped the difference is he still rich
What happened to the 3 of them?
Good role models.
Got their wig split?
This was very interesting and it’s obvious this is a smart man but how can you say you love your community in one breath and say you sold your community crack in another breath?
Because when he was selling his community crack he didn't give a fuck but now he does? How many young people do you know in America who give a fuck about their community? Basically no one unless there is a catchy clique to join protesting and then when it goes out of fashion they go back to doing nothing.
Same as people who say they love their family cheat on their spouse and break up their family, or people who say they love their kids yet become addicts, or people who say they want to be rich yet work low paying job.
His community wanted crack and he provided.
b/c that's what they all say!NO DISRESPECT to anybody!😀👍
Cristian Nuques Exactly 👍

A good interviewer when they ask about people early days it’s always great to show pics of tht person from around tht time they speaking of in history
"Former"🤣🤣🤣 if you know you know lmao D town stand up
I feel like it's the users choice to do heroin or whatever they gone get it from somewhere so why demonize the dealer
Exactly all drugs should be legal period
You're serious?
Love and support your channel. Real straight up without b.s. keep up the good work 💯💯 💯
Man Herc, I am so happy you came to the D, fuck with us............DEXTER BOYZ FO LIFE
Soo many drug dealer stories..very simular..good student.likeable.talented..mann..the stories u must've heard in jail..
LaJette Holland the whole good in school thing is just them knowing what people want to hear. it's called manipulation. all the real smart hustlers are not on this channel..i don't need to tell you why. but I will. it's cause they smart.
this guy had almost 100 cars, all those houses and talking about being low. key.
the only way to do it and be successful is to have a low number like $500,000. the man said he had $192,000 in just 60 days.
number two the second you make your first sale assume them boys already have your picture, name, and a indictment waiting on you!
hustle like that and you won't ever end up on this channel..
Daniel Young. Exactly! If you gonna have all that flexin you better wash the money well. As far as I get it this guy wasn't even washing it at all.
Daniel Young ..this dude is talking about back in the 80s when cops could care less about a damn thing niggaz was doing and at that time the cops was mostly focused on weed cocaine and heroin..also the cops wasn't prepared for the crack cocaine epidemic it came out so hard and fast most had never seen anything like it before ..it took the cops and fed almost 5 yrs to learn how to take down kingpins like this dude they brought in new laws just to slow the shit down...a true story I was chilling with one of my home boys on a corner back in 86 ..the corner was a weed corner for yrs the cops rolled up on him because they knew he sold weed .. they searched him found over a thousand dollars and all these little off white rocks in his pocket the cops asked why u got all these weird looking rock things in your pocket ..he said it was for a science project at school.. the young white cop didn't even know what crack or ready rock looked like they asked him where his weed was stashed and he said he didn't have any weed and he was just hanging out ..the cops searched the ground found nothing and drove off .. I'm sure if it was cocaine or herion in his pocket they would have known what that was but that's how new crack was to the scene.. a yr later every cop was looking to make an arrest of a crack dealers ...also back in the 80s 100,000 was a days work if u had the right connections ..
the 80's called, they want their jumpsuit back lmao
Dont Trip .. jumpsuit???...
Those buildings are beautiful. So much character in these old constructions!
Quantity and quality doesn't get any better big ups Big Herc
Gwoin up I had cheekths and aspirations
If you could get Nate "Boone" craft on here that would be awesome
billy ripcan watch al profit channel
DETROIT, MICHIGAN IN THE HOUSE. Was born in Detroit 30 years ago and I work and will always hold the city up!
I grew up in Port Huron but hung out in Detroit a lot. My best friend went to Wayne State. I live in Raleigh,NC now. Its too quiet here.
I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment
and give thanks for the great contributions of the *Democrat*
community to our society. I love driving down their streets and seeing
the American flag waving so proudly in every yard. Their peaceful
and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to
their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any
other culture. You can witness this by their strict adherence to our
local and Federal laws. Their commitment to academic excellence en-
riches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve
prominence as a people. Just watching their *Special* kind of Science
change our society is simply amazing. I mean, who ever thought there
are 187 Genders? Real estate values are fueled by the mix of
*Democrat Americans* into an area due to their caring and respectful
nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved
through their enthusiasm for self improvement by hard work and a
self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative
drive, we would undoubtedly be poorer as a nation.
*Well, except for the Mass Shootings, The Racist, Lawless, Violent, Junkie,*
*Self Entitled, Christian Hating, Antifa Loving, White People Hating, Pedophilia*
*Loving, Cop Hating, Jew Hating, Abortion Loving, Bigoted part I mean.*
I.never heard of this dude before back in the day i don't think he was making millions his name definitely would of been ringing
Detroit Rockin Reggie only name back was the Rick. Curry brothers ect
Detroit had a lot of drug dealers that were getting money from 60s to early 90s, suburbanites would drive all the way to the city to get high, Maserati rick and Demetrius Calloway were the bread winners cause they had a legit Colombian connect in the city during the 80s, so they were mostly supplying dealers with kilos, than regular customers with grams.
..i was born in 86 and i heard of him lol..
52 houses and 96 cars or whatever he said...he was making millions...probably not hundreds of millions like the big big King pins...but for sure millions
Cuz a real legend out here.💪🏾💯🍾🎊💙❤️🖤
as a kid i hated going to visit my grandma in the 80's because she lived on the east side and it was a war zone back then.
sg500 ..lmao
Fresh out is such an underrated channel
can't fathom how thing's changed after 15 years inside . back in the day Detroit was happening . today not so much .
I can't help to put the common theme of no father figure with majority of these men. Otherwise good dudes that just fell off the beat path for a min
Brian Pecsi yeah, that's the truth. The only role models / hood celebrities they aspire to be like is the dope man who has all the respect. It feeds the prison pipeline. Females don't need a man, they marry the state.
Yup that is common and then you have those that have a great family unit and end up in the streets selling dope and doing time.
Yeah true but dude had a grandfather in his life but what u say is true Because everything I learned in life came from older street dudes until I learned how to think outside the box ..
Brian Pecsi
Just like the a typical idiot white boy to assume they didn't have a father, and the man in the video was raised by his grandparents, so they both had men in their lives!!!
Shit, a lot of you white boys have fathers, and you still grow up fucked up.
grand parents aren't the same as parents. when the young man is 14,15,16, that transitioning age the grandparent is up in age themselves.. testosterone naturally depletes as the older male gets up in age. men need younger men to keep them in place.
What’s the song for the montage?
MY 🇵🇷 FAM out there! RESPECT and a Salute. What's up Tios!
Your interview skills on point big H
Seems like a cool dude though. Live learn only one judge.
Experience doesn't mean fashion sense.
One of your best videos herc keep up tha work.
Just watched this for the first time on Tubi and had to search it up on here to see if I can find it. Showing love ❤️
Invest in Detroit
Detroit city officials are corrupt and if you enter a housing market there you will be miserable with this trash town. Look somewhere else but Detroit!!!!!!
White people been doing it and still doing it. They pretty much gotta lock on property. Black folks with money to scared to invest in Detroit even the ones from Detroit.
@@chevyDboyMike No, but the black political leaders in Detroit sure weren't scared to TAKE ALL THE MONEY OUT OF THE CITY.
Herc, good to see you in the D while I'm in Thailand. Go get yourself some Lafayette Coney Island downtown. It's been there since the 1930's or some shit and they are the best coney dogs you'll ever have!!!

270k.... nearly getting to that 300k mark ;) keep it up. Joe from APS is getting a bit silly, broadcasting every little mistake he makes as if his viewers lives revolve around him. this is the real deal.
After Prison Show is pure garbage. It has become a children's channel. Not that it was very good to begin with. But the guy is completely delusional.
I wish they would work together
Maershkin Schrabs that guy is corny they he looks talks everryhing
Joe is a little level 2 pussy. Big Herc and DeathiBring are the real deal. I wanna see Mr Death and Joe step into the ring and watch Joe get fuckin rocked.
