I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through this. Although I come from a Muslim family by birth, our mother was a very narcissistic person and made everyone's life a living hell. Though not related to religion (we are all Muslim), she was a very arrogant and manipulative individual. Friction between parents and children is always horrible and leaves lifelong scars. I'm 65 now and still feel a terrible loss.
Same.. Though she was Orthodox Christian. I just find it funny that she has the nerve to call herself a good / noble person & a person of God! People are wicked.. No matter the religion & how strong the basis is, somehow they never lead a righteous lifestyle.. Oh yeah, she never ACTUALLY fully-read the Bible either lol. It's maybe thanks to HER I thought religion was all so wicked, I at one point even hated religious people & I called myself an "atheist", even though I always believed in God's existence but I am ashamed to admit if I spoke to God it was mostly negative.. I still catch myself committing this sin to this day when things are really-bad in life, I hope he forgives my ignorance because of my pain. It's amazing how much damage a parent can do to your mental health but I found peace in no-longer hating her, I don't want to say I forgive her because she's evil and there is no repenting of any sort, she genuinely believes her ways are fine but I guess I just don't hold any feelings towards her at all, her existence just means nothing to me and that's how I save myself from her doing any more harm to me ever again, our abusers LIVE through us, whether it's fear of them or hatred of them.. That's why s*xual abusers are devils-in-flesh, what they did to their victim is extremely hard to just forget, forgive or ignore how I just described.. Let's pray for the mental well-being & freedom of mind & soul of victims of these truly despicable crimes.

As a Christian , I think what her family did to her was horrible , a religion is something you should choose to believe in , even though I still believe in Christianity over islam , I totally understand this girl’s situation , she didn’t deserve that , if you want to be a Christian you have to have a heartfelt conversation with God in your prayer and you need to accept him yourself and believe in him so he can enter your heart , her parents were too hard on her to the point where they drove her thoughts away from the reality that God cares for all of us and that he gave us the free will to pick him and not to be forced to let him lead our path , may the Lord be with this girl and her struggles , may the Lord also be with whoever is reading this , amen 🙏🏼

Here it is being reassured that Allah does not leave alone those who strive in His cause sincerely, even at the risk of a conflict with the entire world, but He helps and guides them and opens for them ways towards Himself. He teaches them at every step the way of winning His approval and goodwill and He shows them the light at every turning point to discriminate between the right way and the wrong ways of life. In short, Allah helps and succors and guides them according to their sincerity and intensity of desire for goodness.

Assalamu alaikum my beautiful sister, your story touched my heart SubhanAllah, when you had tears in your eyes from your pain of what you experienced, I did too. You seem like an amazing person with a beautiful heart, Allahumma Barik. I too reverted to Islam, Alhumdulillah, and I thank Allah every day for guiding me because I was really in such a dark place and had experienced so much in my life from a young age. I did not however, experience what you did with my family, they all pretty much was kinda okay with what I chose to do and how I lived my life, even if they didn't really understand it. I lost my beautiful beloved mother two years ago, may Allah have Mercy on her, Alhumdulillah she accepted Islam, so that is such a relief that I can make Duaa for her, and ask Allah to reunite us in Jannatul Firdous, Ya Rabb, because my tears still flow almost every day still from missing her, SubhanAllah. May Allah always bless you and keep you firm on the deen, and guide us always to what is correct and what pleases Him, Ameen. JazakAllah Khair for sharing! May Allah allow us to meet one day in person, and if not in this Dunya, in Jannah, Ameen!
