Mike, I bought the wheel version mini skid steer, and as of now have not been able to use it. The throttle cable and handle were broken and I am attempting to shorten the cable. I am going to make all the changes you did, thanks for the video's!

@@FourFoot25 I put 8 hours of run time on mine, moving dirt for a community garden this week. Worked flawlessly. I also tested a landplane I just made. I need to do a video on it. Works great. I'm sure you'll get that throttle issue worked out and be using it in no time. Keep me posted.

do you have part numbers for the oil drain hose and valve setup? I'm getting close to changing the break in oil on mine and want to have all the parts ready before i begin the rather messy process.

@JHulce It is an EZ-109 on Amazon. M12x1.5 thread. There are hoses, like "Drainzit" on there also. Just make sure of thread size. The hoses are easier to install.

@JHulce If you go with the valve, just take it to a hardware store to get the clear tubing, clamps and fit a barbed brass fitting with plug.

I have the same mini skid. Zero information with the skid for the oil filer and hydraulic oil. I reached out to FRAM with the information I found on the Chinese oil filter. FRAM responded with no cross reference oil filter. What are you using? For the hydraulic oil I'll probably use the same as my log splitter, SINOPEC L-HM 32. What are you using? Thanks.

@bruce9251 I dumped the original oil almost immediately but did not change the filter. I figured I'd put a few hours on it and then do an oil and filter change. Not there yet. I have seen someone say that the Briggs and Stratton OEM 492932 fits. They are available on Amazon and my Tractor Supply store has them. I plan to take mine off, check thread pitch and diameter and then match it . I'll likely try to do it in person at Tractor Supply. If not there, then the Autoparts store. For Hydraulic fluid I'm using AW 46.

@@mikedesilets3324 Hey Mike thanks for the reply. Any particular reason for the AW 46 and not 32? I don't know much about hydraulic oil.

@@bruce9251 I believe that choice was based on someone else's video. I'll see if I can find it.

@bruce9251 A quick search noted they are interchangeable but weather based. 46 for "moderately " warmer weather, as it is thicker. 20 weight vs 10 weight. I did find an exact ambient temp range. The operating temp for the 32 said 413 to minus 11. But I've read that hydraulic fluid begins to break down over 140°F, 60°C.

@@mikedesilets3324 Hey Mike. I think the 46 will work fine. Seems middle of the road and can work in several environments. I emailed PETROLEUM SERVICE COMPANY INC. before your reply. This was their response: "We can’t guess as to what your OEM might recommend, but as crazy as it might sound, Bobcat uses regular 10w-30 in their hydraulic systems. It is very convenient being most of their models are gas operated so they recommend the same thing in the engine as well as the hydraulics. While it doesn’t seem normal, engine oils have high levels of zinc that do a great job protecting the hydraulic pump. Besides that, I don’t think you can go wrong with using a high quality AW 46 either."
Good information. I'll go with the 46 based on your reply and theirs. Plus you've been using the 46 and it works. Thank you Mike!
