I had never played any ATM packs until I saw you playing ATM8. It was fun to watch and made me want to dive in. This is doing the same thing. Never played a skyblock before. Thank you for the inspiration.
On a side note, thanks for caring about people the way you do. Take it from a stranger, you are making a difference.
The idea of using a compacting drawer for your cobblestone is actually genius and not something I thought of while playing this pack. Kudos!
About witch water alternatives:
- The igneous extruder is simple and reliable. Using component kits to upgrade it is possible, but they don't have a massive impact. You'll always feel like you need more.
- Extractors are in a similar boat, but they are faster by default and afaik don't get upgraded.
- Specifically for creating soul sand, I recommend using create. I personally don't super love the mod but I have to admit that infinite potential throughput is a plus. For putting the sand into place, a dropping conveyor belt from Immersive Engineering is an easy option.
- As with many packs, a lot of things are easiest to just use mystical agriculture for. Consider rushing it early.
- IFs Stonework Factories are pretty decent and can automate multiple steps of the production process. Be sure to use speed, processing and efficiency addons to maximize their potential.
The Extractor from XyCraft is extremely OP. I'm pretty sure that it will be a must have during the speedrun.
This is good to know!
@@AlfredGGMC Yeah. It basically takes no energy at all and extract thing to the chest it's pointing at depending on the ressources that are on it side.
Check the recipes it can do it's pretty crazy. I mostly used it for endstone at the beginning, but it can do so much more.
Also the easiest way to get a lot of resources like endstone and tuff
Never would have thought I, a 28 year old man would be so excited over a new Minecraft video but here we are… love the series man!!!
One of the most entertaining lets plays I’ve found for TTS. You have the perfect balance of explaining things but not over explaining things where it feels like it’s dragging on!
I worry about this a lot, so thank you for clearing it up for me! :D I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it.
The wandering traders are useful just because they have nice enchants… that’s their only benefit😂
As you probably already guessed, refined storage/a drawer system is the first thing you should strive for. Mob farm for ability totems is another early one- very early creative flight is possible with ability totems!
Love the "let's play" type videos, personally.
One tip I can think of is that you can put blocks in your off-hand and the wand will just place them down to cover whatever area you click on - so you don't have to place a bunch of compressed blocks first, you can just use the wand. Works well if you have a pre-laid-out area just for smashing, like an 8x8 of some random other block (the Chipped stoneworking table is good for that).
The Superheating Element is super cheap to craft. You can also make steel with the ore hammer early game.
Also using barrels with 2x2 compacting upgrades go very well with the auto sieves.
Do you mean the 2x2 Drawers? or the sophisticated storage barrels?
@@AlfredGGMCthe barrels from sophisticated, and witg the upgrade u can auto compress the ore chunks into ore
@@AlfredGGMC The sophisticated storage barrels. The 2x2 upgrades lets you auto compact all the ore chunks. Just make sure to whitelist them because otherwise stuff like amethyst or so gets compacted as well. You can then connect all barrels to a storage controller and continue smelting/doubling from there.
Also check out Deepslate and Netherrack/Blackstone sieving. On Netherite meshes you produce so many pebbles you can feedback into itself. I have a single extractor making Deepslate but with feedback the sieve runs with 3 Diamond upgrades. Same for Blackstone basically I only make Netherrack and the byproduct from that + feedback from Blackstone sieving itself feeds the whole thing. No Blackstone extractor needed.
1: make an energy condenser. It will take diamonds but it's worth it, it lets you transmute mob drops as long as you have one of each
2: get into Alchemistry and mekanism to make more diamonds (coal/charcoal, graphite bars, crusher for graphite dust, compactor for diamonds, 16 coal becomes a diamond) Alchemistry also lets you make a variety of metals from plants and dyes, so flower farming is a good idea.
3: YOU CAN TWERK TO GROW MYSTICAL AGRICULTURE CROPS
4: alchemistry can make your first ender pearl with some flint and some warped wart tree leaf things, and you can get your first blaze rod from a quest for a silent tools sword blueprint.
5: Mekanism can get you your Create mechanical crafter for 1/8th the redstone cost for your crushing wheels, and you can crush and wash raw iron for more redstone.
6: The xycraft extractor can generate tuff, which can be crushed into a variety of metals in the background
7: USE YOUR EXTRA COPPER, upgrade your backpacks, furnaces, etc to copper tier before iron tier to use your copper and save on iron.
8: This one is in the quest book (recent update), but you can use the Integrated Dynamics squeezer to get an average if 2 raw ores from 1 ore block. Then you can upgrade to the mechanical squeezer for better odds, and that will last you to endgame. However, copper naturally gives you a lot of raw ores from breaking, so stick to fortune or luck from your Ars spellbook. Not that copper really needs more ore doubling.
Personal preference, use copper from sifting to get Immersive Engineering LV power set up, only takes copper, clay, wood, iron, and a single string. Saves on redstone.
Alchemistry also lets you create new seeds pretty easily, beetroot seeds require a small investment of iron but can then be used to grow iron. I also used it to get sweet berries and rabbit's feet. Alchemistry can also be used to turn water into your first ice, but the quest book does say that. Then wash the ice with Create to get packed ice, and use a compacting drawer to turn it back to normal ice to dupe it. For some more good uses of alchemistry, check out videos of the Antimatter Chemistry modpack, but do note that that modpack added new recipies so you can start turning the ground into useful materials.
This was previously mentioned, but time in a bottle and repair talisman are both great.
I've been going through a lot myself and not gonna lie. seeing a video from u pop-up was just awesome. Love watching and hearing ur voice. u just have one of them voices.. can'twait to see more!!
This makes me really really happy to hear :) I'm glad I could help make things better!
Just saying squeeze then crush. Squeeze ore first to get however much duplicates that wants to give then crush with ore hammer to double all that even farther.
Thankyu for uploading
Idky it’s so satisfying to watch you use the sieve 🤣. Loving the series so far keep up the great content!
2 tips for the early grind.
1: make a repair talisman from projectE .. it's quite cheap and repairs the most of your items.
2: as soon as possible make a time in a bottle and save some time.. you'll need it later.
Shit myself when I saw the time in a bottle recipe was only 5 netherite a clock and bottle
Yeah, I'm brainrotted to expect unobtainium in the recipe now
An Energy Condenser is also a wise investment. There's only a few items that have EMC but it will allow you to transmute between common mob drops (turn wool, meat, and rotten flesh into blaze rods and ender pearls)
Just so you know super heating element is very easy to get early game as soon as you have an ore hammer, some coal and iron to make steel. Steel is the biggest obstacle to super heating element, which is easy with the ore hammer recipe. Good for early game lava generation for lava power, easy to scale
if you put the item you want to use your wand on in your offhand you can place it without having to place any blocks first
You are easily the most entertaining personality on youtube and I would love to see more these "regular playtrough" videos. I miss Buddy tho. Thank you.
Love the content Alfredgg mised ya man, you have made modded minecraft fun, bearable and considerably less frustrating.
This is good to hear
hype for 2 eps in 7 days!!!!
As a recommendation I personally make 2 Crusable and take the 1 mins to get the Super Heated Block instead of using a camp fire what what I did just to speed through the start
One other thing I usually do in every modpack with rechisel as long you get 1 ingot you can just mine the bricks in the house and just convert them back into stone saving some time(Usually mined on the start)
I love your vids. I'm glad you are reposting to UA-cam. It's made my day watching.
the xycraft extractors dont use it it just has to be there
early game it might be better to mine some logs from your house to craft a crook and crafting table on a stick then plant a tree then plant all the saplings in a row as short trees are easier to deal with (sorry if this is useless)
dude u are insane. thank u
ill settle for 2nd!!!
The extractor doesn't use up the lava.
just with the ore hammer u can make the super heating element
You can enchant your meshes with fortune and effiency
What does efficiency do to the meshes?
Speeds up the sieving
typing while watching video. Super heating element block is very early game to get i get it within like 15m
also on cozy cottage you can get hemp seeds allowing you to get string much much much faster
Since I have never played skyblock before starting this pack ... I was hoping you had some tips for me on how to play this kind of pack ... lol
Don't worry, I will!
It's okay, you can follow along and if I see your questions I might help you out! If you wanna see someone absolutely breeze through a SkyBlock with near-perfect efficiency, I'd recommend Threefolds series on ATM7Sky. It's very similar to this one.
what autoclicker do you use? need one for run!
Making a 5x5 sieve setup wastes a lot of materials early. For speeds sake I wouldn’t go over a 4x4. I use 3x3
Also extractors don’t consume the lava.
This is important to know! Thank you
Can you elaborate on your reasoning for not going to 5x5? I think it really pays for itself in saved time
@@AdroSlice the 3x3 needs ~ 1/3 of the string, flint, and iron for the meshes as the 5x5 does. I'd say it's worth it to tier up to gold and diamond with fewer meshes and then move on from sieving.
Make a repair Telesman frome project e and repair free all tool
Projecte recipes are changed, so that it’s more engame. Gonna be a while before he can get into it
@@ralphenevoldsen9978 The repair talisman is very cheap and a good early game item
Early game grind is why I don’t play sky blocks. Not fun at all.
That’s actually one of my favorite parts idky lol
The 4x ore process early game kinda compensate that
As a new watcher and someone who's struggled with life before, especially when it comes to motivation in darker mental times, myself and I'm sure all your other viewers can say we're proud of you! Thank you, and keep up the great content at your best!
Thank you so much for the kind words
@@AlfredGGMCit sounds patronising but you gotta make sure you do self care not because its guaranteed to make us feel better but because failing to do so is guaranteed to make us feel bad.
The squeezer is definitely worth using on the speedrun. If you read the tool tip if gives you a hint on how to make it very fast just put 3 armor stands on it and when your give it a redstone signal it shoots the armor standa into the air and the come down and crush the ore for a chance of double/triple
A small tip for the sieves is that the difference between 25 of them and 22 in sieving time is nothing as long as you're sieving stacks at a time because it only grabs from the stack you're holding that's why at 8:53 it only filled half of the sieves. Making 25 of them might not be worth it but they're pretty cheap soo who knows really I usually just go for 16 because it makes sieveing stacks a bit cleaner although it does make it 4 instead of 3 rounds per stack
i always do stuff in multiples of 9 and use the heavy sieve because it needs just one mesh
So glad to see your back loving the new vids. Thank you and welcome back!
Surprised you didn't make a dank for each sieve item, keep the content coming
He's going the distance. He's going for speed.
yeah its all good - more like this but I''ll be watching the speedrun too lol. I hope your numbers do you well.
21:17 RuneScape players punching the air rn
thank you so much for this. you are the man!
Getting into mystical agriculture asap is definitely your best bet for the speed run, crouching and vein mine works and gets you stupid amounts of resources without having to hammer, compress, sieve, and smelt. A bit of a grind to set it up takes the fun out of the automating the sieves but definitely the best bet for your speedrun
This sounds like what I'll be doing then! Thank you!
mmm apples
Repair talisman should be doable in early stages
Very doable. Trivial even. Just need to sieve some dirt for sugarcane, twerk it til you have 3, and progress up to iron mesh to get a diamond
ore hammer
Just curious what auto clicker you use/recommend? I love skyblock modpacks but the manual clicking especially early game just always ruins it for me
I personally have a Logitech mouse, so I use the G Hub to set up an autoclicker macro and bind it to the side button on my mouse!
I downloaded the op auto clicker app allows up to 1 millisecond speed
SpeedAutoClicker works and is very simple on windows. On Linux, xdotool and ydotool with a script will do what you need.
FOr speedrun porpuse, I dont think you'll need more than 3x3 for the manual sieve. You can get into auto siefting so fast, it is kinda a waste to make that much mesh. And gold is not an easy resource to get
the heavy sieve is equivalent to a 3x3 sieve grid (except for a potential 1-8 unsifted blocks)
@@catmanxplodes6208Thats not in this version btw
