I am a British woman and I think they should not be allowed to wear it. I have been in group changing rooms in my underwear and 3 people came in covered head to toe. I couldn't tell if they were male or female and they towered over me. From their gait and build they seemed very masculine. I felt very threatened. Especially as they made no attempt to get changed. They just stared at me. I had no right to stop them, so I quickly dressed and left. I respect other people's beliefs but I feel they should respect my rights too 😢
I wish you had tried to talk to them and see if they were male or female. If they were male, i think you should have reported to the venue's management. We shouldn't allow them to get away with this kind of intimidation.
Wearing the hijab as a way to hide one's sexual orientation reveals an interesting interest between culture and identity. In societies where traditional norms often define what is considered acceptable behavior, the hijab can act as a strong symbol of modesty and religiosity. However, for some people, it can also function as a protective veil, allowing them to explore the complexities of their personal lives while meeting social expectations. This duality underlines the intricate relationship between personal expression and cultural conformity, where the hijab becomes not just a piece of clothing, but a strategic tool in seeking out difficulties amid social pressure.
When I was teaching in Dubai, an Egyptian Muslim, teaching assistant came to school wearing the burqa and other Muslims (Pakistani and srilankans) nicknamed her ninja. They’d poke fun at her and talk behind her back.

Face covering or head covering is identified with Islam. So a terrorist who goes on a shooting spree, could identify a Muslim and exempt head covering people from shooting. Why all these costumes. Why can't they go out without these symbols like any other women in an European nation.
Excellent. Back in 2002 Florida here in USA a Muslim woman refused to take her veil off to get a pic on her DL or picture ID. Full face covering should be banned
Weak? Nope, it's about money... Why do you think many Muslims até in Europe? Coz we're too Christians? Nah, we need oil from Muslim countries, we need to sell airplanes, flights, etc. Then with an ageing society, immigration was supposed to solve the issue... All a freaking illusion.
Terribly weak and naive. UK and most European countries don't realise that there is an agenda behind it. The agenda is 'Islamazian' of the Western World.
I am a big supporter of women choosing whatever they want to wear (be it head scarf or western dressing). But covering face is bad for the security reasons. I don’t find this ban unreasonable TBH. At the end, one must respect the country’s legal and social rules. Just like one does not wear bikini in a library, it is also correct to ban face veil for securely reasons.
I think I’m the same and I support women being able to wear the hijab (after they are grown up and if that is what they really want), but covering the face is just very weird, unless for safety reasons (ie riding a motorbike), or is specific circumstances, like during Covid. Being able to see someone’s face is very much a part of our culture, and it definitely creates distrust when we cannot see someone’s face (I’m of the same opinion of protestors wearing face coverings too).
If muslims have no problem with restrictions in muslim majority countries, they shouldn't have any problems with restrictions in non-muslim majority countries also. Ain't that so simple
Logical fallacy. That's an appeal to 'principle' on the assumption that a principle is held above tribal interests - much like how an appeal to Authority holds the authority figure above else.
@OrwellsHousecat One, i never heard about "appeal to principle" fallacy Secondly i specifically said "if muslims" I never said i agree with this or i want this. More than any other group of people, muslims are particularly tribal. They have a tendency to support their own in a way I've never seen any other community does. You get what you give. It's simple.
@@Lathi33 👍🏽 You never heard of 'appeal to principle' because I just made it up (! 😂) to describe a phenomenon I have observed. Logic from Philosophy often makes the assumption that a principle is held universally (eg if I accept this here, I should also accept it there) when this doesn't model human behaviour at all. Human behaviour often works along a tribalist way with one 'principle' held for the in-group and another for the outgroup, or one idea used to gain power and it's opposite once power is attained in order to limit the power of others (eg 'free speech is used to say things and gain power, but once power is attained censorship is used to limit the power of others). Thus simplistic principles, whilst useful for the laws of physics, are self-defeating when applied to social relations because they don't account for basic human duality.
@OrwellsHousecat The word "principle" means first, or most important, so it should be held above tribal values. The principle of respectful reciprocity should apply regardless of the customs of individual tribes.
I think you're right that if people want to practice extreme islam, they should go to an Islamic country. If I went to an Islamic country, I would respect their culture. As a Christian, though, I wouldn't go to an Islamic country as I know I would be persecuted for my faith or worse. This is an islamic problem, I'm afraid. No other belief causes these issues worldwide. It's sad to see so many led to oppression and violence by Islam. In honesty, the world will always have problems while Islam is taught.
I saw a woman in a full black burqa in the middle of a scorching summer. Only an opening for her eyes. Her husband was fully comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts. Doesn't seem fair!
You should see them in water parks and swimming pools in full black grab. The dress clinging to their bodies and every shape clearly visible yet they feel as long as they are draped in black everything is ha1a1.
My organization CFO ,a British guy.. went to Indonesia after 20 years.. He told earlier barely 15% wore a hijab. now almost 80-85% wore it.. the whole view set him off, being a westerner.. and he told he would not expand business there now..
Same thing told to me by a nurse who used to travel as a westerner wearing bikinis at the beach and feeling very safe in the 90s. The people generally wore shorts and shirts. Hardly anyone wore the hijab there. But with globalisation and communication through leadership channels, you have them conforming to the same dress codes internationally.
I don't like seeing people in this country wearing the burkha, for a number of reasons, one being it makes me feel a foreigner in my own country and I don't like feeling as if my country is being given away to another culture. I personally feel it's disrespectful to come live here and then rub your difference's in your new country's hosts face's.
If she wants to wear a head scarf and a cloak that covers her body that seems okay (they are probably told by men to wear the apparel) In 1971 thousands of women came onto the streets in Iran to protest about having to wear this apparel. The important thing is her face is uncovered, so that people can see who she is, especially the authorities, and not under the face mask is someone on the run from the cops who has a thick black moustache. a little moslem boy lost his mom in the supermarket the security guard asked what does your mom looks like the little boy said i don't know
My view is that if Muslims want to live in the West, the reasons don't come into it. They should live by our laws and if a Western country like Switzerland wants to ban it that is their right in their own country. We don't expect Islamic and non-Christian countries to change their laws to accommodate Western visitors so why do Muslims expect some sort of compromise from us?
If a non-muslim western woman goes to a Muslim country, she's expected to cover her hair, so when in the west, they should have to adopt Western values.
The reason that the UK is favoured is, here they are a minority, thus given a voice above the local people. Whilst in their own country, their voice becomes one of many, and has no right to special treatment.
I believe its because they want to spread their caliphate across the world , that's why they want to move to non Muslim countries rather than Muslim majority countries
If you can’t recognise a person in public because they cover their faces it becomes a security issue. The general public has the right to be able to identify another person
The Burka and the Hijab ARE NOT religious wear or in the Quran at all yes it says be modest but nowhere does it say anything about any type of clothes at all.
Yes and no. It does say you have to wear clothing/vail like a burka but it doesn’t say explicitly hijab/burka and have to cover certain parts of the body.
@curtisedwards885 Yeah that is what I mean it never says exactly what you have to wear and there for the Burka and Hijab are NOT specifically religious clothes.
you live in Switzerland , you live by their rules as you should in any country you move too. Were it at home no problem. Anyone can be anyone when wearing one. Should be banned through Europe. why should we change for 6% of the populace its up to the 6% to change and assimilate
Next the Hijab needs to go forcing women into ANY clothes is wrong as for "CHOOSING" to wear these things most are brainwashed into it and social pressure all in all it's a bad thing.
@@matthew-005 Covering the face is an issue in our European culture as this restricts communication. However, I will always stand for the right of a woman to either show her hair or not. Love and respect the law of the land otherwise move
Good for Switzerland wish the UK would do the same.
The civilized world should follow suit
Well done Switzerland, Love for the Cayman Islands.👍👍🙏🙏💯💯
Step in the right direction.
Amen to that!
Also in Switzerland the mosques are not allowed to cry/yell through a microphone the call for prayer. 🎉
good
Cancel all mosques is even better. Make muslims as unwelcome as possible.
Thanks Lubna for making this short duration video.
Correct decision taken by Switzerland.
As all countries should follow suit.
Excellent. Back in 2002 Florida here in USA a Muslim woman refused to take her veil off to get a pic on her DL or picture ID. Full face covering should be banned
Love Switzerland. Great decision for Western civilization.

Running around like a letting box it's horrible looking & disgusting,, you speak the truth & the truth has to be told
Well done Switzerland 👍👍👏👏
Why can't we do this in UK? We are weak!
The West is to politically correct. They have done this too themselves.
@OrwellsHousecat
One, i never heard about "appeal to principle" fallacy
Secondly
i specifically said "if muslims"
I never said i agree with this or i want this.
More than any other group of people, muslims are particularly tribal. They have a tendency to support their own in a way I've never seen any other community does.
You get what you give. It's simple.
@@Lathi33
👍🏽
You never heard of 'appeal to principle' because I just made it up (!
@OrwellsHousecat
The word "principle" means first, or most important, so it should be held above tribal values. The principle of respectful reciprocity should apply regardless of the customs of individual tribes.
@@OrwellsHousecat
You might've mistaken me with some philosopher. My brain is on fire reading your comment.

Thank you, Lubna! Thank you for speaking out and being brave!
Well said again, Lubna
I think you're right that if people want to practice extreme islam, they should go to an Islamic country. If I went to an Islamic country, I would respect their culture. As a Christian, though, I wouldn't go to an Islamic country as I know I would be persecuted for my faith or worse.
This is an islamic problem, I'm afraid. No other belief causes these issues worldwide. It's sad to see so many led to oppression and violence by Islam. In honesty, the world will always have problems while Islam is taught.
0:55 They’re ninjas, we don’t even know if they are men or women.

I saw a woman in a full black burqa in the middle of a scorching summer. Only an opening for her eyes. Her husband was fully comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts. Doesn't seem fair!
Husband almost always dressed like an American tourist!
You should see them in water parks and swimming pools in full black grab. The dress clinging to their bodies and every shape clearly visible yet they feel as long as they are draped in black everything is ha1a1.
Remember he was "protecting" his elevated princess. Her discomfort was his act of worship😂😂😂😂

Absolutely wonderful to listen to the voice of reason, keep up the good work Lubna 😊
My organization CFO ,a British guy.. went to Indonesia after 20 years.. He told earlier barely 15% wore a hijab. now almost 80-85% wore it.. the whole view set him off, being a westerner.. and he told he would not expand business there now..
Yes understand that everywhere..even in moderate Muslim countries, it has rapidly increased.
Surely, this cannot be from any change in belief, but from a motivation to display separateness.
@@reshs7362 Same in Iran and Afghanistan. Girls wearing short skirts and free as a bird.
for security reasons we should ban balaclavas - current uniform of criminal gangs
On protests or marches and in shops or public buildings, same as motor bike helmets.
Best Decision ❤❤❤❤
I don't like seeing people in this country wearing the burkha, for a number of reasons, one being it makes me feel a foreigner in my own country and I don't like feeling as if my country is being given away to another culture. I personally feel it's disrespectful to come live here and then rub your difference's in your new country's hosts face's.
It’s really depressing see this people waking in the UK….
@@aline.giardinvote to ban it. Period
If she wants to wear a head scarf and a cloak that covers her body that seems okay (they are probably told by men to wear the apparel) In 1971 thousands of women came onto the streets in Iran to protest about having to wear this apparel. The important thing is her face is uncovered, so that people can see who she is, especially the authorities, and not under the face mask is someone on the run from the cops who has a thick black moustache. a little moslem boy lost his mom in the supermarket the security guard asked what does your mom looks like the little boy said i don't know
Wow this speaks volumes and the importance of faces
It’s the slaves wear
They are a very vocal and dangerous minority.
I believe its because they want to spread their caliphate across the world , that's why they want to move to non Muslim countries rather than Muslim majority countries
They’re not a minority where I live. They are an affront to our society and should be banned.
If you can’t recognise a person in public because they cover their faces it becomes a security issue. The general public has the right to be able to identify another person
Thanks for bringing this to my attention Lubna.
No worries!
THANK YOU LORD.
A laudable initiative on the part of Switzerland .There should seemingly be no space for such outdated practice in the present world .
Well done Switzerland.
So glad you brought this up. 2 Muslim nations have also banned it. Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
An excellent decision Swiss
I agree why can't they just walk around in normal Cloths. It's not even about a wearing a bikini I think that's a bad argument

The Burka and the Hijab ARE NOT religious wear or in the Quran at all yes it says be modest but nowhere does it say anything about any type of clothes at all.
It's essentially the way Muslim men know which women can be abused and which can't. This is not fanciful - it's in their religious literature.

Everything’s what you said is absolutely right, same opinion here.
Next the Hijab needs to go forcing women into ANY clothes is wrong as for "CHOOSING" to wear these things most are brainwashed into it and social pressure all in all it's a bad thing.
Not in Switzerland. Our police is not a fashion police.
@erikt1713 If it was just a fashion issue it wouldn't be a problem.
@@matthew-005 Covering the face is an issue in our European culture as this restricts communication.
However, I will always stand for the right of a woman to either show her hair or not.
Two years ago I took part in a demonstration against the mandatory veil in Iran as my wife is Iranian. We were joined by a friend of hers who always wears hijab. It's not a contradiction as we were protesting in favor of the choice.

Here in Australia we had a politician wear it in the parliament as a stunt and a warning. There is a cool article where Elham Manea talks about this and some other issues involved, please google Muslim Scholar Calls Defenders of the Burqa ‘Naive’, there's some cool info there plus the chat on the ABC. Elham is a Swiss lady btw.
Copy paste from the article: 'Since the Gulf oil boom of the 1960s, Saudi Arabia has spent significant state resources in spreading Wahhabism through religious institutions, mosques, clerics and the distribution of religious books and tracts. According to a 2004 report by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security, it is estimated that from 1973 to 2002, Saudi Arabia spent around $87 billion on these efforts.'
The politician was Pauline Hanson, who did the stunt, wasnt it?
